Absolutely terrible. Social Services Department is under staffed and under experienced on VA programs. If your looking for assistance here, don't waste your time.

Dr. Porter at the Mather VA Primary Care Clinic is truly exceptional. After experiencing several disappointing interactions within the VA system over the years, meeting Dr. Porter was a breath of fresh air. She is… incredibly compassionate, patient, and takes the time to thoroughly educate her patients. She listens without rushing, explains things in a way that is easy to understand, and genuinely makes you feel heard and cared for. Her kindness and professionalism immediately put us at ease. With the VA, it can sometimes feel like a roll of the dice when meeting a new provider, but Dr. Porter exceeded every expectation. She embodies what patient-centered care should be. We left our appointment feeling informed, respected, and confident in our care plan. Thank you, Dr. Porter, for making such a positive difference. The Mather VA is fortunate to have you, and we are grateful to be under your care.

short on staff ,not all staff know what's going on .and

Horrible they will schedule appointments months in advance and the dr will cancel either the day of the appointment or cancel a month before. I hate this place if you have neuropsychologist I hope you don’t get dr… Hammond.

Extremely frustrating experience. Long delays, unclear instructions, and no real guidance. Veterans deserve better support.

Had the worst experience today, under staffed, and unbelievably slow, has never been like this in the past. I was always happy, but this time not, especially for 100% service connected Vietnam Veteran. We waited almost… 5 hours to be seen and they were not busy.

Best care for veterans. Great doctors that are attentive to their patients. Mather VA provides a wide variety of care and providers. We love this care center.

Dr. Wayne Kim was super.! He is knowledgeable, caring and humorous. .

I want to acknowledge the two outstanding employees of the MRI Department. Michelle and Vicki they were just amazing to interact with during my MRI. Michelle projected in her demeanor total confidence and made me feel… positive and in good hands. A feeling that calmed my nervous energy. Vicki was the other half of the team. Her happy go lucky interaction with me was welcoming. She has a gift of making you feel stress free. A sense of calm in a friendly kind of way. I am so thankful to have met Michelle and Vicki. I congratulate the VA for two great hires. Having these two who provide such a positive interaction. Will make any veteran feel we are in good hands. Respectfully Angel Sanchez

Dr Bach and the entire team in surgery treated me like a VIP, i was seen right on my appointments times, everyone communicated with me and each other in front of me , all very reassuring. My pre OP was scheduled… swiftly. the options were explained thoroughly, all my questions were addressed and a plan was chosen. Surgery got me in again quickly and Dr Bach performed my operation and i am almost completely healed 3 weeks later. i did not have a driver and im from out of town and Dr Bach arranged that i was given a room for the night and i want to say i wanted to stay a few more nights and make it a vacation i got treated so good. The staff and care team here are very friendly and knowledgeable, I'd even say fantastic. The only reason I'd like to give 3 stars is due to the registration check in desk at the ER. Twice, I've had to bring my… significant other to the ER for different reasons at night. The first time, we waited at the desk to be checked in for a good couple of minutes while the 2 staff members chatted about their personal lives and then we were acknowledged. The second time, we stood at the desk and it took us a total of 9 minutes to be addressed by a Receptionist sitting right in front of us and even had a slight tone like we had bothered her. I'm not one to go out of my way to bad mouth anything but this second time around really irked me. Otherwise great hospital and team.

While the one appointment I had at this facility was good, my next appointment was rescheduled, and I had to wait. It took twice as long to get there and ended up a few minutes late. They canceled my appointment and… canceled my next two appointments. I can't get care again until February. Parking, like others said, is really bad. It's like all the staff park there. Patient care is not the number one priority.

Went to the ER on March 28th because my knee popped out of place, the same knee I had a procedure on 3 yrs prior at this same hospital.. the ER refused care and told me I was faking and to leave the hospital. I went in… to file a complaint and found out they did a whole note in My chart that they provided pain meds, and provided care. They did not, and since the cameras have been reviewed to check, it has already been proved to be false documentation.Today I received a bill for the visit. When I called and asked y am I being billed for the hospital refusing care, I was informed since my blood pressure was taken I have to pay. It is now almost May and I have still never seen a doctor.
