Literally the best group of therapists! I saw 3 therapists here. One for EMDR, one for general therapy (postpartum, anxiety), and one for my wife and I for couples therapy. I have done therapy on and off for 20+ years… and I am absolutely astounded at how amazing all 3 therapists were at one place. They helped me work through so much from childhood til now and I truly couldn’t recommend them more! 10 stars!

If you are here for the prime for life just go do it somewhere else unless your trying to wait a week or 2 to even be able to squedule the class they say they will call you back they won't

No communication or care for patients. Got rid of their psychiatrists and instead of telling their current patients or allowing them time to find other solutions, they hung them out to dry. So many people rely on their… medications, and for a mental health facility to totally disregard their clients who pay hundreds and thousands of dollars is absolutely sickening. Rude staff that seem to always be in a rotating door. No provider stays longer than three months. Overall a morally corrupt practice.

I so appreciate my experience at Suncrest. Tom is wonderful and personable. I was hoping to get to spend more time with him. They were so on top of it and compassionate when I needed to move on for insurance reasons and… even emailed me a list of providers in the area. I have always enjoyed and appreciated my experience at Suncrest.

Do not recommend getting any form of a court order eval done here. They know you’re in a tight spot and they will exploit you for that. I’m not saying just a couple of sessions, I’m talking 15+ (oh and they more than… likely won’t accept insurance for it either so it’s all out of pocket) It’s not worth it. Such a headache for when you’re already in a tough situation. Extremely non helpful

Quick to take your money. Then they don't send paperwork to the court. They'll make you waste your time, can't recommend them. Wasted half a day at court. Still after a few months and more paperwork to send out, they… can't find it. Not recommended.

Mallory is amazing, she is on top of things and gives so many tools to help depression/anxiety/PTSD. She is truly an empathic and good person and therapist. She has helped me make so much progression. I would highly… recommend her. I’ve been going here for 3 years now and I’ve had a great experience

THIS IS NOT A SAFE SPACE If you are here for court ordered treatment, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. I was informed in court that my counselor told the judge I “wasn’t taking… responsibility for what I did and I was blaming everybody else” when all I told her was that I had 1 rough night and that I believe I am a good person that was put in a bad situation. Never been in trouble in my life, never been in a fight, never done drugs and don’t drink. I took the high road and got charged for a petty crime, but these people here took my vulnerable sessions and went and told the judge I was basically a piece of crap, which harshened my penalties. The whole time, Tenneal acted like she agreed with me and said I was very strong and had good morals to react the way I did in my specific situation. Then they go behind my back and tell the judge the complete opposite. If you guys are looking for a place for court ordered treatment, take your money elsewhere. You will just pay these guys to speak badly of you after you have spilled your heart to them. HUGE mistake coming here

I've been to this place for 8 months, never have I had such a rude person on the phone until now. Says she's been there for 4 years but isn't cooperative and trying to gouge money. Very nice people when I started but… this chick is a no go. Boooooooooo

My daughter was suffering with depression in February of this year. We were desperately trying to find her some help. Rod reached out to me and was able to get her to a therapist that she absolutely loves. (She had… tried several prior) Today my daughter posted on her Instagram how, in February, she was drafting her letter to leave the miserable mental state she was in. She was tired of fighting with herself every day trying to stay here. Here we are in October. She is doing SO good and she has for several months. It's all due to Suncrest Counseling, Rod and her amazing therapist, Laurie. She posted that because of their help and resources, she has happiness in her life and credit's them and people that love her with saving her life. I credit her for doing the work needed to get to where she is. She wants everyone to know that there is hope and happiness to be found. Thank you Rod and Laurie! My daughter is here because of you!

Only trying to get money from you. Not treat or help people. Very bad experience, would recommend any where else before here.

I was extremely skeptical and anxious about getting a counselor. But this facility proved to work very well for me. For the 4 months that I went there, it was all positive experiences. Front desk gals were very nice and… easy to talk to. My counselor, Ashley, was a huge support on my mental health. From helping me cope with anxiety to also being someone that will listen, work with me and give me positive feedback. I am amazed at how much I was able to change into a more positive person in the short time I went and be able to live my life with less stress and anxiety.

I wouldn't recommend getting a mental health evaluation done here. I payed for one but never received the results for unknown reasons. There is no refund so I really regret doing this.

Trey is awesome. She really helped me feel validated, and her sessions are really helpful. Also Ryan (neurofeedback) is just fantastic. I'm so grateful for his professionalism and the high quality care he provides.… Cannot recommend these guys enough, especially if you have suffered from a brain injury

My therapist recommended Suncrest’s day treatment program. Before I committed to anything, Rod (the owner) set aside time to give me an overview of the program and answer any questions I had. As I started the program,… he would check in on me each week and continued to check in periodically throughout the entire course of treatment. I could tell that he genuinely cared and wanted to make sure it was a good fit for me. The program is intense and a lot of hard work, but it was well worth it. I started with the PHP’s 20 hours a week, then transitioned down to the IOP at 9 hours a week. I did a few weeks of 3-5 hours and have now completed the program. The program offers a combination of individual and group therapy. I also did neurofeedback (which I found to be most helpful for my OCD symptoms) and craniosacral massage. Paisley and Aimee are both excellent neurofeedback technicians. They make sure you’re comfortable and were good advocates for changing the protocols I was on when they didn’t seem to be helping. As far as the massage goes, I was initially a bit skeptical about how beneficial it could really be, but it ended up being a tremendous help. I cannot say enough positive things about Lila. She is such a calming presence and really understands how trauma affects the body. Groups vary from psychoeducational to process to art therapy. I feel they were of good quality and offered a range of approaches so it didn’t feel repetitive. My favorite group facilitators were Brad Rentfro, Amelia, and Natalie (though everyone was great). I also saw some really incredible individual therapists (both fully licensed and interns—special shoutout to Mallory, Jimmy, and Valerie) who helped me work through my trauma and make real progress. Everyone truly cares about you and you have the option to change therapists as your needs change. My partner and I saw Jeanine for couples counseling for a while and she was also a great therapist. I want to give a shoutout to the day treatment coordinator, Naomi, who worked tirelessly to make sure I had a schedule that worked best for me. She listens to your wants and needs and deserves all the praise in the world. I also want to recognize the receptionists, who knew me by name and made me feel comfortable and welcome. Definitely the unsung heroes here. Overall, I give this place a 12/10 and would feel comfortable recommending it to anyone.

★☆☆☆☆
Lashay Valenzuela5 years ago

The receptionist are never on the same page, one day I can have my service through video call, the next day 30 mins before my appointment I’m told I have to come in person or I’d be charged cancellation fees. This has… happened multiple times, and Don’t get me started on the therapist. A therapist asking me to reschedule then she told the receptionist I needed to start meeting with another therapist and I had to be charged a fine. The ladies that teach the DV classes are always assuming everyone in the classes went to jail/ got arrested and it really peeves me off. Find a more professional, and organized office to deal with.

If I could rate them lower thatn zero I would. I went for an assessment, they agreed I was a low risk person during that interview suggesting low level treatment. Then before submitting the assessment recommendation to… the court that doubled the time requirements for the assessment and added extra one on one counseling sessions. If you are looking for a counseling business that has your best interest at heart - keep looking because this company will stab you n the back to make a buck.

I was encouraged to do Neurofeedback to help with the trauma and loss of ten friends and family members since August. My search for credentialed techs in SLC took a while but was well worth it. Paisley is hands down one… of the best mental healthcare workers I've had the pleasure of working with. As a mental healthcare practitioner myself, I can't remember the last time I worked with someone so conscientious and personable. She puts the patient first. My comfort and wellbeing is her first priority. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Paisley for all your hard work.

Beautiful place! They have amazing therapists that focus on the full aspect of mind, body, and spirit. Not just talk therapy! Im doing the 9 hours a week treatment and everytime I get something to focus on my well being… spiritually whatever it is for me, my subconscious mind and my conscious mind as well as craniosacral that integrates my body as well. Healing involves every aspect 🥰

Probably will not be returning. Went there for marriage counseling. The Counselor was clearly unable to be objective between the two of us. There was pretty much zero discussion of one side of our dispute. The Counselor… rushed to judgment, made erroneous conclusions, and was unwilling to accept discussion of her assumptions. In fact she was outright insulting. Hence, the session was a waste of not just time, but money. An inability to be objective, and to address both sides of a conflict, does not a good marriage counselor make.

I loved being at suncrest! I had an amazing team of therapists in the IOP program. Even though there were a lot of tough days and days they really pushed me it was all for the better and it did help a lot in the end.… I’m not done with therapy yet but they helped me get to where I am now and that is a big difference thing. Thank you all so much your all amazing!!
