The register shows New Directions Inc – Cleveland providing intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

Miss this place they are the reason I can live a happy life
Came a long way was a resident when i was 14 and went again when i was 15. this place truly helped my life get back on track. sobriety rules. shout out big 40, big mac, skyler from day one, my counseler rachael, eric,… roland, the teachers, jonny, my boy scott, t money, brook, every single treatment specialist and counseler where once my family that i will never forget. horrible to see this place being shut down i’ll never forget all the good memories and times and help this place gave me. i am truly grateful for new directions and i hope people can help in all there power to keep this beautiful place running. thank you ND.
I was a resident around 2022 - 2023 ish, the staff was all amazing, Big Mac as we call him is the most amazing sobriety figure to have for children, and looking back other than missing home and occasionally getting in… trouble with other kids I really do miss the peace and serenity this place brought me, looking back all I could think about was going home and using, but little did I know new directions would set me up with the foundations normal life couldn’t of taught me, forever greatful, this is definitely one of the better rehabs to send a kid to, every place has ups and down and un accounted for pros and cons, if you want your child’s safety and well being guaranteed this is #1 I can’t promise they’ll fix them, but they’ll give them a chance, happily sober today after multiple slips and life changing experiences, the disease of addiction affects all aspects of life, I wouldn’t trade being sober for anything else.
former client from back in the days before they added the girls building. great place i’ll always remember. thank you for your teachings. always wondered how this place turned out. miss it a lot. thank you for all of… your help when i was a troubled teen
My experience here has been overwhelmingly negative. Communication is practically nonexistent, and the therapist assigned to me is frequently unavailable due to medical leave, leaving my needs unsupported. The feeding… schedule is inconsistent, meals are often served frozen, and concerns I raised were repeatedly ignored. I felt completely alone throughout the process, and instead of receiving help, things became significantly worse. At this point, I’ve lost trust in the program and can’t recommend this place to anyone seeking reliable support. I will say that Eric, Jason, and Mack were the only staff members who consistently acted with professionalism and care. Unfortunately, their efforts couldn’t make up for the broader issues within the facility. I genuinely hope the organization addresses these problems for future clients.
I just want to give a amazing review. New directions was the right choice for my teenager. They made a difference. They taught him so much in 60 days. Even if things don't go right I know they gave him the foundation of… sobriety. So I would recommend to anyone who has a teenager struggling. The first and only place I felt my peace when my kid was there. He has the tools now it's his choice. Thanks new directions
I never had an issue with the treatment team or therapists. The teachers need to be replaced tbh. They treat the clients with disrespect and are kept unchecked about it. Other than that my stay was great. Thank you for… helping me start my journey in recovery EDIT!!!!!!! Thank you ND for helping me establish my foundation in recovery! February will be 5 years sober and I couldn’t be more grateful for having been in your program as a teen! I’ve graduated HS(‘21) and now have a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful children! This wouldn’t have been possible if I was not sent to your program. Thank you!
Was a resident back in 2022 my therapist was rinn ramcke, did 120 days in two different stays, if your not used to being around recovery culture it can be hard, you can’t choose what kids come in but about half of them… are heavy in streets. This is one of the better rehabs, you can go outside, go to meetings, and they can keep you busy but it’s also a ton of sitting around. I kept in contact with about 10 other kids throughout and I think 2 stayed sober.. maybe.. I learned nothing prepared you for how different life feels after this place.. in all the dark evil bs places like this can have, I look back at new directions as one of the more safe havens, any kid who tries fighting an other kid will immediately be discharged, I saw this happen twice. At the end of the day the staff are what dictates the mood and overall atmosphere, but I heard it doesint pay much so with what staff we had “40” “mac” “Rachel” “Amanda” “Oliver” “Frankie” “Eric” “Silvia” the teachers, and other faces like Susan and Robin were really inspirational to me and I still miss them in a way. I’m 19 and still struggle but I’m alive and trying.
I got out back in March, but this place made me lose my will to live. Just the rules and 1 of the clients, I felt like the song “First Day Out” by Tee Grizley when I got out. and you can only talk to ur therapist once a… week, idk what else to say bc i have sm to say!
I was at this place over 15 years ago back in ‘09. And I would recommend this place to any teen or young adult suffering from addiction. This place helped me in so many ways not just with my addiction but also mentally… and spiritually. Chuckie was the best counselor there at the time she kept it real even when you didn’t want to hear it and she did not play she took her job very seriously. Thank you New Directions for helping me all those years ago😊
I was there, 2019, I was admitted for a DUI but had substance abuse of every way going before I arrived. Pam, Mac, and all the others helped me so much I am now almost 2 years sober and I'm planning my career into law… enforcement or medical field. They helped me so much words can't describe. I would give anything to speak to any of the counselors, assistants, or teachers again. Even 2 years sober I miss every moment of being there, (although I strived to leave while there) the people who helped me, and the kids I was with, changed me forever. 5 stars to the facility. 5 stars to the staff. And remember, god grant me the serenity.. miss everyone with all my heart. If anyone can. Please contact me, I'd love to speak with anybody in this facility. Thank you.
My daughter and 2 other girls ran away from this place acted like it was no big deal just kept saying it was there choice offered no help in finding them and just said they always come back they never get out of pepper… pike well they make all the way to downtown Cleveland in the ghetto at a drug house
David and Chantal were by far my favorites, but in general it’s a great place to be at, legit! You’ll get people who are home sick but there’s always a staff like Von to talk to you if you’re feeling some type of way,… but don’t get caught cussing in front of Andrea or your hands will hurt from writing. All love though no shade! 30-45 days isn’t that bad when you need to get your life on track!❤️
I was here like 4 years ago still sober I just want to know do Pam still work there that was my favorite person really helped alot.
Excellent staff! Caring and professional they are giving me my son back and that means the world to me. I cannot thank them enough!
I was a client here, and though yes there is quite a bit of kids there who go in, having been released from jail time and don't really want to do anything to help themselves but for the ones who actually go in there… with a mindset of wanting to get help? It's a blessing of a facility. All of the faculty here have had some experience of their own that helps you realize we all have our bad times in life and the counselors take a "make your own path" treatment plan that is up to you to follow through on, honestly? This place is amazing and deserves the recognition for being a life changing facility for those who want it. Many a night i spent playing pool games with the staff and having deep, thoughtful conversations that helped me stay sober to this day. Going on 5 years now (:
they’ll teach you coping skills but they’ll keep you for 9 months if they want to & it is extremely expensive. they are very inconsistent.
23 years ago sill sober. Mike and John ran the place. Debbie Ryan my consoler. Still sober 23 years out. Still have good friend who got sober early on. I was an out of towner. Made to feel well addapted and accepted.… The place has been open 30 years or so. Thats a testament in itself. Too see this still functional makes me proud.
