APT Foundation Inc – West Haven

This is sadly the worst treatment center I’ve had the displeasure of working with. I’ve been a an exemplary client for a long period of time. I needed to leave the state today because I had a death in my family so they… suggested instead of putting in my medication for it’s refill (which was due today but they made a mistake like every other month and said I couldn’t get it until Monday. So they suggested even though I explained I have state insurance and my prescriptions aren’t covered out of state that I find a pharmacy out there to do this / meanwhile I’m dealing with a family emergency and I explained that I was told I can’t pay out of pocket for my prescriptions due to limitations with my insurance and I was told I could lose my insurance if I pay for them - the director just reiterated that I do that, and therefore jeopardize my insurance. Do to their incompetence. They only have a Dr in the office 1x a week that I can POSSIBLY get ahold of , phone calls are never returned except by Moe who is a counselor and a saint to work with such uncaring people. This place has gone downhill since opening the west haven location. It’s ok to mock patients to their face and I’ve just had it with their lack of communication and empathy. If you don’t like working with people- don’t!! We don’t need mental health workers that perpetuate negativity and stress. Formal complaints will follow.

Polly is one of the best councilors I have ever experienced!!! Just talking to her makes me feel better. Seeing my baby dogs on the wall makes me feel at ease when in her office. She WILL go the extra mile for you!! She… WILL make your success a reality!! And shoutout to Mo as well she is the easy breezy chick who will leave you with a smile no doubt! This facility changed my life. Although, the attendance schedule needs a reformat. I had monthly bottles taken from me twice for missing days that I couldn’t control. They just keep making it harder. It should go by your track record! Why take bottles from someone who hasn’t used in 6 years?! Just because my car broke down. It needs revision but that’s the states job not theirs! Diana is also fantastic as a director she did try everything she could within her limits. Anyway goodbye and so long, maybe I’ll apply as a counselor 🤣

APT has alot of amazing Clinicians,nurses, recovery coaches and of course Security. I just want you all to know I appreciate you ❤️

The counselors here seem to be on a power trip and really don't show in anyway that they actually care. They don't follow protocol by reading notes before seeing a client. They always assume the worst and will NEVER… BELIEVE anything you say. They assume everyone is lying to them. They don't smile EVER. There is never any Accountability when they do something wrong but if you do something wrong. You will know it and be punished. They don't have specific counselors for you...it's a first come first serve. Therefore you never have consistent support. They actually thought I was someone else because they don't follow protocol and read notes 1st. And then all you get after the nightmare is over "ooops we are sorry we just turned your stress level upside down" WITH NO ACCOUNTABILITY EVER!!!!!!!!! GO TO RECOVERY NETWORK...I hear they treat people like human beings not animal addicts.
