About NMC Health – Newton

NMC Health operates from 600 Medical Center Drive in Newton. The site sits in Harvey County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Hillsboro, Moundridge and North Newton. Kansas draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Hospital inpatient care is delivered here. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Care offered spans more than one level, which means someone can move between them without changing provider.

Treatment Services at NMC Health

Hospital inpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Waiting times move with capacity, and what was true last month may not hold this week.

NMC Health Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 600 Medical Center Drive, Newton, KS 67114, in Harvey County. The catchment reaches Hillsboro, Moundridge and North Newton. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Opening hours shift with staffing, and an evening slot one month may not exist the next. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

Dr Ritchie is EXCELLENT! Very personable, knowledgeable, kind, truly listens and explains in understandable terms. Also very accessible and able to get an appointment in a reasonable time. Aftercare is just as great as… before and during the procedure.

Chis,on medical floor, is the best Rn,on that floor so, patient and kind and very gentle with the patients, but over all the hospital does not stand behind the patient they lied about things to family members, so please… be careful going there.

All the staff are good but nurses Christina and Kim have been great! Everyone was willing to help where needed. For someone in this field is great to feel well taken care of.

Mental illness is a joke. My daughter had a server issue and we've been here since a little after 11 and yet to been seen. This is ridiculous. Wouldn't let me ski a rating but definitely not recommended

My care recieved by doctors has always been good here but upon requesting an itemized list of charges after recieving a large bill I found that I was being charged numerous times for procedures and diagnostics not… performed at my visit to the E.R., when I asked for copies of the test results to confirm they were done I was told they werent in my medical charts and no one could say why.

Had thousands and thousands of dollars of procedures done there paid thousands of dollars did not realize I still owe $32 and they turned me over to an attorney for $32. What a joke avoid this place at all cost phone.… Customer Service, is rude and hateful in billing department

Pretty scary when you have medical problems and the doctor diagnosis from dead doctors notes and refused to receive my records stating one record states all my problems. I'm probably gonna file a malpractice complaint.… You don't order things that further injure a patient that's how lawsuits start.

Dr. Moore discussed options for path forwards, and associated risks. We did an evaluation, and he let me chose what option and path forward that I was comfortable with due to my symptoms. I felt he listened, evaluated,… and supplied options to try to address the situation. He was not pushy or in a hurry, and took his time with me. I appreciated the bedside manner greatly.

If I could leave a -10 star review I would the remake doctor I seen was absolutely the worst doctor I’ve ever seeing in my life. Talked down down me and acted liked she’s goods gift to this word.

Had a great experience until the bills for our newborns kept coming and coming, some of them 6 months after they were born. Today I recieved a letter from a law office claiming I owe even more! I've always paid bills on… time, the day I recieve them. I've even called the front desk to double check bills have been paid and am always told they are. NMC is either being intentionally dishonest or they are incompetent for billing. This has been strssful, caused a lot of anxiety for the unknown, and may effect my credit score. I'm stuck wondering what will happen next or when the next bill will arrive. I really wish we would not have used this hospital at this point. This is truly unacceptable.

I came in for cardio rehab for one of the toughest moments of my life. I was trying to best to stay on top of bills. I kept asking the desk ladies how to check and see if i had an amount with them. They kept telling me… i didn't. Then about 6 months later they turned me over to collections without ever billing me not even once. I chose Newton because i was tired of the rigamarole via christi billing puts people through. But NMC health is way worse.

I mean if you’re okay visiting a family member thats admitted to surgical and being treated like absolute trash or your loved one drugged up… then this is the place for you! Would not recommend as professionalism is… lacking. My sister and I were treated like crap while visiting our grandpa all the way to the extent of threatening to remove us from the hospital. Simply asked a question and tried to help keep him from being “angry” or “combative” so he can recover and not be drugged up and got our heads ripped off.

I have nothing but praise for NMC. I went to the ER with appendicitis and waited less than a minute to begin receiving care. Everyone I interacted with during the ER visit, surgery, and two nights in the hospital, from… reception to nurses and CNAs and doctors to custodians and cafeteria staff, every single person I interacted with showed care for me, was responsive to my questions, and made a very unpleasant experience into something bearable.

The staff here at the wound center is fantastic! The knowledge and care exhibited during the process of debridement. Staff made sure to inform me to call if questions and concerns for home care. I would highly recommend… the Wound Center.

Let me start by saying if you value your life or your loved one’s life. DO NOT take them to the ED at NMC. They will dismiss you, act like you’re not there. Patient care is an absolute joke! They told my loved one when… she came in with extreme pain that she couldn’t have pain meds till they got a iv line in. Took them over 5 hours to do so!!! Also, we had no idea what was going on because they literally told us nothing. Infusion team took over 2 and half hours to get there to try to get a iv line in.. which they couldn’t. They put her in a diaper and then left her to sit in her urine for over 5 hours without changing her or even inquiring if she needed to go. Even when I asked if she could be changed I was written off. Absolutely horrific! Oh and the “patient advocate” is a flipping joke. Don’t even waste your time talking to that lady. She only hears what she wants to. Sickening!! Say yourself the trouble and go somewhere else because this place is not it. I gave them 2 stars because the medical staff on the medical surg. Unit were very gracious and kind and cared. Val your ED is a joke!
