THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE! I was a client here until today when I was discharged FOR NO GIVEN REASON by staff or management. I was verbally threatened by another client, I did not threaten him back or retaliate. If… anything, I was concerned for my safety. It turned into a big fight between other clients. NONE OF THE INVOLVED CLIENTS GOT DISCHARGED, ONLY ME AND WHO THREATENED ME. There's staff members having SEXUAL relationships with clients in which I have proof of on my phone and the day after I reported this, I was discharged without cause. I find that to be suspicious. I will be calling lawyers. This place has cameras with audio and video. I did NOTHING wrong. In fact, a case manager accused me of yelling at her rather than being concerned for my safety after I was threatened. Don't waste your money or insurance on this place. They allow PDA, staff to have sexual relations with clients & threats to be made. I EXPOSED A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STAFF AND CLIENT, THE NEXT DAY THEY DISCHARGED ME BUT FILED IT AS AN AMA. this place is SHADY!
I tried to get admitted while having a manic attack and the man on the phone was not even trained to notice the symptoms of a manic attack. I couldn't think straight, so I kept forgetting words and had to use simpler… terms to say what I mean and he put me down and was demeaning, telling me "I don't think this is what you need" I am in a maniac attack and relapsed on a 23 year soberiety, Thank You for your service
Great place my name is Steven i was there over a month ago loved it there
Coming to Tru Healing River Bend after completing a 28-day inpatient rehab was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my recovery journey. The transition felt supportive, safe, and encouraging from the moment I arrived.… The staff here truly care about each individual and the work they do makes a real impact. Jared Neal is an incredibly experienced and valuable asset to the PHP program. He is hands down the number one group facilitator — his insight, understanding, and ability to connect with everyone in the room makes a lasting impact. The energy he brings to each session inspires growth, honesty, and hope. Jared’s guidance has played a huge role in helping me stay grounded and focused on my recovery. Julie is a wonderful therapist whose actions are always genuine and heartfelt. You can tell that every step she takes and every piece of guidance she gives comes from a place of compassion and true care. Her sessions create a space where people feel safe to open up and work through difficult emotions. Stephanie is another amazing therapist who brings a valuable mind and deep perspective to the program. Her insight and ability to understand each person’s unique story make her an essential part of the healing environment. She helps you see things from a new angle and encourages you to keep moving forward. Robin is pure love and kindness during the intake process. She genuinely cares about every person who walks through the door and brings her life experience into her work in a way that makes you feel seen and understood from day one. Layla is also a light — she radiates love and support every time you see her, making everyone Courtney as well she is valuable asset she is light
Love this place
It was a great place to learn about the disease of addiction. They did a great job and the classes were good. I would recommend to others
I actually love tru healing in Jeffersonville Indiana. The staff has really pulled it off. I say more but that pretty covers what a rehab is here to do for a person's l ife...thank you staff;!
Tru-healing saved my life and helped me by giving me tools I needed for success I got my kids back I got my family back , Jared the alumni coordinator is great at keeping communication with his alumni members and is a… very supportive proactive person to look up to ! Also I’d like to compliment Kayla Mann on being so supportive to the people attending the program an always going above and beyond for her clients , she helped me get a interview at my dream job I swear if you need a good place to get your life together an recover this is the place 10/10
A constant run down of staff to get something done. Always late, always too caught up in their own lives , always on phones. At housing water has been out, no lights in our bedroom. Way worse than two years ago.
My experience was well worth it appreciate everyone that was there miss everyone prayers for everyone as well
This place was really great. I’ve completed it twice. Hopefully, it doesn’t take a third time. The first time I completed it, it was under the care of Madison the clinical Director and when she was there, everyone was… afraid of her. This time that I was there it was ran by Karissa and there was no air of superiority given off by her and I was not afraid of her. So if you’re looking for a next step after inpatient, this is the place you need to go. Everyone was awesome except Alba. Alba was super awesome! Also shout out to my therapist Richard, we worked through some really deep stuff together and I thank you for that.
From the moment I touched down the entire staff welcomed me with open arms, and help me cultivate me, meaning they opened my mind and heart with their facts and scars that we share. Never once did they hold me back… instead cheered me on, and did so with a smile. They're realness and vulnerability lead me to open up and vent to the point that everything just began flowing out, True Healing is the best thing that has ever happened to me.. Next to my daughter and making the decision to get clean..... Thank You for loving me back to life..
Idk how they have gotten away with it this far but they are committing fraud and misappropriation of funds. There are NO PHP/sober living rehabs in the state of Indiana that have housing covered by HIP/Medicade. In… order for HIP/Medicade to cover housing the rehab has to be all Inpatient. They get around this issue by setting themselves up as 2 companies True Healing (rehab-clinicals) and KISH (housing-seperate location). Now...clinicals are covered under insurance but not housing. When you get to housing they tell you it costs $100 per week, yet for some reason I never saw a bill nor was I ever asked for payment. I asked around and everyone reported the same in fact most people reported they didn't even know they were two separate companies. They try and pretend they're just so caring that their not worried about payment for housing but the reality is they are not worried about payment because they're really just 1 company set up as 2 so they can get around Medicade not paying for housing. They're getting that Medicade money so their not worried about the $100 per week for housing. So they are misappropriating funds to cover housing costs but not charging for housing because they are getting plenty of Medicade money. Why does this matter? Because they are committing fraud with my insurance and worst of all they aren't providing the treatment I needed. They are what I call a rehab mill. Fill the rehab up with as many people as possible. Too many for them to actually treat, then bill bill bill insurance. My apartment had no air conditioning the entire time I was there (about 2 weeks). They hardly feed you. One time, in the morning, we came in and there was no breakfast just a couple small tubs of ice cream. That's right...ice cream for breakfast. There wasn't even enough for everyone. Their was no bowls so we used small styrofoam cups. I only met with a therapist once and he played on his phone and typed unrelated stuff on his computer...not paying attention to me at all. Staff at housing also regularly kicked people out just on suspicion alone without proof what so ever. When I was kicked out (without proof of infraction) they refused to get me a Medicab (insurance pays for transport to and from treatment...but to get it instantly the rehab has to call it in at time of discharge) so I could get home. They refused to get me that medicab unless I took the referral to go to one of the inpatient treatment centers they work with. I'm a heroin addict and I definitely didn't relapse but yet they didn't wanna help me get anywhere unless I took a referral to go to the treatment center they worked with. So I told them sure I'll go to the one in Indy. I took the medicab and told the driver to pull over and drop me off at my apartment downtown Indy instead (which was already on the way). Oh and to top it all off they lied to me and said my Suboxone prescription was in my stuff. I got home and there was none. So I get back home to downtown Indianapolis where I did all my using with none of my meds and so obviously I went into withdrawal. So back to the area I used, no meds, in withdrawal, discharged for something they couldn't prove. 100 percent set up for failure. i could go on and on with examples of how messed up this place is but that should suffice.
TruHealing Riverbend is an excellent PHP. I learned a lot and have 4 months sober today!!
This place really saved my life
All the stuff that true healing are awesome therapist are great ALBA IS AWESOME
The staff here are incredible they genuinely care about the recovery of every individual and speak the same language Kayla is hands down the best case manger I've had and helped me be a better version of myself I owe… these guys a huge debt and plan on passing the wisdom and knowledge forward anyway I can thanks guys because of you I know I'm ready
I had a great experience at Truhealing. It's not easy, but it's so worth it! The staff is amazing and they show their clients what successful long-term recovery looks like, every day. I'm proud to be an alumni of… Truhealing Riverbend.
Saved my life I love this place
This facility is the best program I've ever completed. And gave me a chance to experience what life was like sober in a real life setting. The groups are very informative and the facilitators are on a personal level… with the clients. They actually cared about their impact.I was able to get out of my comfort zone and participate in the groups. I take pride in my personal integrity and going beyond just doing the bare minimum is a mist. it's not easy to just do the next right thing but I continue to do that. I would recommend true healing to anybody who is ready to get sober
I came here 3 hours away from home, not knowing what I was getting into. My first step in the door, I met the sweetest most encouraging soul, who is also the boss. The process of intake was insanely easy and I felt… comfortable being vulnerable. Then my first week, I felt nothing but love and was welcomed by every one of the staff and my peers. It was extremely easy to become acclimated with the environment and the classes and if I ever had a question, I always knew I had more than one person I could run to. This is my first time in recovery so I had zero idea what to expect and I can only say I would never pick any other place. God put me here and I am so thankful he did. These last 4 weeks have flown by and I have learned and grown and grown to love so many people. I cannot put into words the things they taught me, challenged my way of thinking about, and just how sad I am to be leaving. The staff inspired me each and every day. I will forever be grateful for Tru Healing and I will keep them a part of my journey for life.
Tru Healing make a amazing impact on my life. Kayla Sara k and Jared was amazing I was able to relate to there stories and it made it easier to open up to them. This place truly changed my life for the best.
A+ program would recommend to anyone
Dont come here. This place and the housing situation is absolutely horrible. The classes are over ran with ppl cross talking and staff can't control them. I was there 10 days and they never got my medicine situated,… very serious medication I needed badly. The apartments they house you in are absolutely ran down. We had no water for a few days .... They get very small amount of food for 4 or 5 men to share a week. This is a huge money grab and it's not going to help anyone who is serious about recovery .... Go somewhere else, please
Wish I could give O stars!!! It's all a LIE just to get you here!!! It's 28 days you DONT live at tru healing!! You are housed at KISH, if you have problems which you will, they tell you that's a housing issue, or a… clinical issue. I've taken pics of the fridge each week there's NOTHING to eat!! Class is mandatory everyday except Sunday from 8am-4 you will be sitting down this entire time with about 50-60 others. They DON'T help with finding employment nor a place to go after!!! Advocate for yourself or you will get nothing accomplished.
If I could give no stars I would. If you like prison politics, trapping, and listening to sick people guide sick people then look no further. They run out of food so expect to lose weight and force you to do chores… during clinical hours to cut cost on house keeping while refusing to purchase simple necessities like a napkin so the place is infested with quarter rolls of cheap single ply toilet paper just like the good ol' days in jail. I challenge anyone with some letters after their name and without a confirmation bias to sit through just one group and leave a better review. Thanks.
Great place and great staff ! I would recommend this place to anyone serious about their sobriety. It sucks that I left early.
