About Presbyterian Medical Services – Deming
Presbyterian Medical Services operates from 901 West Hickory Street in Deming. The site sits in Luna County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.
Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at Presbyterian Medical Services
Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Presbyterian Medical Services Address, Location and Contact Information
The address is 901 West Hickory Street, Deming, NM 88030, in Luna County. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity. It is worth checking which entrance to use and where parking sits before a first appointment.
Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Interpreting services including ASL are available on request. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip.

I'm not one to post reviews but this deserves attention & not the good kind. Poor customer service. The staff is rude and unprofessional. Starting from the receptionist, all the way to the medical assistants and… physicians. Do better, because Deming residents deserve better care.
Friday In for ear issue. Care was good BUT the antibiotic drops ordered were not in stock at store. Called med office 3X to get different order. They did not get back to store. Cannot wait days for antibiotic. Today med… office closed. Piss poor followup. Will have to see another doctor or risk infection. Legal action a possibility.
This place is a JOKE! I went for a second time to discuss my medications with the provider. All she did was tell me she couldn’t do anything for me even though I had all of my medical records in hand! I wasn’t asking or… even said anything about pain medication-I just want help. I want to be able to walk without every single step being excruciating. But nope-nothing. I had been here previously to establish a new PCP-but the MD was leaving which he failed to tell me. I mean when I called to make the appointment I explained my needs and they still had me waste my time talking to an NP who couldn’t even direct me where I needed to go or referred me anyway. Basically she did nothing.
I was very much struggling with having a new health issue but trying to get through with no health insurance and a doctor that wasn’t working out for a number of reasons. I ended up in the capable hands of Tiffany… Lopez, a support person who helped us navigate the medical and insurance systems and she worked at this location. She said they had a doctor there as well. So, with so much luck I was able to get several appointments with him, Dr.Zambrano. He was so wonderful however he is now in Arizona for good reason, helping people as he does, but will hopefully be back when he is done. ✅ Deysey the front staff is always meeting with a smile, giving all information possible and was willing to help me out in so many ways like calling when she received results, and making me copies of whatever I turned in, sending faxes. She was absolutely amazing. Everyone we dealt with in that office was brilliant. We had only good experiences there, and were treated with respect, care, and compassion/kindness/friendliness the entire time!
I arrived in Deming right at the tail end of Dr. Zambrano's residence here at PMS and got to see him a couple of times before leaving. It was a relief to have a Doctor that took my wife and I seriously for the chronic… health issues going on in our lives. Fast forward to the past month or so with this new doctor and things are the complete opposite. This person constantly seems to not want to be at work and is terribly condescending with her patients. She's also very cold and uncaring about any problems we might bring to her attention. We will be pursuing healthcare elsewhere. Thanks but no thanks.
Dr. Julio Fermin is an exemplary advocate for patients with ADHD! He is a definite asset to Deming Health Center Presbyterian Medical Services! I have been an elit commercial truck driver for expedite pharmaceutical for… 28 years. I took adderall which was mandatory while driving a semi truck and 53’ trailer. It made me ill and I ended taking any more of that medication. Dr. Fermin put me on a better medication that is not a narcotic type like adderall. I wish I had this new med years ago. Kudos to this doctor’s professional acumen in finding a med that did so much for my life. No anxiety or stomach illness. Perfect! Thank you.
The receptionist is rude 100% of the time. How dare I try to check in while you're having your conversation talking mess about other employees. Always met with a bad attitude and a dirty look even though I have an… appointment. It's the same lady every time. If you hate your job and your clients, work somewhere else. The only saving grace in this place is the qualified nurses and assistants, they seem genuinely nice and have never given me a problem which is interesting considering they're the ones that actually have to do real work. Reception can't even enter addresses, names or insurance information properly the first, second, or even third time. I can't tell you how many times I've had to go in to fix an error on my paperwork. Please do better.
Due to a comedy of errors, I ended up in a bad medical situation and needed to establish a new Primary Care Provider. I received 4 texts to confirm my appointment in the 3 weeks between making the appointment over the… phone and arriving to the 1pm appt at 12:40, where the door was locked, so I figured they were still on their lunch break or something after checking their posted hours. While I was gone, I received a text instructing me to text them when I arrived, so I returned at 12:55 and texted that I’d arrived. After 1pm when the door was still locked and I was feeling much worse from standing outside in triple-digit heat, I started calling to find out what their plan was. I tried knocking on the door but I lack physical strength so that was difficult. The phone lady said she’d look into it and then disconnected the call. The second call didn’t connect me to a human at all. Finally a person came outside well after 1pm to tell me they weren’t seeing patients this day because they don’t have a provider. I told the girl and her alleged manager that they have a responsibility to let patients know if appointments are being canceled and showed them the texts I’d received that day on my phone that gave me the idea that I would be keeping my appointments that day. I was, in fact, quite ill and had to go to the emergency room where I got surprisingly good care and effective treatment, but now I have to find a new PCP. If Deming had any consistent public transportation, access to non-emergent medical care (not even ONE real Urgent Care?!), it would help relieve the burden on preventing qualified healthcare providers from wanting to work here permanently. Or, to set the bar back down where this place put it, literally any competent human who can do the bare minimum of their job, I’d accept that as a compromise.
Excellent service, and excellent Dr. Zambrano.
My appt was great. Dr Zambrano took time to go over past and current prob. Nurse was great. Afterwards Crystal helped me get another appt in a different city way up north NM. Thank you all for all the help.
I was treated poorly within minutes of arriving for my appointment. Both the women at the check in counters were on the phone and couldnt be bothered to acknowledge my presence til they were done with what they were… doing. Having worked in customer service for well over a decade, I can tell you it is very easy to give a friendly nod while on the phone. Once a lady was able to help me she immediately shooed me and my 2 small children outside and told us to wait for our paperwork. Ummm... I have an appointment, why am I waiting outside an empty waiting area in the direct sun with an ankle injury and no seating? No thanks, Im already uneasy about "medical professionals" who have good manners, much less the kind that let me know up front they dont care about me or my wellbeing. I called and spoke to an administrator who was kind and apologetic, which is the only reason I am leaving an extra star. Im glad I didnt give this place a chance to get any worse.
We have given up on these people. They have disappointed and failed me and my family for too long. Nothing changes in their rudeness and obvious distain for their jobs and their patients. We quit this place to find… healthcare not health abuse.
