I would not recommend this place to someone new to recovery or new to detox. The basement in this facility, especially, during the evenings felt like a "rave," to where the volume of the TV was way too loud, too much… crosstalk and the begin/end groups were way TOO large to discus as to how your day will begin or how your day will end. You need to have more providers and councilors, which we all know are few and far between these days, but the ones you do have were great. I also do understand their caseloads are way too large to support groups of this size that are looking for long term recovery. Also, knowing the facility was a former monestary, this place was not built properly to be a state of the art recovery center. It felt more so like a former state mental facility, with no places for small group sessions or one to ones, which are needed during someone's early sobriety. I must say, Milton was AMAZING though, so shout out to Milton!!!!

I would absolutely recommend the Ridge to anybody struggling with substance abuse. I have been to other facilities and the Ridge is by far the best one I've been to. I can honestly say I left there without any… complaints and trust me I'm a complainer!!Lol You will have a single room with your own bathroom which was a huge plus to me. Also the food was cooked on site and compared to other places I've been was great. Lastly I was very pleased with the staff they were very professional and really made me feel as though they cared. Special thanks to Agnes who was very helpful

As a family member observing the treatment environment at this facility, I must express serious concerns about the inadequate care and discriminatory practices I witnessed during my loved one's stay. The facility… demonstrates a troubling pattern of failing to provide an equitable, safe, and supportive environment for all patients, particularly those from diverse cultural backgrounds. During my observations, I witnessed multiple incidents that raise significant concerns about the quality of care and professional standards maintained at this facility. Most alarming was the staff's inadequate response to discriminatory behavior and theft. Multiple incidents occurred where patients were subjected to verbal harassment and discriminatory language, yet staff consistently failed to implement appropriate de-escalation techniques or address these serious concerns. When issues of discrimination were raised, they were dismissed without proper investigation or implementation of support measures. The facility's approach to conflict resolution is particularly concerning. In one incident I observed, when a patient was called an offensive name, the clinician's response was merely to tell the victim "don't poke a bear" – a response that normalizes hostile behavior and fails to maintain professional standards of care. Security and property protection are severely lacking. Multiple incidents of theft occurred, including the disappearance of an Amazon gift card and other personal belongings, with no meaningful action taken by staff. The lack of accountability and proper investigation into these incidents creates an environment where patients cannot feel secure in their personal space or possessions. Staff engagement was consistently poor, with many more focused on their personal phones than providing necessary patient support. This level of inattention is unacceptable in a recovery environment where patient supervision and engagement are crucial for successful treatment outcomes. The facility's practices appear to warrant investigation by relevant oversight bodies, including CHRO and CARF, due to concerns about discriminatory practices and failure to maintain professional standards of care. The current environment is particularly detrimental to individuals genuinely committed to their recovery journey, as it lacks the structure, security, and cultural competency necessary for effective treatment. As a family member invested in the well-being of those seeking recovery services, I cannot recommend this facility to any potential patients or their families, especially those from diverse backgrounds, as the current practices and policies fail to provide the safe, supportive, and inclusive environment essential for successful recovery.

I can't say enough for this new facility as of February 2024. Rebuilt on the structure of a Catholic retreat, and retaining some of the origins of the original building. What is what the most important is that maybe 75%… of the staff have come from drug or alchohol dependency and found their way out of this trap. They have people from AA or NA come once a week to tell their stories. I found this a big help to me. I know this is a little trivial, but the food is very good, this comes from someone that had spent nineteen days there. Anyways, more information. You start off on the first floor in detox for about five days. Then you move to the upper two floors. Women on the second and men on the third. You have a great room to yourself, and a shower of course. I think this concept let's one focus more on their recovery. Once on the upper floors, you are asked to engage in four groups during the day. It sounds intense, but it's not. People that smoke are allowed to (I think) twice a day. All I can add is that it's really about the staff. I've never seen people so genuine and caring. I'm not afraid of making this review, because I feel it could save a life. Let's face it. Life is a struggle and far what we saw as kids. I wish you all well. You can always contact me through FB @ gary dyjak. If you need someone to talk to or even need a ride (after 5 PM) LIFE IS SO HARD. Let's face it....harder than our parents endured!

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. It’s not comparable to other facilities. Very clean and organized and such a nice place great food and great rooms. The staff are amazing each and everyone I saw… and met were there to help, listen and preform in such a professional and friendly way. I would recommend to anyone that needs help in any way to give them a call they are there to help. If I ever need help again I know I’ll be calling them.

I have been to a handful of inpatient programs. The Ridge is absolutely the best!! Every single staff member there cares about their jobs. You can tell they really want to make a difference for those struggling with… addiction. A lot of them have a history with addiction, or have been affected by a family member. The nurses, recovery support specialists, clinicians, medical navigators, medical providers, case managers, CSR’s, kitchen staff, and cleaning crew all deserve recognition for such a beautiful program. They worked for months to build a curriculum that consists of meditation, yoga, acupuncture, trauma therapy, processing, art, nature walks, fitness (there’s a gym), sound therapy, DBT, CBT, etc. You have a private room in detox as well as the inpatient floor. There are a few scheduled times per day when you can smoke. I also heard since I left they allow you to access your cellphone for 15 minutes. The food is made there, no hospital food like you have at other facilities. They also have an alumni group that has a large attendance of former clients (this alone shows this program works!) This place made me comfortable enough to actually open up. I was able to work through my deeper issues that led to my addiction. Anyone who speaks negatively about are people who are not ready to get sober. I’ve learned so many tools that have helped me so far stay sober for 95 days. All I can see is that time growing. Life is good, so many wonderful things have happened in such a short amount of time. I cannot thank my treatment team enough for everything (Angie, Jess, & Marlene) A special shout out to Nina, Jackie, Milton, and Chelsey! Thank you so much to all of the staff for being so compassionate and helping change my life! I’ll never forget what I have learned :)

An outstanding rehabilitation facility. The staff is one of the most amazing group of people I have ever met. They are kind and compassionate and ready to help at any time including after discharge. The Ridge believes… there are many paths to recovery and guides each client down the path that is right for them. The Ridge is located on beautiful grounds with ponds and walking paths through the woods. Private rooms and baths as well as great food allow you to focus full time on your recovery. Fighting addiction is difficult but the staff and the facility will ease the journey.
