ABHS – Port Angeles Detox and Rehab Services
ABHS – Port Angeles appears on the register for residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
Combined treatment is not recorded, which is worth checking before committing. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

ABHS – Port Angeles Address, Location and Contact Information
Records give the address as 825 East 5th Street, Port Angeles, Washington, 98362. The city lies within Clallam County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. The practical question of getting to appointments week after week is worth thinking through at the outset.
It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

Would be good program if it werent for the worst food ever served to a human being.
Five years ago, I made one of the best decisions of my life when I entered treatment at a rehab facility in Port Angeles, Washington. At that time, I was struggling and needed help finding my way back. What I found… there was much more than just treatment—I found hope, support, and the tools I needed to rebuild my life. The program helped me physically by teaching me how to live a healthier lifestyle and take care of myself again. More importantly, it helped me mentally and emotionally by giving me the support and guidance I needed to work through the challenges I was facing. One person who made a huge impact on my recovery was my primary counselor, Derek. His guidance, encouragement, and belief in me helped me see that a better future was possible. He took the time to listen, challenge me when I needed it, and support me throughout my journey. Today, I am proud to say that I have been clean for five years. I have never looked back. My life is better than I ever imagined it could be. I am thriving, happier than I have ever been, and able to be present for my family and the people I love. Recovery gave me a second chance at life, and I will always be grateful for the role this facility and the staff played in helping me get where I am today. To anyone who is struggling, know that recovery is possible. I am living proof that with the right help, support, and commitment, your life can change for the better.
My son Genaro attended this facility and had the time of his life! Great respectful staff, food good, unbelievable! Thank you all involved so very much!
This is a place where you find brotherhood and to learn how to become team oriented. The staff is outstanding they go beyond anything you would expect from a treatment facility. I personally found exceptional health… services both in the mental and physical. I would recommend this treatment facility to anyone who wants to save the life of a loved one or to improve one life from drugs and alcoholic. They were the best to me and I will not forget each and every one of them. I graduated 1/16/2020 from Port Angeles and can't thank them enough. Thank you Paul Anderle
Graduated from here back in 2020 just celebrated 5yrs. I couldn't have done with the support an staff. Especially my counselor
I helped a very good friend get into the facility very recently. Initially, this facility was super helpful, cooperative, and seemed super promising. In spite of being his emergency contact, and having helped him check… in, I was refused the ability to get a release of information signed, and the facility was not willing to accommodate communication between the patient and I DESPITE BOTH OF US REQUESTING IT. On top of this, they released this WHEELCHAIR BOUND 19 YEAR OLD 2 WEEKS EARLY, without any warning, not arranging any transportation for him, instead encouraging him to go to a local bus stop when he lives 6 HOURS AWAY. I don't know how anyone saw that as an acceptable way to handle a discharge.
I will say 10 out of 10 awesome place.. But that Caron lady needs a new job. For her to say "He just needs to brush his teeth.." Lady what is your problem??
Do not send anyone you love to this facility. HORRIBLE.
I put myself into treatment thru this facility and they helped save my life and made me feel like I was a worthy person with endless potential. Of course they have rules like any other place but the whole staff was… awesome and I give them 20 stars if I could. Thank you for being the rock I needed.
I was a patient here and could not have had a better experience. Counselors and staff were the best and actually went out of their way to help, comfort, treat etc. I can’t say enough. If I had to do it all over again… (which I won’t) I’d do it there. Thank you to Eddie, Mary, Mike (who did the most), Cade, Michelle, Mercedes, Joe, Jessica, Jess, Stacy, Mike etc. and if I didn’t mention your name or misspelled it, oops! but I appreciate how all of you treated me while there. With dignity and respect. Thank you
I literally just left there an hour ago I was scared when I walked in but was met with open arms the counselors the mental health the care team and the woman are one huge family we had our days who doesn’t but we came… together and healed together it was an amazing life changing experience I will never forget and I truly believe I’m heading home with the wisdom I need for a great fulfilled life of recovery and the tools I need to be clean stay clean and get my baby’s back thank you Abhs for everything you are and do I know you guided me to build a better me and I am forever in debt to you with love amber maccurdy
I loved my stay here, it was a safe haven for me so that I could get well and stable enough to return back to reality and not fail at this thing called life. Going on 3 years sober now, thank you Jesus
I just graduated from here and my experience was wonderful. The staff was amazing! I was scared to make the change, thank you everyone there for making it possible.
If you have other options I would definitely not recommend this place. If you are wanting to be treated like a sub-human 3 year old then this is the place for you. With the exception of very few kind staff members on… the care team the staff has absolutely no respect for clients. I have been to two other treatment centers prior and this is the bottom of the barrel. There is no positivity incorporated into this program at all. Rather they will treat you like everything you are doing is wrong or devious no matter how serious you are or how much effort you are putting into your personal program. The food is so horrible that literally everyone needs to be on a laxative. Healthy eating is an essential part of recovery. Healthy food can definitely be made on the cheap but this place does not know how or care to. I was so sick from the laxative one day and they refused to believe me or accommodate me. Instead I was accused of lying and being in bed “all the time”. This was a flat out lie. I was also yelled at and asked, “What is wrong with you???” by an abusive staff member. They do not allow any sort of prescribed smoking cessation options. In my case I came in with patches prescribe by my dr at the hospital I detoxed at. I vape and wanted to quit but was not allowed to use the patches so I had to smoke cigarettes. Stupid. I signed an ROI to have my records released to my health care provider. They did not do so. I did not see my counselor for 10 days. They ask you to put in request forms for everything you need from staff. I put in multiple requests (6+ For certain things) and more often than not I would get no response at all for my needs. No communication at all. There is a staff member named Rochelle that has absolutely no business working in a treatment center environment. She is on a massive power trip with severe anger management issues. She will treat you very poorly and in my case accused me of things that were flat out false, insulting and that she had no idea about anyway. She is the reason I left 2 days early. The very best thing I did for myself and do not regret it one bit. They refused to call me a cab. I did not want to turn my phone on right away after treatment as I wanted to ease into real life. So I had to walk with my huge bag to the hotel. I could go on and on. Despite all of these things I have been very successful in my recovery because I truly wanted it and put my all into my personal recovery and followed every rule to the T. Something the staff did not recognize or believe in me
I learned a lot here. I'm grateful for the knowledgeable staff and counselors, they do everything they can to help you.
Scammers that steal money and property from the patients they fail to help.
Are men and women on the same floor? Do we have classes together? How many beds does this facility hold??
"It works if ya work it.". Still going strong! :) Thank you SS2! Life is good.
So I waited 2 days in the hospital to get accept. Asked what I could bring. They said zyn(nicotine salt pouches) were fine. They allow cigarettes. I drove three hours to get there. They started the intake process and… the administrator scott came out and said I could not have them. when I got upset he threatened to call the cops and made me wait outside in the 88 degree weather while my girlfriend turned around to pick me up. I'm now driving three hours back home. Scott the administrator was ridiculously rude and immature. Don't ever go here.
I had a great experience at this treatment center. The skills I learned here will definitely help me on the road of recovery .
When you are ready you.are ready The counselors were amazing and so is the staff I am truly grateful they were there to help me get sober. Being able to go to church, celebrate recovery, and other meetings outside made… the stay much easier as well
People are unprofessional rude and unaware Of state laws. They enjoy littering and harrassing neighbor's about parking. Ashamed to have. This "business" as a part of my community.
Amazing place! Staff and Care Team were attentive to your needs. The food was homemade but ok. The best rehab ever! I highly recommend!
Horrible program food is trash lied about what they provide did 12 hours here detoxing from pain pills and most the people are homeless and just want a place to stay! To have their tolerance for alcohol go back down so… when they get out they get drunk faster ! Which isn’t that bad just not what I needed ! Not only that scabies is definitely in there went home itching myself to death they do let u smoke and obviously watch tv pretty freely just wasn’t right for me ....I’ll stay at home and detox
Went here to detox for alcohol and literally had a horrible experience. Staff is unprofessional and act like children. Some dude high on meth got kicked out for suspicion of using in the facility. Which is… understandable and the backdoor you use to go smoke is always unlocked. The dude who was high straight came back in and watched a movie like nothing happened and staff didnt notice for hours. Wyd is that. Lol. Got kicked out of detox five hours before my intended release because the lady with the short curly black hair the short one has an attitude problem and doesn't know how to communicate with others. Other than that the gatorade was warm lol petty I know but still. Plus having to remind medical staff that it's time for your meds now because your feeling sick. Isn't that their job. Lol this place was a dumpster of a facility full of assclowns. That's it tho. The pizza was good tho I think on thursday.
The staff was professional and managed well since the staff change. A good place for people who genuinely want to get clean
