Group Resources (GRI)

Rehabs That Take Group Resources (GRI)

Group Resources Inc. (GRI) is a third-party administrator that handles claims and administration for self-funded employer health plans. GRI does not set benefits; the employer does. Coverage for drug and alcohol treatment is common in employer plans, but it varies by plan design, the provider network attached to the plan and the level of care.

Louisiana centers on this page mention GRI on their websites. The member ID card should show both the plan and the network. Before admission, call the facility and the number on the card to check network status, prior authorization or precertification for the level of care needed, and the member’s expected share of costs.

Why Trust RehabSeekers.com?

RehabSeekers is an independent behavioral health directory covering drug and alcohol addiction and mental health treatment providers.

Every listing has a source: an official register, a licensing record, or details the facility sent us.

Credentials shown honestly. Accreditation, licensing and registration listed separately.

Reviews shown exactly as written. Never edited, never removed because a facility asked.

No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Contact details always go direct. Calls reach the facility itself, never a call centre.

Common questions

Answered from what is listed here.

Does Group Resources cover drug and alcohol rehab?

Yes, when the employer's plan includes substance use treatment. Group Resources is a third-party administrator, not an insurer, so the employer that owns the plan sets the benefits, the network and the cost sharing. The plan document, or the member services number on the ID card, gives the actual rehab coverage.

Group Resources has handled claims since 1981 and can be reached at (770) 813-8474 or toll-free (888) 620-1297.

Private Insurance Acceptedhttps://rehabseekers.com/insurance-accepted/private-insurance-accepted/
Is Group Resources an insurance company?

No, Group Resources Incorporated is a third-party administrator based in Duluth, Georgia, that processes claims and manages medical spend for employers' self-funded health plans. It does not sell insurance or set benefit levels; each employer client decides what its plan covers, including treatment for substance use.

Its stated clients include large public corporations, small private companies, hospitals, municipalities and school districts, with claims services dating to 1981.

Private Insurance Acceptedhttps://rehabseekers.com/insurance-accepted/private-insurance-accepted/
Does Group Resources cover detox?

Yes, if the employer's plan covers medically supervised withdrawal management. Group Resources processes the claim against that plan document rather than setting the benefit, so covered days, facility network and member share all come from the employer's design. No published Group Resources detox policy exists.

Before admission, call the number on the member ID card to ask about precertification for the level of care and the expected out-of-pocket cost.

Group Resources Incorporated, usually shortened to GRI, is a third-party administrator based in Duluth, Georgia that handles claims and benefit administration for employers that fund their own health plans. It is not an insurance company. The coverage printed on the card belongs to the employer’s plan; GRI is the office that processes eligibility, pays the claim and answers the phone.

That distinction decides how addiction treatment gets paid for. Two employers can both use Group Resources and have different rules on residential treatment, different deductibles and different rented provider networks, because each employer writes its own plan document. GRI has provided claims services since 1981 and lists clients including large public corporations, small private companies, hospitals, municipalities and school districts, each with its own benefit design.

This guide covers how substance use treatment is handled on a GRI-administered plan, which levels of care an employer plan usually pays for, where precertification applies, what a stay costs before coverage is applied, how medication is paid for, and how to work out which programs sit inside the network attached to the card.
