The Ridge – Milford Detox and Rehab Services
The Ridge – Milford appears on the register for detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Medical supervision covers the withdrawal period, where alcohol and benzodiazepines carry real risk. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.
Only one side is on record here, so ask directly if both are needed. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Ask directly about session times and frequency, as those details decide whether someone can realistically attend.

Records give the address as 25 Whitney Drive, Milford, Ohio, 45150. This address falls in Clermont County. The site also serves the surrounding area, and anyone traveling in should confirm the route before setting out. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.

It can be a scary and painful process going through any program I suspect. But The Ridge staff and their support program made it a very compassionate, Informative, and a truly helpful process. The accommodations were… excellent. From counseling through the course work and group work, the program Is a fine balance of healing, education and preparation. Every member of the staff from the cooks and the counselors to the doctors and administration, all were genuinely concerned with my overall well-being and recovery. I highly recommend The Ridge for anyone seriously considering changing their future for the better.
There is alot more freedom here than other places. I think more personal counseling would be beneficial with trauma. No caffeine and no sugar took some getting used to but i got so healthy while being there, I felt… great when I left! I had a medical emergency while in residential treatment and the input i got from Dr.Soto was completely wrong, i can count on one hand how many times i interacted her, she had no idea what she was talking about but the rest of the staff made up for that. Overall I had a great experience at the Ridge. I would recommend this to everyone. The staff is amazing and they genuinely care about what's going on in your life ❤️
Does this please except men and women?
Best decision I ever made in my life!! Wonderful place
I highly recommend The Ridge. Professional, warm, personal. Provides exemplar therapy and treatment for Addiction Disorders. Every single client is known by name, the treatment team communicates well, keeping everyone… on the same page. The level of dignity, respect and compassion is unmatched. I am forever grateful to everyone in this organization.
Update: Over 2 years sober. I also went through a very high risk period for relapse over the past month. For whatever reason cravings and temptations came back, but I used what I learned at the Ridge and am still sober… and so thankful. Definitely recommend. This is the best thing you will ever do for yourself. Update: 526 days sober and going strong. I have definitely had cravings and vulnerable points, but have managed to stay sober thanks in large part to the ridge. I'm at 8 months sober today and can say that the things I learned at the Ridge still help me every day- literally. I am still in the aftercare program and getting a lot out of it. If you need help this is a great place to build a foundation for sobriety (and abstinence from other drugs as well). Summary: The Ridge is an excellent comprehensive treatment program for alcohol use disorder (and others). I personally had an exceptional experience with the residential treatment program, intensive outpatient therapy, and aftercare. Nothing about this experience was easy but I am confident that due to my experience with The Ridge I have a solid recovery foundation (I am just over 4 months sober currently). This review focuses on residential care Highlights -well developed program that is evidence based -full days -attendance at local 12 step meetings -access to a wide variety of recreational activities and art and music therapy classes -I felt prepared when I left and have continued to feel that way (it has been difficult but I have the tools) -staff are compassionate and helpful; many are in recovery themselves - peer support - comfortable accomodations and excellent food My advice if you are going to a program like The Ridge (these things helped me to have continued success today) -follow the rules, yes they may seem silly -do awkward things they ask like getting a temporary sponsor and numbers at meetings -listen to their advice, they may says things that sound stupid,my experience is that the things I think sound stupid end up being the pertinent ones -try to relax into the time; enjoy not having to do a ton of chores, cook for yourself etc -take the time to build a new hobby I electected to go to The Ridge when I came to terms with the fact that I have an alcohol use disorder. I was receiving psychiatric care and my provider gently led me to acknowledge this. Two providers independently recommended The Ridge when I expressed interest in treatment. Residential I initially signed up for the 30 day program but decided to stay longer as I was getting a lot out of the program and am really happy that I did. Residential days are very full. The beginning of the day is filled with groups. The afternoon has time for recreational activities (no naps). A lot of people take up pickleball during this time but there is also the option to go to the pool (when open), do art, write, etc. Evenings there are 12 step meetings in the community. Accomodations I stayed in a private room which I would say was Marrott quality. Cleaning services are provided. You are expected to make your bed (a pretty minor thing). The meals are excellent and snacks are freely available. The culinary staff are great- very personable and great educators. It was sufficiently comfortable and quiet enough to get quality sleep. Nursing Nursing staff were generally available and very helpful. Medication time windows could be a bit tight but were feasible. Recovery support specialist staff Recovery support specialists helped with sessions, daily questions, and herding everyone, They all have different personalities but in general were very easy to get along with. Supervisory staff were very helpful and responsive. Counselors Generally had very helpful sessions, individual counseling was very helpful.
My experience with The Ridge Ohio was very positive overall. The staff genuinely cares and creates a supportive environment focused on accountability, growth, and long-term recovery. One of the biggest takeaways for me… was the emphasis on understanding “the why” behind behaviors and addiction, not just treating the symptoms. The program also does a great job helping people create real plans for life after treatment, including practical tools for handling challenges and staying on track. Overall, it’s a strong recovery program with caring people and valuable guidance.
Recovery is very difficult but the ridge has the resources and staff that makes it a lot better as you get better.
The staff were extremely supportive of my recovery, made some great friends!
I’m not sure I’d still be alive if it wasn’t for Mary Jo,, Brandon, and Katie. When I first arrived at the Ridge in late 2025, I learned the hard way that I couldn’t do this on my own. I spent 37 days in treatment and… did everything I could to avoid any IOP, PHP, or aftercare that was suggested to me. Less than two month’s later, I found myself back at the Ridge. In mid January 2026 I found myself in the ICU detoxing from substance abuse. As I woke up out of my daze Mary JO was standing above me telling me that she’s going to get me back in and help me get my life back together. This time around was different. I completed 45 days of treatment, PHP, IOP, and transitional living. By listening to the staff and taking their suggestions to heart it has truly saved my life. I want to thank all of the counselors the RSS’s, cooks and all the alumni who come to speak every Tuesday and Saturday. Thanks to Ridge. I have a second chance at life.
The Ridge has been there for me throughout my entire recovery journey. It truly has changed my life. The Ridge is such a special place and is so near and dear to my heart. I will be forever grateful!!
The Ridge gave me the tools to be successful in sobriety. I met so many new friends who are now part of my daily life & I’m very thankful.
I learned so much at the Ridge. It was a wonderful experience. Everyone was so knowledgeable. I would recommend the Ridge to anyone. Best experience I ever had!
The place asks for money up front and then bills the insurance. You cannot double dip. Thats insurance fraud. These people only care about filling their pockets instead of helping people in need. They should be shut… down. As someone who has been in the medical field for 27 years, you cannot ask for 15,000 upfront and then bill my insurance. That is against the law. You cannot balance bill if you bill the insurance company. Patients are only responsible for their deductible, copay or coinsurance. You cant have your cake and eat it too. They dont care about patients only care about the money. This is why Health Insurance has increased.

My experience at The Ridge was wonderful and provided me more than I anticipated. The entire staff are very knowledgeable, compassionate, and supportive. This was the best decision I could’ve made and highly recommend… to anyone considering treatment!
I was in a very dark reality when I was finally able to see I couldn’t control active addiction. I reached out to the Ridge talking to Katie for intake. She guided me through all of stages of the intake process and… after the weather started showing incoming storms she set up with Brandon for him to come pick me up over an hour away from Milford. My ride wasn’t available yet but they still went far above and beyond anything I could have even hoped for to get me to the house to get myself back into the lifelong journey of recovery, one day at a time. The meals were awesome and I never went hungry with Dave, Mike, Michael, Christian, and Z always making sure we had plenty on our plates and snacks in general were never absent. Pat alsowas always filling the snacks up. I loved having the fitness area to get some kind of training in for every single day. The game room was also a very great way to relax after the “workday” in recovery sessions. My counselor Melanie was always ready to hear me, guide me, and encourage my actions into a positive action of recovery. Crystal, Pat, Ryan, Gary, Brett (bearded), Brett (tall), Brittany, Brooke, and Mike always had guidance and many personal experiences to share. They also kept an open ear to understand my life to give better personal advice and guidance for sustained recovery. The community built with other residents was highly recommended by all staff and is vital to staying sober on the outside for me. The encouragement doesn’t stop when you leave. Mary Jo and Brandon have even gone as far as staying in touch with me after discharge to talk to me, check in with me and make sure I had their numbers only helping me know I never have an excuse not to reach out to somebody in recovery. Thank you all for being there at my low.
I had a great experience at the ridge. The staff was amazing and the hospitality was unreal. Definitely 10/10
As owner of Purposeful Path Counseling, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside the team at The Ridge Ohio and have consistently been impressed by the level of care their staff provides. We’ve seen many client… success stories come out of their program, supported by a team that is both highly skilled and genuinely compassionate. The staff clearly care deeply about the people they serve, and the beautiful, peaceful grounds create an environment that supports meaningful healing and growth. We’re grateful for the work they do and the lives they help change every day. We are proud to work with them!
At a time in my life when I was at my worst, I admitted myself into the Ridge’s 30 day inpatient program and am so grateful that this organization has me back on track striving to be the best version of myself. The… staff was outstanding and were able to pull me out of the terrible situation I had put myself in. Highly recommend the Ridge for anyone seeking treatment
After several very challenging attempts to recover in other in-patient treatment programs in this area, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself at The Ridge. I quickly felt seen, heard and safe there, even as I dealt… with detox and a slew of unknowns. The program and the staff at The Ridge are truly exceptional as well as the cleanliness, the food and the consistent focused and customized attention to each client during their treatment. I would strongly recommend The Ridge as a place to go to address issues of addiction and reset a course for a healthier, sober way of life.
Nice accompodations and amenities. Not good treatment. Very 12 step based. Not sophisticated or individualized. Med treatment not competent.
Great experience, I didn’t know anyone walking in the door but now I have new sober friends to hang out with as I keep in touch with all of the client's I met why I was at the Ridge! I highly recommend it for a to find… sobriety!
Dr. Soto interacted with me in a manner that was both dismissive and demeaning, as if I were merely an uninformed component within a larger system. During a severe panic attack in her office—marked by hyperventilation… and an imminent feeling of loss of consciousness—she stated, “Only individuals with schizophrenia or those in psychiatric institutions experience panic attacks.” As someone fully aware that this assertion is medically inaccurate, I was stunned that such a comment would be made by a licensed physician entrusted with mental and physical care. She delivered this misinformation with complete conviction, then abruptly donned her coat and exited the room, leaving me alone in the midst of a medical crisis. It ultimately fell to other staff members to assist and stabilize me. Given this conduct, I am profoundly concerned that she remains employed in a clinical capacity.
My experience at The Ridge completely changed my life. Extremely thorough in their approach and left no stones unturned. I will forever look at my life as pre-The Ridge and post-The Ridge.
Dude I love this facility. Food was good, nice settings, and staff is kind. This comes with a warning. I find this to be true of treatment centers and recovery in general. They lean left and are woke no doubt. And they… for sure will make comments that express it. Also, when you go into rehab you are at your low point I get it. I felt as if beliefs about God and politics were pushed as the "gospel" and they tried to make me feel as my beliefs weren't valid. I remember the first day I was there and I made a comment about the God I believe in, and Mary Jo (I love this well meaning woman) she laughed at me and said " oh Will, my God wouldn't do that" Very well meaning but condiscending at the same time. I'm very thankful for my time there because it made me realize what I truly believe about Jesus. That he is the only way and the only true "higher power" that can save your soul from death. Just being clean is a very low bar for life. I know that my soul needed words of life. Not empty platitudes or another version of "Freudism" They worked for a hot minute but are just temporary like everything else on earth. I would definitely recommend the Ridge. The staff cares! They really do. Just please protect your mind if you go. Eat the chicken and spit out the bones. .
