Very rude and disrespectful. They then come on here to try and deny any allegations instead of trying to fix the problems. What they don't realize is that it only makes them look more unprofessional than being… respectful and asking how they can fix the issue would. Very pathetic service. Update: I didn't remember writing this review at first but then it quickly came back to me, and seeing the way the owner replies to negative reviews (one in particular where they spoke openly about an interaction with a patient which is incredibly unprofessional and quite likely a violation of HIPAA regulations) and the clear need to blame patients for their lack of professionalism is very telling. Stay very far away. Also, in reply to the owners reply to my own review, if I was or wasn't a client shouldn't even be in your reply. That's confidential. Plus I allowed my wife to write the original review from my account so you people would be unable to retaliate towards her. Learn some professionalism and maybe learn HIPAA regulations. Whoever is running this place should never been in a management role anywhere.

Would recommend them over Care Clinics any day— very nice and easy to schedule an appointment.

It took a little over a week for them to first get in touch, but genuine apology was expressed and it seemed like unique circumstances. The evaluation process with Shelley was along the lines of what I expected. Having… given thorough histories for other reasons before, I did not find it to be overly invasive. Thorough, not overly time- consuming. Fact- focused, not judgmental. At the end of the evaluation, I was told it may take a week to hear anything. It took longer, but I've my attorney reached out to remind Tools For Life, the response was prompt. Can't give five stars yet because I am still waiting for the last phase of this process to be completed, but so far good people to work with.

Steve helped my daughter with the early intervention counseling program. He made the program relatable to her situation and really helped her understand the outside influences. She successfully completed the program and… is still making the right choices and cutting people off that can effect her sobriety.

TFL is a godsend for those with the motivation, intelligence, and patience to listen and learn. Our family couldn't be more grateful for Steven Fiorito's wisdom, understanding, empathy, tough love, and guidance.

Tools For Life is doing a very good job in a very challenging field. Most folks who need this are doing so for issues that are related to the courts and/or criminal justice. There is a great need for this!

I am appalled by the lack of professionalism at this establishment. I called today to review my assessment with Steve and he behaved like an untreated addict with no anger management skills. He called me a liar as he… spoke over me, constantly interrupted and belittled me as a member of a 12 step program. There is no way I could ever believe this is a good service for continued sobriety and serenity. Sheryl at the front counter was not particularly helpful either and certainly not a model for recovery. My opinion, do not help fund this business as the money will only go towards half true paperwork and miserable treatment. I cannot believe Steve is a certified anger management counselor! Definitely look closely. He is not qualified in any way. Not even a one star review if I could help it.

This place is pathetic. A sorry excuse for a treatment center. The counselor needs anger management and needs to go to charm school.

This place is great if you want to save money but terrible if actually need help. The counselor is a"former" heroin addict and miserable human being, he cares not about helping people and focuses on criticizing clients… in group sessions.

Rude and unprofessional.

A very well established place. Steven Fiorito has been one of the best counselors I have ever come across and I have come across many counselors over the past 11 years. Steven is very knowledgeable and if you give the… program a chance, it will set you up in the right direction towards recovery. I very highly recommend Tools For Life!

This place is very bad and unprofessional.

I highly recommend Tools for Life as a treatment facility for alcohol and drug abuse or addiction. I'm an attorney practicing in the area of driver's license revocation, mostly due to DUI arrests and convictions. My… clients are typically required to complete a treatment program in order to get their driver's license reinstated. I try to refer as many clients as possible to Tools for Life because the owners Shelley and Steve do everything possible to make the treatment experience effective, interesting, and fun. Even my clients that live quite a distance from Tools for Life tell me it was worth it for the little bit of inconvenience getting to and from Tools for Life. Helpful service

Honestly you get everything you came there for, and more! Shelly and Steve are the most professional people I’ve ever met and they do their jobs period! I highly recommend this place for any court / traffic related… offenses. Shelly is very helpful and Steve is by the book lol! You learn and grow so much! Thank you guys!

Shelley at the aurora location is amazing, she got me in right away, educated me, did my evaluation, if I have a question I can call her etc. Due to the holidays it has been difficult for me to pick up my paperwork,… between their hours and me working.... they closed early one day and I called the Naperville location and I spoke to the most nasty rude individual! He was talking over me claiming he has been there 12 years and said nobody would say I can stop by to pick up paperwork. That everything is by appointment which I was told otherwise, i hung up on him WHEN HE STARTED YELLING AT ME my boyfriend was in the car and heard it and was disgusted also and I felt it was unprofessional. I give Shelley 5 stars and this 'man' 1

A little old fashioned, but sensible and effective counseling/therapy for those who want help (or are "encouraged" to seek help). Honestly, most of these types of services are rather poorly managed and way overpriced,… so if you need the counseling (for you or the state), this place is your best bet by far (from experience, especially in aurora).

I can't begin to say how happy I am with the services of Tools For Life. Shelley and especially Steve literally saved my life! I highly recommend their services, as their expertise is very professional and affordable.… Also, the professional certification is valued highly from the many sources that necessitate hiring Tools For Life. I, therefore, give the full five stars based on skill and competence.

Counselor are not professional and very disrespectful. I would not recommend this place to somebody.
