Disgusted by how they treat patients. It was so easy to become a new client but they completely ignore you once you become established. No phone calls answered, even if you run out of your medication. I called several… times over several weeks and have given up. This is literally the worst mental health facility I’ve ever worked with. Steer clear unless your mental health is your absolute last priority, because it is for them.

I called ahead specifically for adult autism testing and diagnosis and was told this is a service they provide. Based on that, I scheduled and spent about $100 on Lyft rides to get there. I was there for nearly four… hours, and it became clear no one understood I was there for a diagnostic evaluation. The assessment felt extremely generic and surface-level, with no explanation of what was being done or why. They then sent in an occupational therapist, which made no sense for a diagnostic appointment. He gave no direction, and I had to repeatedly ask what he needed from me. There was no clarity about the purpose of that time at all. Afterward, I was told I would see a nurse practitioner next, who may or may not do autism testing. No clear plan, no explanation of the diagnostic process, and no indication of who would actually diagnose. I was also told they would call me to schedule once the nurse practitioner returned from being sick. That was two weeks ago, and I’ve heard nothing. The entire experience felt disorganized, poorly communicated, and unprofessional. I came in for a specific service, was told they provide it, and instead got a vague intake process with no clear path forward. This was a complete waste of time and money.

As a patient seeking ADHD… treatment, I expected timely care and clear communication. 1. Delayed first prescription: 3-week wait with no updates. As well as no return calls. 2. No initial communication about new system causing delays in prescription from nurse practitioner Lauren Simmons. No script pad available for physical prescription. 3. No prior appointment scheduling for next prescription leaving me to go without prescription refill in timely manner. 4. Multiple Unreturned calls and voice messages. 5. Call backs to emergency contact number instead of primary number despite me leaving my number on the voicemail. 6. No record of scheduled appointments, Staff was unaware of my second appointment, blaming other team members for lack of notification. After weeks of attempts of communication to make an appointment, I was notified via email of needing a counselor in order to receive care. I let the counselor know of my experience with communication to the office she was very nice and offered help. After leaving multiple voicemails to the office without response I realized I was doing myself a disservice by continuing to extend grace. No one takes your treatment seriously, the counselor, Rashaunda Fargo did the best she could. I sent an Email to cease care and that was the only thing responded to immediately. A Beautiful Mind's poor communication, disorganization, and unprofessionalism led to unnecessary stress and delays in my treatment. I advise others to exercise caution when seeking care here. In response to their comment: There is no way I would not answer their call. It is absolutely absurd to reply with such a blatant falsehood. The office called me back for the first time this morning in response to my email. Please Read all of their reviews!

Never called me back said there was a waiting list and that they would keep in contact to see if I was still interested someone called 2x in a 3 month span apart from what they said which was they keep in contact every… other 3 weeks but I found a better place is anyone needs a place that accepts Medicaid then you should check out the gentle caress definitely won’t make you feel neglected or abandoned

I was a patient with beautiful mind.back in 2021 my Dr.was very professional she was a joy to talk to although I'm still having mental issues I was thinking about reaching out to them again but reading these reviews got… me wondering should I but my experience was nice.and I need help 💔

The WORST!!!! They took my medical billing info… left me in a room to complete some worksheets they called an assessment then put me on a waitlist for services. They billed my insurance and then left me on the waitlist… for 4 months… they called periodically to inform me that they forgot about my case after billing me and then to remind me that I was on a waitlist. Terrible service, worst attitude. Literally you’re better going anywhere else than here. All the bad reviews are real, any 5 star reviews they have, they created themselves. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IF YOU NEED ACTUAL MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES… they will bill you and do 0 other than collect your money

These people do not take mental health seriously. After addressing my mental health issues. I still have not received a therapist it has been weeks now. I feel like they don’t care sadly i won’t be back. If you wanna be… taken seriously for your mental health issues just avoid this place.

They take a VERY LONG TIME to get to you. Some of these "professionals" have no idea how to ask or help their clients. If you need help immediately avoid this place. If you wanna be taken seriously for the slightest of… issues avoid this place.

This mental health center provides GREAT service. The counselors are wonderful to talk and they catered to all my needs. I will suggest anyone who is seeking service, A Beautiful Mind is a place to go. If I can give… this business more stars I would. My employer needed documents/records and A Beautiful Mind made the process easy. Thank you guys!!!

Be ware unprofessional staff, and illegal practices. This establishment should not be rated any stars. It’s a poor example of a referral service. I am still waiting on medical records that I requested in September,… October, November, and December. I am still waiting. They are not familiar with working class people and do not concern themselves with time tables abs constraints when it comes to guidelines and time expectations. The falsify documents and violation hippa law as often . BEWARE location is the only thing going for this place. It’s a joke if your seeking true mental health 🙏. It’s family ran, unfortunately they are unaware of HIPPA laws. The owner Chiquita is rude and combative, don’t bother filing a complaint within the company, her brother is HR, and he has no tact or professionalism, he will advise you of his relationship with the owner. Sadly they are not supportive of good mental health.

This type of mental health care has been needed in the community for a LONG time! The owner is an amazing BLACK woman who has a personal desire to help people with mental health conditions! They accept insurance and are… VERY accommodating. If you’re looking for mental health services, look no further!!!

This Has been the worst experience in addressing my mental health, the office facilitator is very unprofessional, everything mirrors back to she has to get her child @3pm. Oh I cant update your paperwork because I have… to hey my son at 3 or what time will you get here I have to get my child at 3. I should have took those signs, however going through my situation I didnt come to find out she never was updating my Dr with the information he needed which led her to filling out paperwork which he needed to fill out which led me to Not being paid. Then turned it around as oh its your fault for signing release papers, I has nothing to hide and if the is legitimate why do I need to not release the information? She told me I been doing this over a year her exact words… wow year leaves no room for growth so many things happened with this case and yet to be resolved but save yourself the stress and possible headache dont choose this place as your place for treatment they are NOT looking to help you after she was paid she was done.
