About Emplify Health – La Crosse

Emplify Health operates from 1910 South Avenue in La Crosse, close enough to La Crescent and French Island to serve both. Anyone within about 6 miles can reach it without a major journey, which takes in La Crescent, French Island, Hokah and Brownsville. La Crosse sits in La Crosse County, and the county’s own provision is limited enough that this site draws from a wide area.

Emplify Health provides intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Medication-assisted treatment pairs buprenorphine, methadone or naltrexone with counseling. The facility treats addiction and mental health together. Sessions can be held remotely where travel is difficult. The facility works with veterans and military families. SAMHSA holds the federal registration; the Wisconsin Department of Health Services the state license.

Emplify Health – La Crosse Detox and Rehab Services

Care at Emplify Health – La Crosse spans intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. What suits one person will not suit another, so ask directly. It is reasonable to ask how progress is reviewed and by whom.

Co-occurring mental health conditions are addressed alongside substance use, which is the approach the evidence supports. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. Ask what the assessment recommends before comparing anything else. Waiting times vary, so it is worth asking at the first call.

After my motorcycle accident and breaking my shoulder and 7 ribs, was transported to Gundersen for 5 days. The care teams and nursing staff were exceptional. Dr Fairfax and Wentz were clear about what I can expect in… terms of pain and came up with a plan for incremental improvement. The astonishing moment was working with about a dozen nurses during my stay. I wish I could remember all their names, but they were all super supportive and helpful with all my needs through out the week. (Liz, Emma, Shannon, Naomi, Paige, Lexie, Matt, Sophie are just a few and deserve major kudos!!).

Emplify health...Empty your pockets. Serious problems in the world of Healthcare financing all of which fall on the average citizens. Squeezing every penny without 1 ounce of empathy.

I have a friend in ICU (INTENSIVE CARE UNIT) just incase Gunderson does not know what it stands for. Most of the family lives hours away NOT ALLOWED TO STAY PAST 9PM NOT ALLOWED TO STAY with their mother . Now if… something was to horribly change and the worst happens THEY WOULD most likely miss the chance to say GOOD BYE MOM!!! The family asked if hospital could help in hotel stay LMAO they were told 10% WHAT!!! UW in Madison PAYS THE FULL PRICE for families who can't afford a hotel. I would NOT TAKE MY DOG TO THIS PLACE PS regarding her records just like another review said they change records, they say 1 thing do another, and records are edited (you can't see edits) I DON'T TRUST them if they said it was white I would have to check cuz they are SNEEKY LIARS

Sorry I can't remember there names but I… want to give them one great big hug and say thank you all your smiles and positive attitudes made my stay an extremely blessed one. Thank you all for caring about your patients and your jobs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

I have no words to express what I feel. They helped my family in every way, they saved my wife's life. Everyone was so kind and gave us the best care we've ever received. Without a doubt, they are the best. God bless… them and may they continue their great work.

The care provided by this health system has been terrible. If they can’t put you in the narrow minded box for solutions.. you’re dismissed and pushed around. Some things I’ve been told by nurses or doctors. “Emplify is… cheap and doesn’t buy necessarily things we could use.” “ take some CBD or something. Some people can just jump out of bed but some can’t.” “ I’d like to look into things more but there isn’t time.” I’ve been dealing with a not a black white issue. Living in pain daily with little to no help or guidance. Just pushed around with no answers and no one seeming to talk to one another. Weeks for responses or weeks to even get a follow up appointment scheduled. The GI department here is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever been through. Had colonoscopy and endoscopy.. felt pushed out the door when I woke up.. even my wife was questioning why they kept coming in to get us to leave. Literally just woke up from it all. They are quick to not help find root causes but chase symptoms. MiraLAX is there and we for everything. I find little empathy with this hospital and situation. I’ve called the patient experience line twice. Talked to managers who say they will help and make it better.. when it’s not been. Just words with no actions. Unfortunately with costs and the crap American healthcare system we have.. I see why patients just give up and people deteriorate.. because the health care they get is some of the worst for a developed country. Private practices are great but expensive. This cycle I’m living in and others have to.. I feel for you. Maybe one day this hospital will see themselves has a caring healthcare provider and not a business that has robots working within a box they can’t get out of.

Oral surgery department is scheduling 2 years out. They don't leave room for emergencies in the schedule. And 3 times I talked on the phone, they lack compassion, and would not let me explain my chronic illness. They… simply talked over me. Empathy, compassion and patience could go a long way.

My husband had a Colonoscopy today and waited two hours to get his procedure when his appointment was at 8 am we got in after 10. The provider never followed up with us even after waiting for 2 hours to be seen. A… person who did not perform the colonoscopy reported the results in a very poor manner. it is all about going on to the next person to bring the dollars. Emplify health is purely a marketing term and not something they really care about. My husband was a tad tipsy after the anesthesia and never offer to wheel him out of the unit, but wheeled my husband out myself. I fail to see the Empathy The physician who performed the procedure seemed very nice but she failed to come across in a positive manner by not following up. For all you pay for Healthcare, I expect that

I was scheduled for a procedure yesterday . I had to be there there at 10:00, which i was, got checked in, prepared for surgery and waited and waited, and waited. I understand surgeries can go longer than anticipated,… there can be complications and I'm not faulting the surgeon nor the staff. At 3 or 3:30 my driver had to leave, but I was not allowed to go with my driver. I was told I couldn't leave and still had the IV in me. Finally about 5pm or between 5 and 5:30, I was allowed to leave. I had no driver. I called some friends and finally found a friend who was able to come and get me between 6 and 6 - 630 pm. I had been offered a sandwich and ice water which I ate. I had been offered a cab drive home. There was one nurse, who occasionally came to my room saying, " you can't stay." I understand circumstances arise and I kept praying for all the patients undergoing any surgery. I'm not mad at anyone, but the health system has to improve!!!! NOW!!!

In March of this year, I experienced a significant medical event during a procedure and subsequently discovered multiple discrepancies between what I was told, what I experienced, and what was documented in my medical… record. After raising my concerns, I received conflicting explanations from different members of the care team, and certain events I experienced were either absent from the record or described differently than I recalled them. I reported these concerns through the facility’s patient relations process; however, the response I received did not directly address the specific discrepancies I identified and instead provided general explanations without resolving the inconsistencies. As a result, I continue to have concerns regarding communication, documentation accuracy, informed consent, and the handling of my complaint. If you must seek care here, I recommend proceeding with caution and watch your records. You have patient rights for a reason.

My wife broke her hip. Crossing Rivers in prairie du chien was excellent. Prognosis identified after xray within the hour. Even though our primary Dr. Is gunderson, and gunderson is my primary network, we still have no… clean room assignment 7 hours later! Shame on your lack of empathy, quality, focus on patient. If you care about prompt care, please do not waste your time trying to get help here.

Such a huge shout out to Dr. Meinkong-Morgan in Urgent Care who was so unbelievably kind when I couldn't get into my dr. If I could give them zero I would. I'm an abandoned chronic pain patient and my new doctor won't even talk me about my chronic pain. She wants schedule mammogram, lab ect when I was in ER 2 times last weekend seeing her… follow up apt on my back pain she won't even give me Tylenol or ibuprofen. Gunderson don't care about it's patient's. You'll have more luck shopping at dollar store. And when you are seen it's all interns. Indoctrinated employees for big pharma will give you gabapentin pregablin and SSRIs for severe pain. Don't go here. Shame on Dr. Molly Sugulla....

This 5 star 🌟 goes out to Dr. Tore in the neurology department. My sister had a stroke in October and to find out she had an aneurysm in her head. They watched it closely and scheduled a surgery which she had yesterday.… I have to say Dr. Tore is the most warm and caring and patient Dr who seems to care deeply for his patients. Explains what happened in detail along with options and pictures of The aneurysm making us feel more comfortable when the decision we had to make. So with that, if you need a neurologist, I would recommend strongly Dr. Tore 😊 A big thank you goes out to you!

I have had more than 10 admissions to Gundersen Healthcare in the last 5 years related to cancer surgery, chemotherapy, and complications from Chemotherapy During every visit , O felt I was in good hands by warm, caring… and well trained and highly competent doctors, staff, and even Housekeepers and volunteers were pleasant and interactive, happy to answer questions or find someone to answer questions they could not. After working and spending significant time at several large healthcare institutions around the state, I will always recommend Gundersen Health above all others. Definitely 5 stars for physicians, staff and facilities.
