It was 18 years ago, my first and last time at treatment. 💯 changed my life. 2% chance if your forced or dont wanna be there, 20% chance if its court ordered and 75% if your sick of being sick. Listen, be humble and… pray! God bless and Thanks CR.
This is an excellent treatment center. It's out in the country with a ton of wildlife, and a farm next door with emus, ostriches, horses and a zebra(that i didnt see but it was really cold). There are 4 different… buildings so you get outside a lot. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They will help you with anything. From legal issues to Healthcare to filling out assistance forms and sending them in. They will bring you to offsite appointments and court dates. (You won't miss important things like a reviewer said) The food is decent, you will gain weight if you eat all the meals and finish them. While I was there we had an awesome community of people that were willing to help any way they could. There was no judgment if you opened up. The counselors are awesome and teach productive groups. Other people in the program said it was the best treatment center they have ever been to. The negative reviews are from family or partners that don't understand the person that went here didn't care about getting sober. Were just there for 3 meals and a warm bed. I watched this firsthand. They have lockers and locking wall closets so it's your fault if something gets stolen. People steal no matter where they are so it's nieve to think it would change just because your in treatment. That's just a part of life sadly. I didn't see or hear that while I was there though. Cedar Ridge gave me a very solid foundation for recovery and staying sober. Got me into an aftercare program where I wanted as well. Highly recommend to anyone who needs help getting sober and learning to staying sober. THANK YOU CEDAR RIDGE STAFF! THANK YOU EMILY!
I had stuff stolen under staff watch and not happy with the outcome of it at all!!! Not even "heres a few bucks towards youre stolen stuff". Staff was not professionally mannered towards this. Look for a different… facility by all means.
Great facilities and faculty! I highly recommend this place to help start your new path in life and recovery. They kept telling me a zebra was a neighbor, but I never saw one.
I was there in 2024 and there was one kid there with a poop fetish and after he got done popping he would smear it all over the bathroom walls and my counselor said if I didn't go to outpatient after this I would still… drink after this program and Curtis is by far the best person there and he's the one that made me stop drinking and I've been 16 months sober
My 2 sons went to Cedar Ridge 2 years ago. Son 1: the staff said they "threw away" 2 medications he was on - 1 was a controlled substance. oh, yes - we will order those right away for you. after 3 days, my son called an… ambulance to take him to the hospital because he was extremely sick because he didn't have his meds. Son #2 : kept complaining to the nurse that he felt extremely fatigued, he had chest pain and he showed her his lower legs which were swollen with fluid. I could poke my finger into his leg and it showed an indent. 2 weeks after he left Cedar Ridge, he was dead from heart failure. He had classic signs of heart failure while at Cedar Ridge and they told him it was nothing. The autopsy shoed an extremely enlarged heart. Oh, and the female staff kept flirting with him. This place should not be open
The nurse at this place saved my life many years ago. And from what I remember it was a really good place.
Good program. Nice facility and the food is to go back for! Lol
CEDAR RIDGE is an essential reason in my return to recovery. Staff; welcoming, skilled, and confident; crucially needed in spite of the COVID pandemic during my brief time there. Unfortunately afflicted with an onset of… sudden mental health symptoms, unidentified at the time; they're compassion for humanitiy, spiritual development, and supportive guidance in all areas of human bankruptcy was simply, uncompromising. Thank you for your help. Brad Nelson
if it wasn't for this program and the staff I wouldn't have made it this far in my life and my sobriety. thank you
These people are the only ones to ever support me in sobriety and be there for me in my entire life. If the concrete jungle had support everywhere like you guys give this country would be a way better place.
I had a terrible experience at ceder ridge where do I start for one they made me miss court 3 times witch lead to me getting 3 warrants. They continued to promise to call the courts and make it right and they never did… my po asked for discharge summery never came thetreatment director jen is highly incompetent and a lier. Other and that's not it lol staff took my Samsung smart watch worth 400 and what do you know they can't find my watch that was in staffs position promised to pay for it and have been ignoring my calls and messages for weeks now
If you’re in need of a hard reset to get sober, this place is as good as any. You have to want it, though. Bring only what you need and what you can fit in a locker as far as snacks go and valuables. Ask for a locker… and a lock immediately as both dorms have lockers. Get a deck of cards, get to the tv rooms early during free time, and make sure you eat your meals to keep your strength up. Be honest in regards to how you feel so you can get on the right meds. Take your meds consistently.
They will not address any medical concern's here and have refused to take me to a hospital, staff and counselor's are rude disrespectful and just lazy they do not give out meds on time and will not answer questions… about treatment I will be contacting lawyer's for not having adequate medical care which has caused me a lifetime of serious complications
I’ve been to 3 different treatments and 2 halfway houses. I’ve been to jail 9 times. This was the WORST treatment I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to Douglas Place which has a terrible reputation. Not only did this… place have rude staff but my councilor was a rude b****. When I graduated she even told me that I barely graduated this program and began chewing me out. This was on my graduation day mind you… nothing stood out to me about Cedar Ridge and I used right after I left because of the negative mindset that councilor left on me. I had a better time in Jail playing cards all day with some good people. Screw this place. I hope since 2019 they have gotten better but I wouldn’t bank on it…
Do not consider this facility for you or your loved ones. This facility should be shut down. Local on site management is extraordinarily incompetent. They have had a recent death of a patient due to complete… incompetence and disregard for the well being of patients.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS FACILITY!! THE STAFF IS RUDE & IGNORANT!!!! THEY PUT MY SON OUT IN THE COLD & REFUSED TO TALK TO ME AFTER I TOLD THEM I HAVE S RELEASE OF INFORMATION ON FILE! THIS FACILITY… NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN ASAP!
Was a great experience over all. The dorms were somewhat dated and the staff was amazing but overworked even the director was working doubles as support staff at night. Food was great. Thank you Luz! But like anyplace… Its all about your attitude and if you have a desperate desire to stay sober!
Worst place ever. Wish I could give it a negative 5. They don’t care for nobody. My dad had to leave due to how badly the environment is. Y’all need to be HONEST. That’s the first step, HONESTY. People were STEALING… from him and nobody did nothing. A staff member came out and didn’t even do nothing when I told her about it but just STOOD THERE when I asked her a question due to the problem to try to resolve it. This really disgusts me how they don’t resolve nothing, they’re lazy and just ignore the fact and the people that reach out for help. DO BETTER, OR GET SHUT DOWN.
I was a client here for 28 days, voluntarily. Staff is extremely helpful, both with legal issues and helping me apply for grad school. Food is phenomenal. Bedrooms are small but cozy, with large common areas. Overall… awesome place to clean up for a month! Highly recommend!
Needs more staff
Horrible place would not recommend this place for your loved ones.
Just wow. Never again
Very unprofessional intake system. A rule 25 is required for everybody even if no public funds are required. Literally hung up on me mid conversation. Extremely RUDE. Cant imagine any other part would be any more… compassionate or professional. Would give a 0 stars if possible.
Cedar ridge was the best treatment center I have ever been in. The nursing staff are there for the right reasons they genuinely care. The techs are very cool and down to earth. The counselors are very professional,… honest , and do not pass any judgement.
