Hill Country MHDD Centers – Wimberley Address, Location and Contact Information
Records give the address as 15951 Winters Mill Parkway, Wimberley, Texas, 78676. Hays County covers this area. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
Call ahead to confirm directions, parking and what a first appointment involves. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Admissions lines are frequently busiest early in the week, which is worth knowing if the first attempt fails.

I love this clinic. I'm so happy with my care team. Irene, Isabella, Serena, Gretta, and Matthew are all wonderful people. I was really hesitant about receiving help at first but I'm thankful I gave it a shot. They… always greet me as soon as I come in the door with a smile. Matthew is a caring psychiatrist and I feel as though I am being seen and heard. Gretta is also and incredible counselor I enjoy talking to her. They hear you out and I'm not used to that kind of care. They deserve the 5 star.
I’ve had an overall good experience with this company. The only problem I have is that Dr. Matthew refuses to put me back on my ADHD medicine I guess because it’s a controlled substance but I’ve failed two job… interviews due to the fact that he won’t give me my medication.
Can never get my daughter's medicine sent to be filled. Have to call multiple times. No one ever on same page.
Serena is a medical assistant here and she has to be one of the rudest people I have dealt with professionally. She has LITERALLY HUNG UP IN MY FACE TWICE when asking if I’m gonna get my son’s meds which he needs.… Having to wait a week because she’s trying to tell me we don’t have insurance but yet we were able to get one and not the other I literally think she made us wait on purpose oh and then four days later she says she figures it out!!!!!
The receptionist is horrible at her job. They need to fire her she makes patients feel worse than what they already are dealing with mental issues. She is very unprofessional, and seems to only slack of on her phone.… Before I went in I called several times and no one answered until I called over 20 times she finally answered. She is the problem in this establishment and needs to be replaced asap
this has to be the WORST clinic for therapy sessions, they don’t care about people going through stuff. i applied for therapy sessions due to my mental health on august 22nd 2025, everything as going well until on… september 12 i went in there to check and see if i have any upcoming scheduled appointments and they said they’ll call me when i do. i haven’t heard from them in the first 2 weeks so i tried to call them and no answer. i left them a voicemail with my phone number to call me back and i haven’t gotten a call back. it’s about to be november and still haven’t heard back from them DO NOT GO IN THERE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS
Not to happy with this location, I guess you literally have to tell them that you are going to harm yourself just to get the help if even at that!! I came out of this office feeling worse then when I walked in
I called over and over day after day and they refused to refill my medicine worst service ever.
This clinic was never my favorite but got the job done until today. Called to make a follow up appt. Been calling for 2 weeks, finally someone named Macy answered. I'm told I pretty much have to start all over with an… evaluation because I haven't seen a doctor in a year!!! I was told that I I no called no showed my last visit. Despite the facts my records show I was there for my last visit, a a prescriber gave me 5 months of refills, that didn't matter. Horrible record keeping. On top of that I was talked down to like I was a child. Now that I am reading everyone else's comments, I am completely shocked I didn't have an issue with this clinic sooner. I will be filing a complaint with the state of TX for a HIPAA violation for obvious errors in my medical records and possibly the denial to allow me access to my own records. I have not received ANY paperwork from this clinic despite my numerous in office requests for copies.
They’ve been helping me for a few years now. I can’t afford help like many people. If it weren’t for them I may not be here today. I had been going years without the proper diagnosis and thought I was going insane.… Turns out I didn’t have severe chronic depression. I just have bipolar 2 disorder. After they changed my meds and have kept up with me I can say I haven’t gone into a manic episode in three years! So freeing. I can’t thank them enough 🥹
Every single complaint about the receptionist is 100% valid. I’ve been coming here since 2020 and every single time without fail she manages to find some way to catch an attitude. On top of that, I’ve been calling every… day this week to try and reschedule an appointment and I have never gotten an answer or a call back. I’ve had to call off work to go in person to reschedule. With this many complaints I honestly don’t know why she’s still working there.
If I could give this place a negative I would... the receptionists has a terrible attitude... I've been calling for three days they never return your calls. Finally got through the receptionists response was well if you… can't make it. IE they only wanted to schedule my appointment on the day I Start my new job.. then two months out. She only responded with attitude. Said if I need help. Medication etc. To go to the er. What's the point of getting help. If they don't want to help. Then proceeds to mention insurance knowing I don't have insurance or I wouldn't be asking for help from this place. In the first place. She is very argumentative not helpful at all. I had explained I was depressed to the point im barely functional and haveing suicidal thoughts everyday and can't hardly get out of bed. I guess one dose of prosac from the er is her solution.
Im not sure if I caught her on a bad day but the front desk lady was very rude and condescending. The rest of the staff were nice and professional.
This office me and my son go to and been having issues I been with them for 9 years and my son 7 years and still as of today their staff can’t do there job and not on the ball with getting medication for their patients… but if it wasn’t hard to find someone else that accepts our insurance I wouldn’t be going here and their staff like to blame us for appointments that were booked that we were never aware of!!!
The receptionist was so rude. I was trying to look for help as my mom passed away a month ago and she flat out hung up on me. This person should not be working with people. I am upset.
I love this place. They are helpful and the staff is always nice
Honestly zero respect for the clients, constantly rescheduling and seems to me doctors can’t even see you and it takes 5 weeks just to see them,it’s hard to get a hold of someone to refill your medication they make the… excuse that they have to go through someone which takes long as well. I’ve been experiencing in my counseling the reverse psychology on me, it makes me feel uncomfortable, I’m trying to open up but he turns it on me, it’s really hard for someone to open up if they do this to clients.. I’ve been staying quiet myself not really opening up because of it, feels like what I call the past blame game
I tried to become a patient but the receptionist seemed a bit too busy to be bothered.
There are lots of mentions about the receptionist and with two different family members’ experiences, i agree fully. I can truly say the woman should not be working in a place where people need behavioral help. She… triggers so much anxiety, worry, and anger because of her demeanor.
Receptionist is the worst person in office administration that we have ever come across. You will not get answers or help deciphering what the next steps are. Her answer is always “no, I can’t do that”
They do not support men's mental health nor acknowledge it during MMH Month. This is absolutely disappointing and depressing. Do better. Stop pretending.
Had an appointment at 2:30pm and found out they moved it to 8:30am without me knowing. Missing my appointment and having to rearrange my entire day to get a new appointment. Hopefully they don't move it again.... VERY… DISSAPOINTED
Thankful for the help I received from this place. Staff is stretched thin, so be patient. Speak your truth, they listen. Ptsd counseling improved my outlook on life, family, friends, & allowed my walls to drop. It was… never a push to open up. My first few visit I didn't really talk. They related to me, that helped. Mental health is hard, this place left me feeling like I was not alone. Thank you.
Love it here
Well, I guess all of those negative reviews had a positive result. I just started here, and so far the receptionist has been super patient, kind , and helpful. I've never been made to feel so welcome before. I hope she… gets to read this review. Also, the people who evaluated me have been wonderful too! Let' hope the treatment will be good too. So far, I just want to say thanks!
Hate to leave this review because I've been attending here since 2018, but as of lately this place has been horrible. If you actually want to receive help in an appropriate, timely manner, go literally anywhere else.… Dr. Wilson is great, but everything else about this place sucks. In January, I had a series of severe panic attacks and tried to reach a therapist after my previous one here left (did not even find out until the day of an appointment with her). I was called and evaluated before being told I would get a call back when I was able to see one. That did not happen and I had to find one elsewhere. The most recent instance is this month. I have been calling nonstop since last week to refill one of my controlled medications. I have not gotten through to a nurse once, either the extension would not work or nobody would pick up. Maybe they are just extremely busy, but this is really saddening. If you are in need of help and cannot wait on constant delays - don't try this place. The receptionist is also very rude, every single phone call with her has been very unpleasant and difficult.
I agree with the other two reviews. The only positive has been their knowledge about requiring ASL interpreters fo my deaf family member with chronic mental health concerns. I hate their system. My family member has to… go in every 3 months for a 30 second appointment in order to get refills for medication she has been on successfully for almost 20 years. She was required to go in person during COVID when everyone else got to have their appointments over the phone. Heck if her appointment was over the phone using VRS they wouldn't have had to pay for an ASL interpreter! As soon as we can find a PCP who will continue her Rx we will stop using Hill Country MHDD. We've never had an issue like this in any other state we have lived it. We have been paying out of pocket for her therapy with her counselor from Colorado for the past three years just so we don't have to deal with their system here for that! The front office lady is very rude and has sent my family member into a near crisis state more than once. The lady on the other side usually takes over but I think she is the DD side not the MH side - her we like.
