Huron Behavioral Health – Bad Axe

I used to go here many moons ago. One of the councilors tried to tell me I do to much which is pretty messed up when I have a family to take care of you can never do to much for your family. Dont let negative people… ruine your day either!!

My son has been going to hbh for 20 years. We had to find other services because EVERYONE that works here is rude! I will NEVER recommend this place. Our story is way to long to put into words and it's not worth my… time. WARNING DO NOT GO HERE!!. I would recommend Helious they are located in Chesterfield. They do on line appointments. My son totally bonded with his psychiatrist she totally listens. It's nice to sit in your own home and have good care. My son also is receiving counseling services as well. They accept Medicaid. ✌️

In the last year, I have had to switch therapists 4 different times. The therapist quit and then I have to be assigned to another new one. The new ones stay on only a month to 6 months only. I honestly just want a… therapist that stays. If I could find another place to take my insurance, I wouldn't hesitate to leave. I'm now on therapist number 5 or 6 from there. My first therapist was around for a year or so before she retired. Now it's just been turnovers. I really am discouraged by this.

They are a joke. I was scheduling my adults son phycology appointments all of a sudden you can't. Even they stopped sending appointment reminders with text. They refuse to reschedule a appointment I made for my son. On… top of everything I requested to speak to management not the case manager..

They are easy to get ahold of and most nurses and desk staff are nice. Therapist is good. But that’s where the good ends. The doctor is RUDE. You only see him on a screen and it cuts out a lot. He doesn’t listen or… address patient's concerns. You get no eye contact so it intensifies the lack of concern. He gives a treatment plan without explanation of how things will look and without a plan to help a patient BEFORE they get to the point of self harm or worse. After a large med drop said he would not meet again for 28 days and nothing that can be tried if things get bad. I’ve never before encountered a doctor that is this numb to patient concerns and well being. We have received better mental health care in a ER and if you dealing with mental health concerns, you know that is saying a lot. Instead of calmly talking to a patient that is mid crises and helping to calm things down, he was short and cut off everything she tried to say. It seems like a career change would do him well.

Your therapist Kim tries to paint accountability for wrongdoing as mental abuse. What is her motivation to cause a problem in our marriage? That's why my wife is hesitant to go to appointments.

I'm alot better off than I was due to using services provided by HBH...

Been in therapy for a few months, I really like my therapist and psychiatrist. Everyone is always very kind whenever I go, and my sessions have been helping me a lot. I recommend this place 100%
