Hands down the greatest transitional housing program in Louisville Kentucky. Saved my life
This place is awful and they do not care about your well-being or sobriety. They are very uninviting and controlling. If you want to be treated like you are a child then come here. Otherwise, there are plenty of other… programs that actually care.
Our company James Collins Ford highly recommends the Beacon House for anyone wanting a second chance to completely change their lives. For the last 8 years, we have worked closely with Russ Read (CEO) of Beacon House,… to help give those men that second or third chance. While, not always successful, the successes have been rewarding for those men who did succeed. Our company values the relationship with Beacon House, and the support they give our company, their clients and our local community.
I work in the recovery housing field and see many houses in Kentucky and across the US. Beacon House offers top notch training to its staff, life skills, support, compassion and structure. I would send a family member… there and highly recommend it.
I left sooner than i should have to say the least. That being said this place made me feel like i had a home for the first time in a long time and taught me things that will stick with me forever. I am glad that this… was a part of my journey and wish everyone well!! If you're looking for a place that's above the rest in recovery this is it!
This place is beyond just an average sober living. It is a safe haven for those in need of a spiritual healing and a excellent format to help those in need of guidance to combat a disease that many suffer but only few… seek help. I will always be grateful for the lessons and love that was shown to me here and even though I am now on my own journey I will always hold a spot in my heart for this place and what it does for others.
I am forever thankful for this place. I have almost 3 years sober. I wouldn't have made it, if not for the Beacon House. I stayed here over a year. In that time I made so many great friends that ill have for life. I… learned how to live life again, and got my life back. Thank you Willy, Russ, Ryan and all the staff for teaching me what it was like to be the real me again. I love you guys and will also ways have your back as you had mine.
The Beacon House saved my life. I have 2 1/2 years sober today!!! I came here wanting my life back but the life I have today is way better than I could have ever imagined. I went from homeless to homeowner thanks to… this place! This place will always be home!
My name is Lee Kirkpatrick and my sobriety date is May 27th 2020. I lived at the Beacon house for six months in 2020. The Beacon house is a perfect place if you are looking for accountability and encouragement under one… roof. After 2 years and 9 months I still return to the Beacon house every week for meetings and step work with men I sponsor at the house.
The Beacon house helped save my life. It provided stable housing while providing a sober supportive environment. This place helped guide me to the clinical and self help group treatment that allowed me to recover from… substance use disorder. The house also provided me with accountability and the skill set to be successful as a student, professionally, and a member of society. I was able to utilize these skills to now graduate with a masters degree in social work, be a father to two children, and a licensed clinician giving back to the same community that supported me through my substance use. I could not have dreamt of a better experience!
This place and the program of Alcoholics Anonymous helped save my life!
This Beacon House saved my life! It is a god send. Staff cares about every single person. If you are serious about sobriety this is a great place to build a foundation with a group of guys who really care for each other.
It wasn't the worst place but different I could say the least
Life changing
I recently went to tour this facility with my case management team and the support and knowledge that is provided to been looking to live a clean and sober life is outstanding. I highly recommend this residential sober… living facility.
I work in the recovery field and recently toured this facility. It is top notch. I highly recommend this facility to men looking to change their lives. It is tops on my list to send men to in my role as a discharge… coordinator at at 28-day treatment center.
Amazing, life changing, wonderfully structured facility. Saved my husband’s life. Highly recommend.
While at the beacon house for all of 5 days I was asked to leave do to mental health issues that were not treated. So I was asked to leave and was told that I would be getting back my $ 133 deposit and the $19 two days… short if 5 days. When i asked about my refund of this money I was told to do what I had to do to get the money back. Mr Russ said when I left I would be getting the money back that was owed to me now when I talked to him today 1-31-2020 he said " do what I gotta do " . Does sound like help. This place is not capable of helping anyone who is diagnosed with dual diagnosis of any kind.. Thank You Dustin Nelson.
Beacon House- Russ the executive in charge quote" Do what you gotta do" when asked for refund on deposit of $133.00 for not making it through 7 days. Due to Mental health issues. NOT A GOOD IOP PROGRAM FOR any DUAL… DIAGNOSIS treatment. No refund for being asked to leave. Have someone help you read over the agreement before you Sign.
