Appalachian Community Care – Pikeville

While the therapist and psychiatrist at Appalachian Community Care are great and provide excellent care, my experience dealing with the front desk in the Pikeville office over the phone was incredibly disappointing. The… receptionist, H., was very rude and unprofessional. The clinic made a scheduling error, which H. immediately blamed on the "new girl" instead of taking accountability. To make matters worse, she acted like she was doing me a massive favor just by allowing me to be seen at my scheduled time. When I simply pointed out over the phone that the clinic had made the appointment and not me, she snapped and stated, "we are accommodating you so there's no need to be rude." Pointing out a mistake is not being rude, but her defensive and condescending attitude certainly was. It is a shame that such wonderful clinical providers are overshadowed by a complete lack of empathy and basic customer service from the front desk staff answering the phones.

The worse place other than MCCC for mental health care. You go for help and have them terrorize you! Make sure not to talk about your problems they will broadcast it across the county and make it worse. Yes I am taking… them to court!!

I love everyone who works there. They ate super helpful and got my meds right as well as my daughter's. They are all awesome
