Nystrom and Associates Ltd – Hudson

I have been a patient for over 5 years and since they changed their name and merged this company has gone downhill. I have talked to every department and was just told they LOST MY RECORDS. They dont even know who my… prescribing doctor is! From billing, scheduling, and nursing department the organization is rediculous and incompetent. What a dumpster fire! Edit (i went to the clinic it was locked, i assume they shut down the location. Without notifying the patients.) My doctor gave me plenty of script to find another provider. If you need any mediction support i do not recommend sagent health. The LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY and circus of tele operators is unacceptable. My doctor was amazing that is why I am so upset about all this. I will be going elsewhere.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I started seeing a therapist. I started out private pay $200 per visit. I asked the admin about using insurance. They said to try. Not mentioning that they are NOT in my network, first problem.… Next thing I know I am being charged $400 per visit. My insurance has no negotiated rates with this company. Due to processing times, it took 3 visits to realize the problem. I went back to ask for the private rate for the 3 visits. They said they can’t do that because my insurance requires the $400 rate be charged. Something about deductibles. Total lack of transparency. I contacted my insurance company and they say this is completely false. Bottomline, this is a large company, the front desk people do not have a clue about rates and charges and I'm sure my now ex therapist is also clueless what's going on in the "business office” as well. This is not a bad review for the therapist but whom they work for. It has cost me a ton of money. They provide mental health and this is how they treat people. Good thing I am kinda stable.

These people really do want to help you and they are gentle and kind. Excited to get to feeling better.

What's the point of having a company like sharecare if they don't provide medical records to their customers. I've been waiting 3 weeks for my records, THAT YOU HAVE AND WON'T GIVE TO ME! literally even had to… reschedule a court date because of the incompetence.

My first scheduled visit i waited 4 weeks, it was canceled the day prior. Waited another 3 weeks for that reschedule. My husband also experienced cancelations, together we had 5 cancelations, 1 of them 4 hours prior to… his appointment. So very frustrating just trying to get consistent care. The contract for fees is very misleading, upon receiving my bill I noticed several of my sessions went 1 to 2 minutes beyond the 45 min mark and was charged an extra $147.00 on top of the session fee. This happened several times, one session I was over by 1 minute. This was not discussed in the contract nor by the therapist who let it run over the time by a few minutes. Speaking to the billing department they stated it was coded in the contract. When a customer is suffering and trying to seek help, nystrom was very vague about that policy charge. Billing representative was so scriptive in her explanation about the bill that was doubled and kept speaking over me, the conversation went nowhere. I asked to speak with billing manager who called back and basicly gave me the same coversation which was not solving or addressing the phenomenal over charges. I was respectful of the manager Grace, when I challenged her about their deceptive billing charges she started crying. Basically I was dismissed, unheard by just trying to get a resolution. Please save yourself the complete frustration with trying to deal with scheduling and getting exorbitant charges.

I would highly recommend Nystrom and associates I Meet with Valorie and she is wonderful and she made me very comfortable Speaking with her and that very important. it’s been years since I have gone to someone.

I am so livid right now with this place it took me five months to get my husband to agree to do therapy and they call him on the day of his appointment to tell him he will either have to pay in full or cancel his… appointment because one of their receptionist messed up and put him with someone who couldn’t take his insurance. I wouldn’t waist your time coming here especially if you have Medicaid and Medicare, what an absolute joke and waste of gas and time. Thanks for causing my husband distress and make him not want to get the desperate help that he needed!

I am super impressed at how easy it was to see a provider. Psychiatrist and counsellor. I think it was only 1week for both. I like both of the providers and will continue seeing them both.

I wrote another review for a different counselor through Nystrom's Madison office for my daughter, which was a completely different, negative experience than for this location which has been very positive. We both were… doing telehealth through Nystrom, but through different offices. I have been seeing my counselor Cindy through this office a long time now, and I had been with for just about a month when everything happened with my daughter. Cindy has been a tremendous gift and support over this time. She has been helpful, resourceful, encouraging, and helped me to put steps in place to take great strides during over these last months. I am not sure if there is a different way of doing things with the Madison office, but my experience with this office and Cindy have been incredible and life-changing. Cindy has set the time for me to be able to be a regular client, and gives me very advanced notice when she is not available at the date and time we have set. She is reliable, positive, and friendly, as well as honest and truthful, and gives suggestions in a different perspective. I have been very grateful for her even when we were having trouble with my daughter's experience through the Madison office. I would recommend this Hudson office.

I do telehealth visits with Grace Franey. So far, I've only had 3 sessions, but Grace is really terrific. She's the only therapist in the past few years that I've had that is working for me. Already, she has given me… great suggestions on how to cope with my mental health conditions. Her demeaner is also kind, respectful, helpful, and unbiased. She's also always right on time. I like our treatment plan as well. She's very thorough with her work which is super helpful. I look forward to having more video visits with her.

Very friendly employees, easy to make appointments and communication thru the portal is easy and fast. I really like both my therapist and med Dr here.

Feel genuinely cared for by the staff and provider.

We have really struggled getting our teen daughter in to be seen with a counselor and after waiting (nowhere nearly as long as other places) got her in to be seen. Things seemed to be going well until they sent us the… first bill. They are charging us around $400 or more per hour for each visit. WARNING: I would really hesitate to go here unless you have tons of money or have the best insurance possible and ensure that your insurance will cover this price gouging. Most other places we have called charge less than half of what they do. I wanted to add a bit more to this review a few months after what I wrote before. Things haven’t really improved from the billing and customer service side. My daughter likes her counselor but the rest has been awful. Whenever you have an issue you want to try to inquire about or when you need to try to reschedule an appointment, be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes or up to about an hour to talk to anyone. They will find ways to charge you extra. For example, on a snow day when school was cancelled and all activities were cancelled because of how bad it was. My wife tried to call and reschedule but given the wait time being excessive, she couldn’t wait on hold any longer. They are now charging us over $100 for a missed appointment. It doesn’t seem to matter if you leave a message either to try to reschedule because you can’t wait any longer or if you leave a message so they can call you back about an issue- they won’t call you back. Overall my daughter likes her counselor but this group is absolutely awful to work with otherwise. As soon as we can get an opening at a waitlisted other place, we will be looking elsewhere

I have found that the nurses, office assistant, and PA are all very helpful and kind. They have a sense of humor, which I like. They are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure I have medication. They listen to me… and what I have to say.

They are amazing. Got in that week.
