Horrible experiences I would recommend you seek out alternative sources scout all your options before you settle for this place
Let me start by saying I loved my therapist, she was great however the “policy” is disgusting. 1 star I would give 0 if I could. I didn’t show up to 2 appointments due to my anxiety/depression keeping me bed ridden &… not able to make phone calls, which was presented to my therapist beforehand. On medications that suicidal thoughts/tendencies are a side effect. When I finally can make a phone call & in need of service they deny me to see her blacklisted to a “same day” appointment which she has none. When you build rapport with someone you go to them not pushed to another person who doesn’t know you & gives even more anxiety to see a stranger. I feel as though I’m punished for my mental health rather than being helped. Imagine because of the thoughts I need to tell someone I’m comfortable with & I don’t have an outlet or guidance I kms.. terrible terrible “policy” wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who actually needs any guidance you’re better off getting 1 good friend & some YouTube meditation videos than you are wasting your time going here.
Good positive place…..There feed back is great they way they communicate in person & through text messages (appointments)Highly recommend this place. My only suggestion is if your scheduled at a time you shouldn’t have… to wait til ten minutes after that to be seen.Is that being lil picky yes…but this is set up on my lunch break.Other than that keep up the great work making are community a better place.
Would NOT recommend to anyone. My counselor from there who was also the director, that I had been seeing for MONTHS, went GHOST on me. No phone calls, text, emails. Nothing. Knowing I was extremely suicidal at the time… at that moment. Mandy Bishop is her name. Shame on her and this company for allowing it. I absolutely felt betrayed, lied to, abandoned, every emotion basically. I truly thought I had found the counselor for me. WRONG
I think SOCC has been very helpful and has good counselors who put their time into helping their clients. I'm a lot better now than I was when I first came here, and I'm still not quite where I want to be yet, but I'm… optimistic that I will be soon, and my counselor is helping a lot with that and they will also have two new case managers soon.
I'm a new client and getting scheduled and established here was so seamless and professional. I'm impressed with my counselor and hope to make a lot of progress!
This was by far the worst counseling experience I have ever received; I have never seen this level of unprofessionalism before. I highly recommend that you do not use South Eastern Counseling Center if you want your… privacy respected. If you’re interested is having your information falsely represented then this is the counseling center for you!
Wonderful counseling and therapists who truly care and listen!
