The Horsham Clinic – Ambler Detox and Rehab Services

The Horsham Clinic – Ambler appears on the register for partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Ask directly about session times and frequency, as those details decide whether someone can realistically attend.

The Horsham Clinic – Ambler Address, Location and Contact Information

Records give the address as 722 East Butler Pike, Ambler, Pennsylvania, 19002. Montgomery County covers this area. Provision extends to the wider area, so check the journey before you set off. Journey time and parking are not trivial details when treatment runs several times a week over months.

Phone ahead about parking, access and what the first appointment covers. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

I stayed in STAT3. They were right about it being the best. I was housed with mostly my gender (female). Had group therapy around 6 times a day and have a week or more turn around rate. Day time is 8am-10pm. I enjoyed… the art classes most due to creative freedom. Despite it being very chilly, the bedding was pretty comfortable. Food was on hospital level, gluten free choices and various options. I thought it was delicious! Our unit gave us snacks and that was a highlight. Family visits are twice a week. I was on medication management and got put on new meds, though were denied my vitamins till a week in. Twice or three times a day if lucky we were allowed outside in the sun or to sit on a bench. The showers have proper temperature and they allow toiletries as long as theres no alcohol. We were allowed phone calls after group. Their communication with family could use great improvement. And if you plan on going bring ALOT to do, gets boring. I’d like to shout out my favorite staff members. Jackie, Darell “Troy”, Michael. Marcell, Sophie (She gave us coloring sheets), Maria, Eric, Cale, Chandral, and both Laurens (staff and music). Thank you for not being a horror story

As a neurodivergent female going through a divorce, I was misdiagnosed as a bipolar disorder in active severe maniac phase. The diagnosis was not revised despite talking to another clinician and explaining to everybody… that my screeners for autistic traits demonstrate extremely high scores; and that I came to the clinic for the formal diagnosis. It was a cruel, inappropriate setting where I couldn’t self regulate with inappropriate evaluation process ( no formal measures) and absolutely no patient centered care. I now have to fight this misdiagnosis and have submitted he complaints to the department of health and the board. I would have never gone there had I know what would transpire.

“Because they are adults” seems to be the favorite response given to family members who call to establish some type of safeguard when a patient is using the phone from inside the Ambler, PA location to harass or… threaten family members. My experience with this establishment has been extremely disappointing. I have called multiple times, left a voicemail, and sent an email to Ashley Needles, yet I received no response at all. When I called again today, 9/1/26, to follow up, I was met with poor customer service and rudeness. While speaking with the male charge nurse, he was chewing while talking in my ear and speaking loudly to someone in the background before saying, “Sorry, hold on. I’ll be right with you.” He then repeated that “they are adults” and that they do not monitor phone calls. I understand that patients are adults, but that response does not address the concerns of family members who are being harassed or threatened and are simply trying to bring the situation to the attention of the appropriate staff. The level of customer service I experienced was unacceptable. It is concerning when family members cannot get a response to serious concerns, especially after multiple attempts to communicate. Based on my experience, this establishment has demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism, communication, and concern. I sincerely hope the patients receiving treatment are being given the care, attention, and support they truly deserve.

Came in the clinic periodically depressed with good grades and good future, came out literally unable to function. The place is terrible on so many levels, the staff treats patients in the adolescent unit (depressed… teenagers) like serial killers, there is a complete loss of autonomy when you are put in inpatient, sometimes you aren't even given the privilege to stand up, and the therapy itself is genuinely useless. The "therapy" is often coloring sheets and trivia. Doesn't help that the rules to leave the place are meant to keep you in and I had to stay for way longer than necessary. Overall its pretty obvious that the place is a storage container for teens to stop them from hurting themselves and others rather than a hospital. Oh yeah, and my roommate literally assaulted the same low functioning special needs kid twice, once by soaking the poor guy in orange juice and the special needs kid was the one tackled to the ground by 6 security guards. IN the end my roommate was only transferred to another unit because my other roomate and I reported that he had literally made a shank out of a toothbrush and was telling us about his plans to stab somone

I had a very positive experience with the behavioral healthcare team at the hospital. The staff were compassionate, respectful, patient, and truly listened to my concerns. They made me feel supported and treated me with… dignity during a difficult time. I appreciate the care, understanding, and professionalism shown by everyone involved. I would definitely recommend their behavioral healthcare services to anyone who needs support.

Terrible place! They drug you up that you are a zombie, if you do not eat what they give you, you starve! They treat you like a prisoner, it was hell when I was younger. Anything you bring in, they throw out and do not… get back. Very traumatizing and hope they get shut down!! I still have nightmares about this place! Good luck making friends, I watched as anyone I made friends with disappear and come back with no emotions, no energy, nothing! Also, when I was in a child, they do a full search of you when you go in and leave and you guts refused to let me go until our insurance refused to pay for more hell! If anyone goes here, have child evaluated before and after and make sure you got a lawyer! *Added: I will not contact you guys and consider this fair warning, I do not want to be contacted nor reached out too and goes for my family aa well. Any contact to us will be considered harassment, thank you!

I am Bashan J. I was taken to the inpatient unit unexpectedly from the outpatient partial program. I am going to sum up my trauma that I experienced at the hands of a Social Worker, "MARIANNE" BUILDING 4 STAT 1.… MARIANNE IS A LIAR, NOT A PERSON OF HER WORD, BEHAVED TERIBLY TOWARDS ME AND THREATENED ME NOT TO PISS HER OFF........ I HAVE FILED A FULL-BLOWN GRIEVANCE AGAINST MARIANNE. SHE CAUSED ME TO BECOME MEDICALLY ILL WITH A BLOOD PRESSURE OF 199/117. I WANT HER REPRIMANDED AND An APOLOGY FOR HER UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR! LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS

Very great employees at this free facility. If you need time to fix your self or reset maybe tired of living a negative life in anyway this place is the place to get the help you deserve and need. If your willing to be… positive and determine to change this is the go to place. I've been through many different facilities and this one is the only one that made me feel like people do care. Food is great, counseling is understandable, groups are very intense and employees are very motivated to help you in any way. If you need help don't be scared to go get it. You are not alone.

My daughter was here for 16 days. After reading the reviews i was terrified to send her. The administrator reassured me she will be well taken care of. The doctor, nurses and case worker where amazing. Everytime i… called with a question or concern they would get back to me right away. The staff was friendly to. The only thing I dont like is there is no transportation for partial we live 25 min away and thats "to far". Horsham clinic is what you make out of the program.

So I am giving this place a 3 because there is good and bad out of my experience.I really liked how If u were on level you could go walk outside and go get lunch and dinner and hang out side the food was so amazing.some… some of the staff were very rude but others were really great.I did not really like the therapy there I feel as tho it did not help me.I did not like how in the morning when we woke up that’s it no naps nothing if u wanted to take a nap it had to be on the floor my meds made me super tired the only thing I look forward was bed time cause I could sleep.I did not also like how I turned 18 they did not let me sighn my self out to go with my boyfriend (BTW we are still together for the people that did not believe in us).It was a whole tassel to leave.I did not even need to be there before I had turned 18 I was ready to go.My mom did not want me.So they had to wait for CYS to get involved.Idk it was just crazy to me.Its not a bad program I mean it had its moments were I’m like dude I would only recommend this place if u don’t need it.I mean my words really don’t matter it’s not like it’s gonna change but that was just my experience here

They are totally night n day compared to Fairmount that is owned by UHS. Horsham staff is superbly patient and attentive to patients needs and safety is always considered, opposite of Fairmount. The only problem I see… with Horsham is, patients who are transported in facility vans aren't aware that the insurance doesn't cover them in case of uninsured drivers. Patients who are transported should be aware of coverages and risks associated with being in these vehicles. They provide the worst insurance for both passengers and employees. Gotta do ur homework people.

2 star review bc 1 stars can be deleted. I was physically abused here by a staff member in the adolescent unit in 1998. He said I disrespected him, so he made me lay down on the bed in the seclusion room and bent my… ankles until my toes touch by back. Then put all his weight on my feet for extra leverage. I was then tied down to the seclusion room bed and deprived of food, water and bathroom for 2 days. I was 12. I was non violent. There was no reason for this treatment. But they had good peach pie. Actually the food was pretty good. But this wasn't an isolated incident. Of course I tried to call my parents and tell them what happened. But the staff were proactive and called them ahead of time to tell them I was manipulating my program and I would try to manipulate them too. You know, the typical line of bs these places feed parents to protect themselves. When I made the call, the second they heard me talking about the abuse, my call was cut off. That's how it worked back then. And no this isn't about money, statute of limitations expired a long time ago. I'm just trying to help get my story out there bc it wasn't the only facility I was abused in and I'm ready to start talking about it. Research programs before sending your loved ones into "the troubled teen industry" or MHMR facilities. Make sure there are no allegations or open cases for abuse. Which Horsham Clinic is currently involved in Sexual Assualt lawsuits. Google can be your best friend in this kind of research.

was here for like 6 days it was an absolute nightmare!! the first day I got there it was at like 10 pm and several kids were being detained for making shanks out of markers and trying to stab people (I was in there for… suicidal ideation, I am harmless lol) I was 13 and roomed with 2 twelve year olds in a cramped room, one in there for allegedly stabbing her own father!! I had a bad phone call and was crying and instead of being helped I was tackled by like 4 six foot men and pinned to the floor to the point of me having bruises all over my arms and the nurses tried to blame it on me “hitting the wall” (there were fingerprints) as an extremely depressed 5 foot 100 lb 13 year old girl! I can very very safely say this place made me so much worse and gave me more trauma than I arrived with literally go anywhere but here the only positive thing I can say is that the food is pretty good

Rude staff and very short tempered yet they are there to support people and help them? Tried talking to my wife, who was forced to go here by being 302 or forcing her to sign a 201. Either way they want her for tax… dollars not to help. I will be filing a complaint with the civil rights department. Start hiring people that actually care about helping others with mental health then a paycheck. Also whoever is at the front desk at 6:30pm today thrusday 4th is extremely rude. All we wanted to do was talk to my wife which she was stripped away from us and especially my son who is on the spectrum and 2 years old. I was trying to ask her a question and she hanged up on me. Very concerning for my wife’s care here if this was the first interaction. Please keep God first and find another outlet then this establishment.

I am grateful for the doctors, nurses and staff at Horsham Clinic. I was in there for 11 days and was able to get to a point of stabilization. I would say the only negatives are the lights being on all night had a hard… time sleeping and not going outdoors enough. But overall it was what I needed to get me to a better place. They also put a lot of effort into your after care.
