Turning Point Clinic – Baltimore Detox and Rehab Services

Turning Point Clinic – Baltimore carries a listing for intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

I was a patient here for two years. If you're serious about sobriety, this is not the place for you. They used to pay people $20 the day they become a patient, and another $20 after the first 30 days, if you have… attended the clinic all 30 days. People who were too broke to buy dope would sign up and get their $20, go get high, and never come back. In my case, my counselor provided a family member with my drug test results (at the time I was still actively using), after I SPECIFICALLY told her that this family member was manipulative and would drag information out of her. This was a clear cut HIPAA violation, and when I told her that I was going to report her, she immediately assigned me a another counselor, telling them that my "schedule conflicted with theirs". I didn't have a job at the time. If you are SERIOUS about sobriety, go to SHARP at Sinai hospital. They truly care, and I have been sober for 5 years thanks to them.

I have been a client here since 2007. My experience has been good. I used to pay out of pocket until 2015 when I resigned a dead end job. The owner kept me on for 6 months free of charge until I got insurance. The… counselor I have now is great and truly cares. If you are new and aren't transferring bottles you will get weekends off.

The program use to have great services but now is run by people who leave people out in the street to die. There is no structure and the doctor is disrespectful and rude to everybody, her and her staff are disrespectful… to clients and take advantage of people sickness. I refuse to become a product of their compassion, I keep Allah God first and foremost.

Dr. Bolaij Olubula is a very ignorant doctor with no regard for her patients health. What I just experienced at this place was crass and unusual. I do not know how she feels justified in her actions but putting people… out because they disagree and are upset that you haven’t done your job properly is an issue. Now I don’t get my medicine and I have to look elsewhere. That’s a problem. Not for me, but for this establishment. This doctor does not have the patience to deal with addicts and it’s part of her job. And I will also be posting a review with the Maryland Board of Physicians. Thank you for listening. I recommend you go somewhere else if you need help.

Not a goods place to go if you are serious about sobriety. The place is a real zoo, drug market right outside the door. People sell there met [spitback] pills and all other drugs literally outside the door. They offer… no addiction education or support. Groups are given as a penalty. They use to pay you for joining there clinic until the big dogs found out...

2 years clean because this program helped me. Go get dosed and go home. I don t worry about no one but me. You can't hang around there and stay clean. Be strong enough to walk away. I will say that i started this… program when Ms Elaine was there and she listened to the clients but now they have a nurse practitioner that will not listen and says" im too busy to deal with this right now" i plan to transfer to another clinic because she is uneducated and so is her staff My counselor tells me one thing and the nurse practitioner will tell you something else. Be on guard with this program. The nurse practitioner is about making money and not helping people stay sober But i will say i have worked will a few counselors that do listen and do try to help you
