I found Eagle Behavioral Health at a time when compound stressors triggered my unhealed trauma. I was met with professionalism and warmth from Dr. Theresa and her assistant. At EBH, I am being treated as a person, not… just a diagnosis. Dr. Theresa listens and cares. I have recommended her to others who have also found the help they need.

Theresa took me on when my doctors office closed their psych department. Thank goodness. She listens, empathizes, and gives wise advice. Totally works with your needs for medication. She even switched me off of a sleep… aid that was a narcotic and put me on a non narcotic sleep med. I trust her intentions and value our relationship.

I have been seeing Dr. Theresa for about 2 years now, and I am very grateful for her service and care. Before coming here, I had spent so much money on other behavioral health services that did not work for me. However,… Dr. Theresa is different because she genuinely cares and listens to what I have to say. She has a kind and patient heart. She has helped me to grow and improve my life. The medication that she has prescribed to me has worked immensely, and I can now focus on school and my studies. If you're thinking about coming here, please do, and you will come out of each session as a better person.

Theresa changed my life. I have searched tirelessly for a mental health medical professional to listen to me and genuinely care for me. She did so and so much more. She knows exactly what medications and combination of… medications work. The first session is an hour long and she goes in depth regarding your mental health and well being. She is the only one who listened to me and helped me. Theresa changed my life and I’m finally living the life I deserve. Thank you so, so much Theresa.

I have been going to see Theresa for two years and she has been opened and honest and works with me, listens to me and what I think is going on with my body and what I need and the two of us come up with a great… solution together. Theresa was so dedicated to me that she made me feel like I was the only person that she was treating. Medicine Is truly A hard science to figure out. It is it trial and error and she is right there with you every step of the way. And I can’t say enough about her sweet secretary Dolores she makes you want to come back thank you both so much I know I am in good hands.

There is no doubt that Theresa from Behavioral Health Services saved my life. She is extremely knowledgeable on her medications. She is compassionate to what her patients are going through and makes it a point to… understand the whole picture. I highly recommend Behavioral Health Services.

My experience mirrors Megan's. They waited until 20 minutes before my appointment to inform me of an issue with my provider and needed more information. After providing the correct information and arriving at the… location, they refused to answer the doorbell. When I knocked, a lady cracked the door open and told me I wasn't welcome without even looking at my updated information. The staff is indifferent and unresponsive. Instead of helping, they left me more stressed and frustrated. Avoid this place and find one that genuinely cares for your mental health.

I don't recommend coming here because they truly wont care for your mental health. its sad going to a place you think will be there for you and that you feel safe in and they do the complete opposite. Take your time and… money to someone who will do that for you.

First the pro's - Theresa is very responsive. I was in a very bad place when I met her and she helped me figure out the correct dosage for my medications and after a few months we found the combination that worked… beautifully. When I did hit a bad place and I reached out, she was very quick to get back to me and adjust things. I saw her for a few years. For those few years she was wonderful. Cons - Towards the end, which is the beginning of 2024, Theresa became very unreliable. I could get an appointment and talk to her, but my medications were not being sent over correctly. For almost 3 months, she sent them to my old pharmacy, even though I did ask to change it. She also would send over incorrect doses, I was on Sertraline 300mg and we talked about adjusting my methylphenidate to 40 mg. When I would go to the pharmacy, she would have sent in 200mg of Sertraline and 20mg of the methylphenidate. I would have to call and ask for it to be corrected. This is fine if it's one time, but it started happening every month. Theresa would sometimes fix it, but she started to become quite egotistical and could never admit fault. It also became all about the payment. She would never remember to send the right meds, but she would be very quick to remind me if I had a copayment. And I get everyone wants paid, but I had never not paid. Their billing department did not let me know until after 3 visits that my insurance didnt cover it. Fine, I should have looked that it was accepted. But I did give her the information and Theresa never said anything. I owed over $400. I called her and said I couldn't pay that all at once. That's when we discussed setting up a 3 month supply until my new insurance kicked in. I was very specific, stated she had been sending in wrong scripts, can we please verify everything. SHE STILL SENT THEM IN WRONG. When I called her, she did not acknowledge her mistake and instead said, "If I wasn't happy with her services, I could take them elsewhere." So I did. I'm sad that it had to end that way, but I wanted to write a review to make other people aware that while she can be wonderful, she can also be a bit aggressive and arrogant. Please check the meds she sends over. And Theresa - Don't say you don't know me like you did for the other reviews. You do know me and I hope you are able to continue your practice going forward with empathy and humbleness.

This is the most ineffectual counselor I have ever had the misfortune of going to. Wrongfully insisted I have a disorder that does not remotely fit into my already documented diagnoses. Insisted on medications such as… lithium - I have anxiety and mild depression that I have managed successfully for years with the same SSRI. Theresa doesn’t seem to understand that she isn’t a psychiatrist, that not every patient she counsels is some secret lunatic. The arrogance she carries herself with when I was simply just hoping to take on seeing a counselor a few times a month just for a place I can express and process emotions and just what I call ‘mental maintenance’. She’s incredibly rude, and instead of truly listening to what I’m saying she gives you the impression she’s just simply waiting for you to stop talking so she can administer her opinion, which would be fine if the opinion she gave was plausible or relevant, but trying to insist I have a disorder that I do not, and belittling the psychologists I have been counseled by in my life did not make her seem like the wizened professional she was trying to present herself. She has an attitude that doctors “only think they know everything”. Which is incredibly a bold thing to say when she called me by the wrong name twice, two different names, not even remotely close to mine, not even starting with the same letter. Before disparaging on my past mental health professionals, I would have thought she would have the professional integrity to at least remember my name. This was truly a disheartening and frustrating experience. I will not be going back and will be advising my community and workplace to steer clear if they are seeking true and compassionate counseling.

I have seen multiple different behavioral health professionals in my life and I want to express how wonderful Dr. Theresa is as my psych doctor. I have been seeing her consistently for over a year now. She takes the… time to get to know you and understand how you are feeling. She is genuine and truly wants to help you. I made my first appointment with her last year and she got me in within weeks. Every other place I called couldn’t get me in for months. I got very lucky finding her! She could tell I was seriously struggling and not only did she take the time to listen to me, she made sure she had availability for me to come in for an appointment pretty quickly. Theresa will inform you about the different medications that will help exactly how you feel whether it may be from disorders/phobias/anxiety/depression and so on. She educates you on your specific symptoms, disorders, phobias, etc. so that you can understand why you are the way you are and how to cope with it. She makes sure you understand everything about that medication before you leave. She also likes you to be in therapy if that’s what you need as it usually goes hand in hand with medication. She is a kind and caring individual as well as an extremely educated woman and knows what she is doing. She does not sugar coat or tell you what you want to hear, she will tell you what you NEED to hear without judgement of any kind. She listens and truly cares about helping you. She is easy to get a hold of (as her patient) incase of emergencies. I personally will not be going to another psychiatrist again. Theresa is the best one I have ever found. I’m staying here! If you need help, Dr. Theresa is who I would recommend to you! 5/5 stars! Give Eagle Behavioral Health a call and Theresa will take care of you!
