A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.

This place saves lives and I'm grateful for all of the staff and the warm smiles im greeted with. I feel valued as a part of the facility and never looked down on or judged. David has been a very caring counselor and… the nurses are awesome and don't preach to me about my last minute appearances lol thank you all! (I would have given 6 stars if you had Reeses pieces..)
This place and the employees are amazing and doing excellent work helping those who need this. It really is the beginning of a better journey, at least it was for me...but you have to be open minded, take… responsibility, and put in work.
I I was going here and was clean since October 2025. I had some life issues recently so I missed only 2 days this month alone and they coldly took ALL of my hard earned take homes away. My councilor has been out due to… an injury for over a month and I was never assigned another one. Patients are going through enough staying clean but if you have a life, family and children and could miss 2 days in 10 months, I wouldn't come here because they will derail your progress by not being understanding at all. The councilors, nurses and Ashley are so wonderful but that doesn't matter if no understanding is given when a serious family issue comes up or you are sick. They don't care at all. I was crying and begging them to not take all of my meds away but it fell on deaf cold ears. So be ready to be stressed out even more for life problems that couldn't be helped. You were warned😭😭
I would give this place zero Stars if I could I asked to get pumped up from 13 take homes to 27 and they told me that they're not accepting any applications or reading them or denying them because they don't have enough… staff I filed a complaint and also filed a complaint with the state and the answer I get back is that there was too many take-home orders for them to fill such a high volume but that's not what I was told so now they're trying to see face so I have filed with the state and Attorney General's office now they want to give me my take homes but they're mad at me for complaining so now they want to give me these stipulations where I can only pick them up when my kid has Pre-K coincidental I don't think so best place you know they favor certain people and if you're not in that particular group you can forget about it I have initially started coming here like 10 11 12 years ago and this place was never ran like this now it's just nothing but problems staff is always changing but before there was used to be stability here and that was long gone now when new management took over now I'm starting to wonder why all the old supervisors and counselors all left to go to a different facility that can't be coincidental you guys are better off going to a clinic that's 45 minutes away from this place because all they're going to do is mess with your life make you pick between your family and a medicine
IM SITTING HERE IN TEARS WHILE I WROTE THIS! I feel like a failure NOW!! It REALLY pains me to have to write such a negative review. Ive been coming there since May of 2025 and yes we had a rough start but then things… turned around. I was so proud of myself that I got an extra take homes for doing 4 groups and got 3 or 4 clean urines I was at a level 4. But., unfortunately my lockbox got stolen out of my car and now because someone else stole shit out of my car Im being punished for it. I brought the police report number and said Id get the police report and nothing else was said from Wendy or anyone. I ferl luke a failure and like the rug was pulled right out from under me. All because of someone elses actions Im getting punished. I may be leaving the clinic because I dont feel supported, just violated and I feel they do this just to make you fail. Honestly it kills me to have to write this but I can only express how i feel and I hope this doesnt happen to no one else. It would of been nice to be told that this would happen but no i dont get told until Im at the window with the nurses. I now feel like anything that happens in my life I wont be telling anyone there because I now feel unsupported and that I lost all trust with this place now. You took both take homes even though Ive been doing my groups and doing everything I was told. I can understand if it was happening alot but this is the first time my box got stolen and now Im punished for it if this isnt fixed I will be going up the chain. What a low blow to making a addict feel like a failure and unsupported. Its realky ashame i had to write this because I wrote a really good review months ago and now that all changed!! Way to go Pottstown clinic thank you for making me feel even more low and like a FAILURE!!
This is my mother’s account. She died a couple days ago after this place decided to kick her out for “having a bad attitude”. She appealed and explained she was currently not being treated for three major mood… disorders. She said she got a psychiatrist like they told her to but they didn’t have openings until December 18th which would have been her first appointment. THIS PLACE KICKED HER OUT THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING. a doctor who she never met once in the nine months going there made the decision to kick her out of this clinic which was five minutes from her house knowing she needed this program to save her life. She begged them not to. And now we don’t have a mother. We started go fund me And are at 12k already to pay for a lawyer to go after this place so no one else has to go through this.
My family is extremely pleased with the care my loved one is receiving from PCTC. The staff is great and the process is efficient. Mainly we are happy that my loved one is recovering. Thank you PCTC!
Nice place
The nurses are great. They care
Every day that I come to this clinic I am greeted with smiles by every staff member I encounter. Ashley is great and the nursing staff are absolutely wonderful. Chris, Z and Kendra are awesome always treating me well.… Everyday i come in I am treated with respect and I always walk out of the door with a smile on my face. Any issue or problem I've ever had that I brought up to the staff, they've addressed and taken care of in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this clinic to ANYONE that wants or needs MAT and wants to positively change their lives. The groups are great and they have plenty of days and times to choose to attend. I've been a client here for about 6 months and my life has significantly improved with the help of MAT program and specifically the Pottstown Comprehensive Treatment Center. :)
They have a clinical staff who, for the most part, genuinely cares about the clientele. I don't agree with holding the medication hostage, however, which they will do if you haven't made your groups for the month yet.… But everyone I've met and dealt with on the administrative side is great..they genuinely want me to succeed
I called Pottstown CTC and the Director, Wendy helped me so much. She was friendly and full of information. I am trying to get my son to go to this Center.
This place has made a huge difference in my familys life. I have a family member who was struggling for some time that now attends and truly have seen a lot of progress in them. He always speaks about how supportive the… staff are in his journey to being health.
Patient oriented facility. Truly the majority of the staff cares. GOD bless them
I initially liked the clinic when I started last month, but now I'm frustrated because I want to go to Florida to pick up my storage items, and I can't get vacation bottles since I haven't been here long enough. The… clinic doesn't provide clear guidance on how to qualify for more take-home doses and makes it very difficult to obtain vacation or take-home bottles. This has left me in a tough spot where I either have to guest dose, which will be extremely challenging during my trip, or face the inconvenience. This clinic is not living up to its promises, and I'm planning to speak to someone about this tomorrow. I'm really unhappy with the situation!
I have been frequenting this clinic for 2 years and my quality of life is so much better now, I was addicted to opiates for over 20 years ending with a terrible fentanyl addiction, through continued efforts and support… from my family and friends I have managed to stay clean for a year and 10 months as of today! I would recommend this facility to anybody with a true desire to clean up their life, they have great counselors and are very accommodating, with the friendliest staff.
Worst place, they won’t even fill out a health sustaining medication form….very unprofessional and if you’re looking for help this is the wrong place. They only care about money and it’s very obvious. They talk to you… like crap.
Very disappointed with this clinic. 1st things is the groups there are groups for females only & parenting but if you have grown children you can’t attend WHY???? There is no Men’s only group WHY??? This makes it… difficult for people!!!! What does parenting have to do with addiction???? Why isn’t there a men’s only group the men have things that they would like to talk about without women!!!!! You want men & every one to get groups in but when we have time to do meetings we’re stopped due to women only groups or parenting groups. Consider a men’s only group. You penalizes people due to this and it’s not fair. There are 13 groups that I can’t do cause of restrictions on groups that’s not right!!!!
They play favorites. And when an employee who is high up can admit her staff is full of drama that says a lot in itself. There is a patient there that acts like a child and has a problem with me but bc they allow her to… control them somehow I’m the one that got punished. I had 6 take homes, was threatened and got them all taken. I than was told I could only dose at a certain time and for over a month fought for a better time bc unlike the person with the problem w me I have kids to raise and two jobs 7 days a week. I basically got told I’m screwed on being able to come in earlier even if I have to work. So I can’t do early groups either. Then get told I could be kicked out bc the other person acted like a child. Even people in line laughed that I walked in, said nothing, put my head down and she literally pointed at me, yelled that I was there and acted like I was causing issues when it wasn’t me that was. I get told I can come then by 7am and now I basically get told another time even tho it could effect my job like who cares. I am a single mom trying to get my life together. I than get asked what’s wrong when I was obviously upset by the staff than the drama staff started issues. I have also been told if we are there together just ignore her, which is what I did. I feel the state needs to check out how this is running. Even being sent to another clinic could mess up me raising my kids, and I’m literally all they have all while the person causing the problem has no job or no kids she actually raises. All around, even in groups it’s been told the unfair treatment. Staff has told some of us they left bc of the unfair treatment. If you’re heathers patient you get what you want, anyone else nope. And the way I was treated when I was trying to explain my side after being sat down, which I’m sure the one that caused the issue wasn’t sat down and won’t be constantly gets away w it. I was threatened to be killed by this girl. And it’s not my fault they didn’t update my file stating I had to be there between 7-7:30 for my job. They want us to complete groups yet how do I do that if I can’t coke in early. They should look at what happened the other day and tell her to grow up, don’t speak or look at me. I’ll do the same and we be able to be adults. Not the threats and favorites. I already have a call into my counselor bc he was there and a place that is run also by our place that told me who to call for unfair treatment bc even they said none of that should happen
Heather is the head lady in charge, she is strait disrespectful and doesn’t follow the law what so ever and makes up her own rules as they go, Wendy does the same as well, make rules up as you go! Definitely doesn’t… like white folks. They both are getting criminal charges filed on them
The people that do the right things there never get the rewards that all the people that are doing the wrong things seem to get..plus a good majority of the staff dont care..i have been dehumanized by people that work… there bc they think it's okay to talk down to people and treat us like we're children just because we're addicts. Especially the receptionist!
The staff is great but the doctor seems non existence there. I ask for a appointment just to check in and she just says no. Very unprofessional, she also feels very judge mental.
I am currently a patient at the Mechanicsburg location after transferring from the Pottstown location. I know it’s difficult to understand when a review is just spewing hate, but let me just set the stage for you.… Imagine waiting over an hour, 6 days a week to receive medication dosing. That is not an exaggeration or a fable, if you are thinking about attending this clinic be prepared to not be able to have a 1st shift/day shift position, because all clients have to work 2nd and 3rd shift due to the clinic and their staffing shortages. Clients literally bring fold up lawn chairs to sit in outside in the parking lot and front lawn due to the lengthy lines through the entire parking lot. Imagine standing in thunderstorms and snow storms for over an hour everyday outdoors due to the volume of clients lined up and the time it takes to make through the line. There are 25-40 people enrolled in over the phone groups where you can not obtain any knowledge due to everyone screaming. You also have to ask for a counselor, your counselor will never call you or will you know who your counselor is until you ask. If you are prescribed any narcotic medication, even if verified through your outside doctor. The physician within this clinic doesn’t feel comfortable having someone on say, Adderall or sleeping medications in mixture with methadone. So you can be on those medications, however you will never be allowed to have take homes if you are legally prescribed other medications, it is up the clinic physician and she won’t allow it. I understand the staff is trying at this location, however Acadia the parent company needs to stop accepting new patients at this location until they can service their current clients more effectively. It is truly sad that this is the only option for some clients, and this is what they need to attempt to deal with to get sober. I believe this location has caused great a many clients great issues due to their ineffective treatment. So I pray Acadia does something to help fix this location. Who wants to wait 1-2 hours a day to throw back a cup of liquid medication. It’s bad enough the laws surrounding methadone are stuck in 1972, let alone waiting that long daily for your medications. Very sad situation.
Great people
Excellent staff members who have a great deal of empathy, respect, understanding, patience, & who will actually go that extra mile in order 2 try 2 help others in whatever ways possible. Yes, I'd surely recommend this… place 2 any1 in need of help 2 try & combat an addiction 2 opiates. The group's r also really good & actually interesting topics, which is way more than what c b said about other groups @ various or most other treatment facilities. U seriously couldn't find anywhere else, this high level of care, devotion 2wards us clients from staff, or feel any more valuable or excepted as a client or person in general, as how emencely u do here @ this place or umungst these staff members!!! And I certainly do greatly appreciate everything that they've done 4 me as well as what all they still continue 2 do 4 me & 4 others here!!
After 6 years at this clinic 4years clean and with 6 take homes my fiance has been refused reinstatement after missing 3 days due to unforeseen circumstances out of his control. Their excuse is loitering. First he… brings me there every day, second he meets with his counselor any time available when he takes me there, he was never warned about any"loitering issue" that he may be kicked out of program. New reason was the so called "clinical super, or Mathis wannabe" claimed he had proof he was part of a Latin gang and told his counselor to not be was threatening (she did the legal thing and didn't lie for Jasper)! Turns out with all this been said, it turned out I'm the reason he was denied reinstatement after 3 day incarceration! I'm was and still am opening their violations to the public and got the state department of drug and alcohol programs involved for unethical practices by the doctor, clinical supervisor, director, and several counselors! Patients who do not abuse psychiatric meds are being forced to choose their mental health or their sobriety. This clinic is not been allowed to become bendo free! Although they can deny new patients entrance while on benzodiazepines. Current existing patients on medications by psych drs well monitored such as klonopin ativan seroquel neuronton trazadone must have provable reasons to be forced off, such as abuse of benzos not getting them by a psychiatrist, not taking meds, the psychiatrist not agreeing with change of any medications etc. My fiance has relapsed after 4 years 100% sober after refusal to reinstate him, yet will allow a person who can't stay clean and was incarcerated for 2 weeks right back immediately?? Funny when it's a Hispanic man who misses 3 days for the same reason!! Harrisburg had stepped in to help us and many other patients out of concern they are violating patient practices, and grievance processed and rights to appeals and hearings, after not only petitions were signed, but over 2 dozen letters written. Thankfully with new laws set in place by our governor there will be changes to these money grab facilities! In spring of 2019 after a call with the drug and alcohol agency in Harrisburg the investigation is ongoing and it's been over a year... Apparently they are being told subs are available when they aren't too get new patients. Counselors are discussing patient info with other patients. I just discovered that Acadia snd gov. Tom Wolf's drug legislative affairs office is aware of possible fraud and hips violations. This clinc needs alot of investing and many people removed..patients are not a priority their jobs are. They do quick set ups to cover tracks when the state has appointments to go in. once the state or other agencies leave this clinic will take all papers flyers and instruction for patient's down and the patients are left not knowing how to file complaints, grievances, or the numbers to call for help!!.. they very sneaky and the head counselor Charlene will reports every discussion over heard to the staff members no matter the subject. Which she is not allowed to do either. This had been updated with new info from a patient/former patient group that stays informed to advocate for the continued rights of those on medicated treatment!
