Hiring Ingham Tiffany after her disgusting malpractice suit is horrible. Do not trust this hospital
Stay far away from this hospital was assaulted why was impatient by a staff member and then discharge before my treatment was even completed I will be speaking to a lawyer what they did wasn’t right
Friendly and helpful.
Did you know that St. Luke's Lehighton Hospital Campus has a Carbon County Veteran Services Officer (VSO) that will help you with your military records and obtaining VA healthcare benefits? I was hesitant to make an… appointment, but making the appointment was easy and I was helped on time and with care and professionalism.
Edit: went from 1 star to 3 because they resolved my issue. The procedure itself was fine. The billing was stressful. My full experience: - Get referred for at-home sleep study here by a sleep doctor - Do the study.… Receive bill for $1400. Insurance was billed $4,000 - I ask ChatGPT for help. It says a normal price is ~$100-500 and many clinics have a self-pay price and will offer it to patients if you just ask - I call Billing. They say they don't think they can do anything...but I can _try_ to call the "price checker" line - Price checker isn't open 'til weekdays, so in the meantime I google it. Tuns out the self-pay price was ~$250... but no way to select it online. I leave a nasty review - On Monday, the price checker folks check with supervisor and _do_ reduce the bill to the self-pay rate. I appreciate this, but made it clear they were doing me "a big favor," and the price checker/self-pay is only available if you opt in _before_ you go in for the procedure. - Later on Monday, someone from reputation management calls me b/c of the negative review and I let them know it's been resolved and I'll update it. ------ I guess it ended ok? But still seems silly that a patient could be charged ~6x more because they didn't know to look for an opt-in billing service that nobody ever told them about. A 5-star business would have seen the appointment on my schedule, checked the self-pay & insurance prices, and helped me understand the tradeoffs (self-pay would be _much_ cheaper, but won't count towards deductible). Lesson learned I suppose. Advice for anyone w/ a scheduled procedure here: - Call _before_ your appointment and ask which CPT codes they're going to charge - Google "St. Luke's price checker" and look those up. See what it costs out of pocket - Ask how much it would cost via insurance (I don't know whether St Luke's or the insurance company would know this) Then you'll actually have the info you need to compare prices and decide how you want to bill. For people like me with cheap/high deductible insurance, the self-pay was _much_ cheaper.
Why say open till 8 and already closed at 3? Very confused Did their clocks go Crazee? That's the second time , go elsewhere. Change hours online.. ....
Quality Medical & Dental Care
Went there 2/25 at 2:35 pm with a head contusion and bleeding from falling, we informed the receptionist I was bleeding and could have a head injury, she told me to take a seat they would get with me as soon as they… could, at 3:30 I told my wife it’s time to go I’m not waiting anymore, that was my first and last time there.
They hired Tiffany Ingram so you know it’s not a good hospital
Walk-in Psych. center - awesome staff, great ambience, non-threatening. Although they advertise that only Pike, Monroe and Carbon county residents can use the service they will help anyone in any county age 14 and over… - Highly suggest!
Funny. When this hospital opened I was thrilled because we had the hospital shut down in Palmerton. We had gone a few times, taken right back, little traffic, kind bed side manners. Today my husband was sent by his Dr… for shoulder/neck pain... they took him back and told him to sit back out in the waiting room until the next nurse came on. 2 hours later, still nothing. There were others that came in and taken back. I understand others may be sick and cannot sit out in the waiting room, or possibly other emergencies would trump an injury- but BE HONEST. It is during the day, time away from work to sit with no response. What happened to customer service, customer satisfaction, or having empathy. NO ONE truly wants to just go to the hospital and sit there all day, especially ones that put off going and finally reach the courage to do so. Keep up with the hospitality and you'll keep getting these reviews. Anderson Campus is bigger and has a better reputation. Not that hard to give answers, goes a long way.
Treats my cousin horribly things he just wants drugs but he has severe stomach problems and came to you for help and you dissed him better get better staff not everyone puts up with jerks
It is the care my sister receives in the behavioral health unit.
I took a friend to the ER after her family doctor said to take her asap. I took her there at 12:30 and we were the only ones in the waiting room. We didn't wait too long before we were taken back. She was assessed and… an iv was put in. They also put a gown on her and asked if she was cold. She said yes and the nurse said twice that he would bring a blanket. As of the time of discharge at 5:00, there was no blanket. Also she was given fluids and a couple times they commented why it was running so slow. Around 4:00 they checked her arm and saw the fluids were not going in her vein but under the skin. The top of her arm was huge! Also the doctor never said there was fluid on her lungs which I would think would be a reason to be admitted. The nurse told us the x-rays were good. 2 days later she is back in the ER and I sure hope the doctor admits her.
It's the closest hospital to me. The best time to go is about 9pm.
Change time on here, place is not 24 hours
Moved to 500 st Luke’s drive wiessport
Ended up in the ER here due to an auto accident. I was an hour from home and was never here before. They were awesome in the ER. I was taken immediately to a room and a doctor came right in. Very kind , friendly and… efficient. Had several tests and all staff including the registration person were super friendly. The doctor was in and out several times explained everything in detail. I was definitely in good hands. I would definitely recommend this facility for the great care they provided and the friendly helpful staff.
My mom was taken to ER while I was on vacation. 77 rings with 7 calls and no answer. She is unable to speak. This is not ok Last time she was in the ER the girl complained about getting a bed pan for her. This is not… the care that I associated with St Luke's in the past, but it seems like your care is not getting any better, its declining.
If this is the old one they are referring to its awesome they turned some of it into a mental health place. Thats amazing and truly needed for this community.
The nurses there are great, without a doubt. They are known to be the hardest working people in all hospitals, and they usually do it without much thanks. The problem is that St. Luke's is ridiculously overpriced, even… with insurance. In what universe would it cost $4,000 for an X-ray and one shot in the arm, a muscle relaxant by the way. My child had some chest pains, turned out to be strong muscle spasms, and I felt that he needed to be looked at by a doctor sooner than later because it is not wise to gamble on a life. So, I take my child there and we were honored by being able to sit on a bed in the hallway next to the nurse's station and allowed to wait for almost 3 hours before we could finally leave. Mind you, this wait had nothing to do with anybody waiting for test results. The majority of it was waiting to see the doctor and then waiting for a shot. Very little time was waiting for the X-ray since nowadays they come back very quickly. The total charges came out to $4,090.08. How can anybody justify that much money for so little work? This is the kind of thing that makes people have to literally weigh their options of life and death as they decide whether or not they can afford to pay a bill. And no, I don't want a response. I want some of my money refunded since it was hardly worth it.
Great communication with both the patient and patients family.
Roxann Strohl was very rude for no reason.
The new hospital is beautiful. But it’s terrible when there are so many horror stories about a hospital that people who NEED treatment refuse to go there. I read a review that mirrors our experience. A family member was… taken by ambulance to the ER after having been found unresponsive. 3 days … not in the ER but in the hallway of the ER! And this seems to be a common occurrence. No one we’ve talked to has had a good experience there. But something we all seem to agree on is how wonderful the nurses are. What good is having a beautiful new hospital when it’s a horror when you trust them to treat you? Yes, covid has caused problems but it’s caused problems all over the place. And people trust that.when they’re in need of treatment they’ll get it! I thought that when the new hospital opened many of the problems we had at the old hospital would be resolved. It hasn’t happened. Another.complaint I’ve heard is that the handicapped parking is so far away from the entrance. But, hey… the building looks good,,,, there’s that at least
