Pathways Inc – Hollywood Detox and Rehab Services

Recorded services at Pathways Inc – Hollywood are intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.

Addiction and mental health are worked on at the same time here. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Pathways Inc – Hollywood Address, Location and Contact Information

Pathways Inc – Hollywood is located at 44101 Airport View Drive in Hollywood, Maryland, 20636. This address falls in Saint Marys County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.

Call ahead to confirm directions, parking and what a first appointment involves. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

Went here today after being rescheduled twice. A month later, we had a 9am appointment today. I was there at 8:45 (for my son). At 9 am the front desk told me that the the therapist that is doing my son's intake is not… feeling well and someone will be with me at 10. At this point I'm completely pissed off because I'm not feeling well either ! The manager took us back after I had a complete "Karen episode", because I was not waiting an hour or being rescheduled AGAIN, missing work, and my son missing school. The manager apologized and was very professional with the intake process. Thank you to her! I don't know who will his therapist, but I assure you it better be someone who is competent and professional.

This is a shout out for Cynthia who takes calls and does the clerical part. She's efficient, empathetic, and has gone above and beyond helping me with a family member. It is so appreciated you have no idea! It starts… from the front desk on the way back. Working in an office myself the front desk can be overlooked but they are very very much part of the team. And I can't thank her enough and as far as the providers especially Cassandra the therapist!! the rest of the staff has been great! Thank you all 🙏

I was seen by dr reichard here before. She came in sick and was frustrated that I questioned why I was waiting for an hour past my appointment time to be seen. She then proceeded to deny my entire mental health history,… insinuated that I was a fraud, and told me to leave and come back with proof of my condition and symptoms. This clinic and her practice is a joke.

Completely disgusting of this company to laugh at a mentally ill patient for explaining they have been without their NEEDED medication and are spiraling into an episode + need help. These employees have no concern or… care for the patients here.

If I could I probably would give this place a zero because of how money hunger this place is, they take your money and spend it on themselves like for instance all you have to do is look at the type of vehicles that… they are driving. This place plays favorites for their consumers, they let other consumers get away with more than they do others. They do not treat you like a human being, this place treats you like the illness that you have. And they treat you like a little child. Take this from a person that has been in the program for over twenty years...

Horrible. This is by far the worst experience I’ve have had with a mental health professional. The therapist I had was lovely, however the appointment I had with the female psychiatrist after was BEYOND unprofessional.… The appointment lasted 2 minutes , summed up she instantly profiled me (who was only 18 at the time) as a drug addict for wearing dark clothes and having dyed hair and told me she would not help me and I should NEVER go else where for treatment after this. I was then told because the appointment was no joke 2 minute I didn’t owe anything by the front desk. She later tried to bill me HUNDREDS of dollars for an extremely brief and extremely unprofessional appointment where she simply degraded me. It’s been a few years now, I ended up going else where after and received treatment. After getting medicated for my mental health my quality of life has improved drastically ( funny enough I did actually need help and am still not addicted to drugs!). I will never return here nor recommend anyone treatment here. I now understand why their waitlist was the shortest when I was looking around for treatment.

Hired a convicted NP, Heather Voithofer. Found guilty of prescription fraud, theft and identity theft. HEATHER was bold enough to fill the fraudulent prescriptions on the Pax Naval base's pharmacy, where the MP arrested… her for blank prescriptions forms, she stole from a Doctor in Calvert Co. Charged in the FED court with Control Susbance Posession. Yet Pathways didn't do a background check. PW only care about the money, not patients. Refused care to the last person that jumped off the bridge. Director and staff members tried to cover it up. Stay away fromPATHWAYS. Heather Voithofer is back to working her fraud and Maryland said her license were expired and with a felony, she can't work as a LPN.

I went here for years. Never had a problem. The last six months I’ve been have medication issues and dr reichard was in no way trying to help me figure them out. She hasn’t been nice at all. They think they can take… advantage of their patients because they deal with mental issues. It’s not her fault but she is in no way qualified for this job. She’s getting paid to sit behind a camera and she can not even be nice. Terrible!!! You can’t treat your patients poorly and get away with it

I'm sorry to have to leave a bad review, but I am beyond frustrated. My appointment was canceled with no warning. I was only left with a voicemail after the fact and told to come in to update my treatment plan. Well… I've called. Several times in fact over the past weekend I have not talked to an actual person once. I stopped by the office on my lunchbreak and they of course weren't there. I know because of the pandemic they're probably short staffed but this is unacceptable.

I really hate to say anything negative about anyone who works with mental health patients but after losing my parents and everything I got a therapist here and it was quite obvious she didn't have a clue all she wanted… to do was throw medication at me to "fix me" when all's I needed was someone to talk to most of the staff are generally nice however when dealing with a specialist they tent to come and go sometimes leaving you in the dark when it comes to important information I really need help but can't seem to find it I genuinely can't take it anymore

I received the most unprofessional email from Trina Ardon, and because of that I will never go here. They should not have someone so unprofessional working in the mental health field. I hope this is never someone’s last… resort of reaching out for help, because she will do way more harm than good.

Never had a problem here. The supervisor Kristie was very nice, friendly and professional. Had an absolutely positive experience. I'm not sure why they're getting bad flak in the reviews but give this place a try. Be… nice and they will be more than happy to work with you. 5/5 from me. Wish I could rate higher!

My first day and it was horrible!! The doctor was unprofessional and spoke like I was beneath her. This doctor was cold, insensitive, and uncompassionate. She had her dog in her office, which was a huge distraction and… interruption during my appointment. Needless to say, I walked out on the doctor by saying, " I apologize for wasting your time and thank you." I left my husband behind with the nasty woman and left. I'll never seek services from these people again....I will drive to another state if I have to before ever having to deal with the disrespect that I received from this place. I don't see how this doctor can close her eyes and sleep at night with a clean conscience, treating people the way she treats them.

UPDATE I checked my account all weekend & by Tuesday I hadn’t received a refund, but another charge for $180.00. No refund & charged extra money without my consent. So now they need to refund me $360.00. I called Amanda… after I saw this & left a message. I called Sonja in billing she said she would look into it. She called back & said she spoke with Amanda who admitted to cancelling my refund & would give me a refund of $120.00. I said that was illegal of her to cancel a transaction I signed off on after I left & that she overcharged me now. She said that she would have to look at the paperwork at the end of the day & get back to me. Later I got a call from Exec Dir Gerard McGloin. He did not sound like he even wanted to talk to me. I explained to him our experience with the facility & that they stole money from me by fraudulently charging my card. He said he was“rejecting’ that statement & addressed me as “Lady”. Very unprofessional & disrespectful. He continued to argue with me that there was no fraud. I put my husband on the phone & he argued with him about this also. He then asked for his supervisor. Mr. McGloin informed us that he had no superior. My husband asked him asked him if he was the president of the company, CEO or owner of the facility. He stated he was the CEO & there was no one higher then him. My husband decided to finish the conversation as there was no point in speaking with this man who clearly had no intention of helping us. He asked him if he was going to speak with the doctor and find out about the fraud & the man said he would but wouldn’t give a time frame of when we would hear from him. After I found the Board of Directors on the company website. Turns out he lied to us because he is at the very bottom of the list where at the top is a Mr. Paul Snow, President. I needed a new doctor to continue prescribing my son medication. I asked if this service was available & they said yes. I had to go through an hour & a half intake process with a woman who frankly needs to retire. Paid my copay & was told I needed to come back to go over treatment plan. I questioned this because we have never needed a treatment plan for medication. I came back & was told I needed to pay again just to go over the same questions with the same very old lady & sign. I again questioned this along with the fact that this should have been done at the first appointment. It was a complete waste of time and money. Was told I would be refunded. Never was. Made an appointment with Dr. Reichard & informed would be through telecommunication. Our other doctor did it this way through another facility. Went in for appointment & sat for a half hour waiting. When we finally got in the room, she was on the screen sitting in her kitchen. She looked like she just rolled out of bed. She tells us that she has 3 screens in front of her but doesn't have all our information. We have to answer medical questions AGAIN! (The appointment was made 3 weeks prior. How do you not have this info?) At one point I saw someone walking around behind her. I questioned how this was not a secure area & in violation of HIPAA, she ignored me & turned her camera away so I could only see the wall. Then her dog starts barking loudly & we could barely hear her. After all this she states she is not allowed to prescribe one of the medications without a psychological eval & would also have to see him in person which she doesn't work in the office so can't. Not the case with our other doctor. I start questioning this & we get a knock on the door. She isn't listening to me because she was sending a message to Amanda the office manager to come in the room. I demanded a refund of the $180.00 I have now donated to this facility that is not able to provide the service I have continuously asked about. (All I need is someone to do med checks and continue prescribing my son the medication he needs) I also questioned the presence of other person/people in the same room as the doctor & the answer I got was, "well, she works from home". Amanda refunded my money.

Had a decent experience with a therapist there but wasn't a good fit, so decided to move on. My physician, however, was a total nightmare. Her name was Dr. A. She wouldn't tell me lab results, told me she couldn't and… wouldn't help me and recommended a program that I had already gone to, with awful results. She told me to look for drug trials because I was "untreatable" after one medication regime, which hadn't even been raised to therapeutic dosage, was attempted. I was 17 when this happened, and she was even rude and dismissive with my mother! ETA (I'm 22 now) This Doctor's 'advice' could have killed someone. This place is entirely unacceptable.

There just aren't a lot of options around here. I've had the same issues with the front desk as everyone else, but I thought I'd give a review because there's one thing that drives me nuts every single time I'm there:… the two TV's in the waiting room are on different channels. I assume it's to protect PII, but it seems like an odd choice, especially given the patient population.

On my intake I was quite put off by the front office staff. Despite being very pleasant to me, they could be overheard saying disparaging things about a caller on the phone while I was checking in, accusing them of drug… seeking under their breaths to each other in an office gossip sort of way. I thought that was a very unprofessional introduction to the facility. I did feel my intake counselor was competent, concerned with my needs, and accommodating. The psychiatrist I saw via video teleconference did not make me feel like a member of my own care team or treatment plan. She discounted the tools I had used with previous psychiatrists and counselors (I just moved from out of state- this isn't my first rodeo. I’ve been working on my health issues for more than 8 seconds), didn’t seem to listen to me or my experiences, and judged me by her experiences with other patients when it came to attitudes and expectations with regards to medicine, therapy and measures of success. She talked to me like this was my first time dealing with my mental health care. The questionnaires she reviewed with me asked the same things multiple times, and not even in a subtle redundancy check way, literally same question asked with only one or two questions between. She made a point of emphasizing how secure the teleconference was, but made no mention of the person behind her who walked through the shot at one point whether it was a Pathways employee, child or house keeper. She was working from home and the background appeared to be a stairwell and front door. Did not invoke a sense of privacy or security for me. The technology was worse than Skype; I couldn’t tell the difference between the words “hopeless” and “helpless” and thought she had repeated the same question.
