Illinois recovery center is a great place to recover, it is full of really great people that truly care.
I had a very positive experience at Illinois Recovery Center. The staff was caring, supportive, and professional throughout the process. I truly appreciated the welcoming environment and the genuine effort they made to… help. I would definitely recommend Illinois Recovery Center to anyone looking for compassionate and supportive care!
Outstanding!!!!!!
This place is amazing Eric and staff gave me multiple chances to get my recovery right and a second chance at life . When I needed them the most they were there with a welcoming open hand .. I would highly recommend… this recovery facility if YOU want to find YOURSELF again. Today I am no longer using or drinking and I am not homeless and I'm recovering everything I have lossed my past is past and my future is bright.. thank you IRC family not to mention the alumni events are great we all have fun and stay a community helping one another on our journey to success
A lot of rehabs have five stars, and are awful. But this rehab is excellent. It does not engage in “bait and switch.” Have you ever been lied to about a rehab by admissions, and show up, and it is completely different?… Not this one. It was refreshing and saved my life. I have ME/CFS and am mostly bedbound which limits my participation in groups. Other rehabs I have been to, they say “groups are 9-5, no exceptions.” But Jacob, Eric, Jeff, and Zach made accommodations for my illnesses. It was the kindest thing anyone has ever done for me. There is intense pressure in rehabs on clients to attend every group. And of course, it is important to do your best. But for people with chronic illness, that expectation can be incredibly damaging. These people understood that. The reason I marked off a star is because of the nurse practitioner. I was left to suffer in pain. She would not even perscribe gabapentin for my severe nerve pain because it is addictive. Yes, addicts in general should avoid medications that can be potentially addictive. But for people with health issues, it is not so black and white. For her, it was. She also expressed distaste for my being on Xywav, a prescription treatment for narcolepsy, because of its potentially addictive nature. This is unprofessional in ways I cannot express enough. Sure, my neurologist who has studied my illness for decades knows nothing at all, and I am an addict, so any treatment that can be abused should be taken away from me. Maybe I should avoid ketamine treatment too, even though it saved my life from depression. (Sarcasm.) She also was incredibly dismissive of my diagnoses. Everything was about addiction to her. I urge the people in charge to 1. Hire a new NP, or 2. Demand education in chronic illness. Many addicts are chronically ill.. Shoutout to Betsy though, who was very patient even though I treated her very badly at one point. Thank you to the staff for being patient with me and allowing me a second chance after I freaked out and acted very poorly. The nurses were absolutely excellent- by far the BEST nurses I have EVER seen at a rehab. I have been to 4 other rehabs. They blew the other nurses out of the WATER. IRC knew what they were doing when hiring them. Much thanks to them. Overall this place is absolutely excellent and bent over backward for me, although I did have to leave early as my ME/CFS was more severe than I though and I was unable to attend even 1-2 groups a day. Do not go to another rehab. This one is infinitely better. Amazing in a way that shocked me, and I am very critical of rehabs in general. Edit: I knocked something off. It was a different complaint but ultimately I don’t think it would’ve happened. Anyways I mean it I could cry talking about this place. Truly amazing and Jacob, Jeff, Zach, and Eric are some of the KINDEST people I have ever met in my entire life. Most people dismiss ME/CFS but they REALLY PUT TIME INTO LEARNING ABOUT IT. THIS WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING. And Jeff taught me SO MUCH about BPD which I never knew about. This place saved my freaking life and allowed me a second chance when I acted out poorly. I am changing my review from four to five stars because even though the NP isn’t great they deserve five stars. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🩷🩷🩷🩷 THANK YOU IRC YOU SAVED MY LIFE. THIS REHAB WAS SENT BY THE ANGELS AND I WANT TO ADD THAT LAURIE IS THE MOST INCREDIBLE WOMAN I HAVE EVER MET. THIS WOMAN IS THE NICEST PERSON IN THE WORLD. Please tell Laurie that she is amazing and was made for the role of helping people, she made me feel so so so seen Thank you irc for treating me like a person and not just another number I truly believe this rehab offers an incredible chance of success And the techs are so kind. There was not a single tech that I had a bad experience with IRC, once I am better and no longer bedbound, I would love to come back for 30 days to engage in treatment further. If you guys will have me. I’m truly cannot believe how wonderful this place was.
My experience with IRC was magnificent! I came to a cross roads and that was my last stop in getting the help and education I needed to get clean and sober. My Higher Power put the people in my life to direct me to IRC.… I was a very sick person spiritually, physically and mentally and no longer could find a purpose in my life but that has all changed thanks to the techs, nurses, counselors and the wonderful people who started IRC. I now go to IOP and come to some alumni meetings. I'll be coming back to participate in some of the meetings in the center. I pray all who attend this great place get as much out of it as I did to start my new life. I even loved the food. Bonnie Lapidus
I had a really good experience at Illinois Recovery Center in Swansea. The staff was caring, supportive, and professional from start to finish. I’m grateful from the help I received and would highly recommend the center… to others and veterans.
After being a patient here this place is the real deal if you’re willing and wanting to see the true recovery experience with open arms this is the place Saved my life
I got discharged early for voicing a complaint I had with staff members. They left me stranded, penniless, in a town I've never been to before. EDIT: They also stole my MyPillow, and refuse to give it back. I may have… to pursue legal action, as I am constitutionally entitled to take any person or entity to court over disputes valued at $20 or more. Do not go here! They steal your shit, and kick you to the curb if you complain about anything!!!
This place is amazing! All of the staff are so genuine and really care. IRC has given me an amazing opportunity that I will forever be grateful for.
My experience here was not what I expected out of a treatment facility. The staff are amazing, the facility is well managed and well kept. I am grateful for my time here and this place will always feel like a second… home to me.
I had a great experience here, this was my 5th place I’ve been and they actually make you feel loved and they care about our recovery. Send yourself or loved one here over sana lake or other local ones. IRC is an… amazing place to recover.
I was a client there recently. The staff is absolutely amazing as well as the food.we had. 3 meals a day and everything was throughout the whole campus was very well kept! Highly recommend if you or someone you know is… struggling
Awesome staff and facility.
Unbelievable staff and great community. Taught me that coping skills to deal with life and forever grateful for this place. I highly recommend Illinois recovery center!
i needed help so bad, and i finally found Illinois recovery center. i am so blessed to of had gone here at IRC. it changed my whole life around. i never ever thought i would be sober in my life again, and here i am,… sober for 3 month and many more to go. it is such an amazing clean place, with an amazing owner & staff that understand everything and where you are coming from. the support is AMAZING. please please please go to Illinois recovery center if you need help with your addiction. it saved my life and i KNOW it can save everyone else’s life.
The staff here are truly wonderful and genuinely care about their patients. They were very accommodating. The facility is very clean, comfortable (more than any), and welcoming. The food and snacks were amazing and… having TVs with streaming apps available (if you have your own login info) was nice. Aside from what I'm about to mention, I honestly can't say a bad word about this place. The reason I'm leaving this review is because I was told before I arrived that I wouldn't fall sick during treatment. Unfortunately, I became extremely ill. I had never left a treatment program early before, and I had successfully completed the previous programs I attended. Because I felt so sick, I made the difficult decision to leave on my third day. I fully understand that I signed the paperwork and agreed to the financial responsibility, so ultimately...it's on me, so I'm not disputing that. What was disappointing was being charged the full amount despite leaving so early because the treatment wasn't what I had been led to expect. Even some consideration or a partial adjustment would have shown compassion for someone already struggling with addiction. I'm no longer angry. I'm simply disappointed. If not for this experience, I would have considered this an excellent treatment center. The staff and facility deserve a great deal of praise, but the billing experience left a lasting negative impression.
Do you guys have open arms for couples that wanna get clean together? And do you guys take Medicaid and private insurance
If your looking to get sober , If your looking for a new start, if your looking for a new family, if your looking for a better community then this is the place to be. From detox to residential to IOP is all truly a… blessing, completely change my perspective on life as I was looking for a change. Thank you IRC I will forever will be grateful.
This is probably gonna be a very long post. I’m one year sober today!!!!! This past year has been very hard. I’ve had deaths, I’ve had to put people I love on hospice, and my mother got lung cancer. My husband has even… been on deployment for the past six months. I’ve had everything pop up negative in my family yet I’m still not drinking. The only reason I am not drinking is because of the tools I received at IRC! The staff was absolutely amazing. The other patients helped me just as much! I hope many more years of sobriety for everyone especially me! But I want to say thank you to IRC, the staff and the patients that I was there with because I could not have dealt with this past year without all of you! Thank you! I don’t remember any of the slogans, but I will say this if you believe it, you can do it. Just ask anyone at anyone at IRC. Thank you!!!
Straight from the hand of God. I was laid up in the hospital. No plans to get sober. No hope of a good life. Down and out. An IRC employee came to visit in me. I was offered a scholarship. I just said yes. I habe never… felt such intentional love, attention, and tolerance. I know this was a miracle event in my life. I felt at home in a place far from home. I met with counselors, nurses, peer support specialists and life coaches. We had meetings and we recovered. Together. I will forever cherish my experience at IRC.
My experience with Illinois Recovery Center has been quite a warm, adventurous, and ground breaking experience. My personal experience was-in my mind- going to be difficult. On contrary, the nursing staff stayed on top… of the intense medical situation I experienced there. They handled everything with professionalism and expertise. The IOP program is like no other, the counsolers in the intensive outpatient program are absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable about what they do. The success stories here are beautiful and they are only expanding the ability to help others! Plus they feed you good!
Illinois recovery center. Was an absolutely amazing experience!!! The staff and clients were great! I would highly recommended to anyone seeking treatment.
This place was very kind to my son. He traveled a long way to get there but then didn’t have the courage to go in. Staff at this facility went out to look for him and someone stayed with him all night through that first… day of detox. If they had not cared enough, they would have let him walk away. He stayed the entire month. Thank you for your kindness.
IRC was such a great experience for me! The staff is genuinely amazing and always supportive of each person. As a young individual, I was terrified coming in but the community shares so much love, comfortability, and… allows everyone to build a new family. Big thank you to everyone at IRC!!!
I was welcomed in with open arms in a minute I walked in the door I've never felt so accepted love and respected anywhere my life I've gone through recovery before 6 more times man and this one is for real it's the… first time I reached out and got the help that I really needed these guys are amazing they know how to get you there if you're willing to open your mind be honest be transparent and they'll get you where you want to go God first steps everything these guys practice around here man really does work I feel like I'm me for the first time in my entire life and I'm okay for the first time in a very very long time thank you irc
This place helped me save my life! The detox, residential, & Intensive Outpatient are very good. I've been to many rehabs and this by far is the very best one, hands down!!! #NTMF
IRC stands out because of its caring staff and strong sense of community. The center creates a respectful and encouraging space that supports meaningful recovery. So grateful for this place!
