Rehabs That Take Integra

Integra is a name given by treatment centers in Maryland and New York for a health plan or benefits organization. Coverage for drug and alcohol treatment may be possible, varying by plan, network and level of care.Several organizations use the Integra name, so the first step is to find out which one your coverage comes from. Look at your member card, then call the number printed on it and ask whether addiction treatment is covered. Next, contact the facility, since each listed center names Integra on its own website. Ask about network status, prior authorization, referral rules and your likely out-of-pocket cost before admission.

Common questions

Answered from what is listed here.

What is Integra insurance?

Integra Managed Care, also called Integra MLTC, was a New York Medicaid managed long-term care plan for adults with long-term disabilities and care needs. It served about 40,000 members across the five boroughs of New York City plus Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties, focusing on care at home.

Anthem bought the plan in May 2022, and its members now sit in Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield HP Managed Long-Term Care.

Medicaid Rehabhttps://rehabseekers.com/insurance-accepted/medicaid/
Who owns Integra Managed Care?

Anthem, Inc., now Elevance Health, owns it. The acquisition was announced on November 10, 2021 and completed in early May 2022, when Integra associates joined Anthem's Government Business Division. Before that, Integra was a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of Personal Touch Holding Corporation.

Elevance Health is a for-profit company based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and carried the name Anthem, Inc. until it announced the rename in June 2022.

Does Integra still exist?

No, not as a separate plan. New York's Department of Health says Integra MLTC merged with other managed long-term care organizations in 2022, and no plan named Integra appears in the state's April 2026 MLTC directory. Its old enrollment line now reaches Anthem.

The legacy Integra website still loads and shows the phone number 1-855-800-4683 (TTY 711), with no owner named and no closure notice posted anywhere on it.

Integra Managed Care, filed with the state as Integra MLTC, Inc., was a New York Medicaid managed long-term care plan for adults with long-term disabilities, serving the five boroughs of New York City plus Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties. Anthem acquired it in May 2022 and merged it into its own managed long-term care plan, so an Integra card today points to a benefit now run as Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield HP Managed Long-Term Care.

For addiction treatment, the detail that decides everything is what this kind of plan was built to pay for. Integra was a partial-capitation MLTC plan, which means it bought home-based long-term care: home health and personal care, CDPAP, nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapy, adult day health care, dental, transportation, meals, equipment and nursing home care. Inpatient hospital care and the Medicaid category titled “Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services” sit outside that package and are billed to regular Medicaid, or to Medicare for a dual-eligible enrollee.

So the question is never whether Integra will approve rehab; it is which card pays and who arranges it. This guide covers how each level of care is funded, where prior authorization applies and where it does not, what an admission costs, how addiction medication is paid for, and how to find a New York program that works with the Medicaid benefit sitting behind an Integra card.
