About Council Bluffs Comprehensive Treatment – Council Bluffs

Council Bluffs Comprehensive Treatment operates from 1750 West Broadway in Council Bluffs. The site sits in Pottawattamie County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Carter Lake. Iowa draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Detox and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, an opioid treatment program, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at Council Bluffs Comprehensive Treatment

Withdrawal management covers alcohol and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Stepping down into continuing care happens with the same team, so there is no second intake to sit through. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and methadone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

Won't release my records for court. Sent 6 releases since November. Argue, fight, lie, ignore phone calls, gas light, placate, act ignorant. I asked to speak to the main office. The director won't give me the number so… I can speak to them. 3 years of therapy but only 2 sheets of paper for therapy summary. Dozens of irrelevant papers to pad the file. 2 denials so far solely based upon no therapy records. Judge gives extension. My rep sends release. They shred it. I have resorted to going in to the place to beg for my records where they repeatedly have to write down what I need and I received denial number 2 today over incomplete records. 60 days for CTC to turn over real therapy records from day 1 until day I ended therapy. I would like to speak to someone at main office. Director is blocking my requests. Sharing to Facebook etc.

If you need help getting sober definitely come in an see if it's what your looking for. This place has given me so much of my life back an I've managed to stay sober an now I don't have to worry about relapsing, with… hopes of one day being completely off meds. No judgement no shame leave that at the door an come speak with the clinical staff they will be more than happy to get you started today. I used to say I will tomorrow.... well not anymore I'm taking control of myself an my choices. You can too 1 day at a time. Thanks to all of the staff that make it possible for my life to be so much better. God bless this place.

I recently started my treatment 2 days ago, and I was so hesitant. I didn’t know what I was going to expect from them. I just had all these thoughts on what was going to happen! So when I got there, I met everyone in… the clinic and everyone that went there for help. I have never felt more comfortable!!! It was just the way they made me feel! No judgment no belittling. Absolute kindness and love is what you’re going to get when you go there! It’s amazing what patience and kindness can do for addicts like myself. There wasn’t one mean person in sight LOL. The staff will change your life!!! I now know this is going to be a beautiful journey! Thank you guys so much! Xoxo Shannen
