Was all fine and dandy til they started putting label on people that don’t belong and start wanting to shut you down when you tell stuff they need to hear. Terrible service since stuff change and since everything went… to hell for them it awful. Instead of referring me to another counselor at said facility refer to another place or building in Toccoa GA. I don’t have transportation for driving that far. Stupid stupid place to go. My dad of 73 years of age is right there government sucks and so does facilities like this. They label me as a substance abuser when I don’t used any substance anyways. I give 0 star review

Usually everything is fine when I go, even with my mom getting me diagnosed with shit that I don’t feel was correct. This time was different though, if you’re tired that’s fine, I am too bro. 🤷‍♀️ idk left a bad taste… in my mouth towards therapy this time guys.

You shouldnt use bias to discriminate trans people while taking blood samples. You must disinfect the needle before taking blood. You must avoid harrassment and bulling in the facility as mental health can be… compromised. Thank you for the painfull experience. My life matters too 😉

I’ve been bringing my son to Avita for years, and he’s worked with several different counselors. Until recently, it always felt like a struggle just to get him to go, and I honestly started to lose hope. Since he’s been… seeing Daniel, everything is different. My son actually looks forward to his sessions now, which is something I never thought I’d say. Daniel connects with him in a way no one else has, and the progress we’re seeing is real. What I appreciate most is that Daniel doesn’t just focus on my son—he involves the whole family. He challenges me too, and has helped me recognize ways I can support my son better. Because of that, our relationship feels healthier and less like a constant fight. If you’re a parent who’s been discouraged with counseling in the past, I can’t recommend Daniel enough.

Does anyone know how to get in contact with this facility? I've been calling for a week and not once has someone answered the phone, and I can't leave a voicemail to return the call because I don't have access like… that. But it seems like they just refuse to answer the phone

I had a good positive experience. Mindie was nice and outgoing. I was able to get an appointment in a rational manner on the scheduling without having to wait too long. The front staff, although busy, were courteous and… respectful.

Your insurance will be a problem. Probably better to just cough up a big wad of cash

Two stars for the front staff, five for my therapist. I have an ESA dog. I called to see if I could bring her. I was told yes. My dog is still in training, and barked at some people outside. I was then very rudly told,… in a very loud voice, in a waiting room full of people, that my dog needed to shut up, or I had to leave. I was then told that only therapy dogs are allowed in, not by the staff who told me I could bring her, but they told my therapist to tell me. Please tell me how that is conducive to a person who comes to a mental health facility for help, only to be embarrassed, chastised, and made to feel unwelcome. Perhaps they should pay more attention to the type of people they hire, to deal with people with mental health illnesses.
