Why Trust RehabSeekers.com?

RehabSeekers is an independent behavioral health directory covering drug and alcohol addiction and mental health treatment providers.

Every listing has a source: an official register, a licensing record, or details the facility sent us.

Credentials shown honestly. Accreditation, licensing and registration listed separately.

Reviews shown exactly as written. Never edited, never removed because a facility asked.

No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Contact details always go direct. Calls reach the facility itself, never a call centre.

Common questions

Answered from what is listed here.

Is Devon Health an insurance company?

No, Devon Health Services is a preferred provider organization network rather than an insurer. Based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, it leased discounted provider contracts to employer groups, third-party administrators and insurance carriers. The employer plan or carrier behind your card sets the benefits and pays the claims.

An ID card may show the Devon name as the network while a third-party administrator handles authorization, claims and member questions.

Private Insurance Acceptedhttps://rehabseekers.com/insurance-accepted/private-insurance-accepted/
Does Devon Health cover rehab?

No, not the way an insurer does. Devon Health is a leased network, so coverage for detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, IOP or medication treatment comes from the employer plan or carrier behind it. A Devon contract only means a provider accepts pre-negotiated discounted rates.

Ask the administrator named on your card about the substance use benefit, then ask the program whether it still works with the Devon network.

Private Insurance Acceptedhttps://rehabseekers.com/insurance-accepted/private-insurance-accepted/
Does Devon Health cover detox?

Yes, when the plan behind the network covers it. Devon Health sets no benefits of its own; the employer plan or insurer decides whether medical detox is covered and at what level. The Devon contract lowers the allowed amount at a contracted provider, which reduces what cost sharing is based on.

Call the administrator on your ID card before admission to ask about detox benefits, any authorization requirement and whether the facility is still contracted.

Devon Health is not an insurance company. Devon Health Services, Inc. of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania is a rental PPO network: it signed direct contracts with hospitals, physicians and ancillary providers, then leased those discounted rates to employer groups, third-party administrators and insurance carriers. The name on a card or on a treatment program’s payment list points to a discount arrangement, not to a benefit.

That distinction decides who answers every question about rehab. The employer plan or carrier behind the card writes the benefit, runs utilization review and pays the claim. Devon supplied the contracted rate, and the network itself has changed hands repeatedly: GFAR Health Services, LLC held it from May 5, 2016, TRPN Direct Pay, Inc. acquired the network contracts on September 18, 2018, Premier, Inc.’s subsidiary Contigo Health, LLC bought the combined TRPN and Devon contracts for $177.5 million in a deal that closed October 13, 2022, and Contigo sold that wrap network business to Direct Pay AG on January 16, 2025 for $15.0 million.

The guide below covers what a Devon Health network contract does and does not do for addiction treatment, who decides authorization and length of stay, how the discount affects what a stay costs, how medication is paid for, and how to find a program when the network publishes no provider search of its own.
