This is the place to get started with your journey to recovery!!! The group of professionals at this location, the nurses, counselors and the ladies at the check in desk! Not only cares for your recovery, but they also… strive to help heal and recover your heart ❤️🩹… ( we all know this disease) Not only brakes down the body!! but it destroys the heart ❤️ and soul which is the most important part of the body to heal. They will go above and beyond to meet your needs. I just want to say thank you all at McLeod center for the help and encouragement you all provide… p.s keep God in the spotlight throughout your journey and your life even after recovery. So that you will be blessed and God will set you up on a solid foundation… #jesuschrist4President…
I have been going here for a year now and I have had no problems. The difference in Mcleod and otherr clincs is Mcleod is really set up to help you succeed. If you come to people as people and treat the staff with… respect and understanding, they will do the same for you. I have dosed at the other clinic in Gastonia before I came to Mcleod and I prefer Mcleod 100 percent. Staff really does care here about your life and your recovery. Abby is wonderful and will do whatever she can to help you if you have a problem, the nurses are all nice and polite, the front desk ladies are always friendly and smiling (even at 5 am), my counselor is great, and the peer support staff (Karen) is wonderful as well. So like the other review said, " you get what you put in,." If you want to have a better quality of life and become and maintain your soberity, go to Mcleod, they have everything there to help you get where you need.
DO NOT GO HERE if you’re wanting help. They not care about the patients and what they are going thru.. If you don’t do what they want, when and how they want they will treat you like your no body. They do not respect… anyone there. They don’t care you’re a human and have life outside of their facility. If you make any kind of complaints they will retaliate against you and push you away from the program. They do not care how your feeling.. They would rather see people leave the facility than stay there and get help. All they care about is money and how they are going to get it. They don’t care if you trying to working with them. It’s their way or no way.. they do not care about their patients.. they want to pressure you into getting grants just so they can get paid. If you miss a day you still have to pay for it even tho that’s not right, even the nurses there agree with patients shouldn’t have to pay if they miss a day. But the big guys don’t care. Jessica in Charlotte doesn’t care what you’re going thru and neither does the director ( Kristian) in Gastonia location care. She walks around like she’s miserable and doesn’t want to be there. If a certain person was still there I’d still be there cause she stood up for people like me but she got promoted and working from home.
The program itself helped save my life..I was strung out for over 15 years...my councilor is awesome..they accept Medicaid and if you don't have Medicaid they'll help you apply for it...I ce you get it they reimburse… you Every dime if you do get Medicaid
Every staff member here has been nothing but amazing to me since I started coming in October of 2023, If you are polite and respect them and understand they also have a job to do, they will be just as nice and… respectful to you.
The staff is amazing their, and they actually do care about your well being !
You get what you give. I have always been polite to the staff and they have always been super nice to me. I have also seen people act a fool and expect the staff to just take it. The front lady asked politely for people… to get Ina proper line and of course, Gastonia's finest citizens started swearing at her and talking non sense. The patients are far from classy, most have horrible trashy attitudes. They treat this doctors office like a trap house and it is sad. There is so much trash on the outside of the building of classless patients. At the end of the day this is a doctors office that is here to help those who want help (and to profit ofc). No one is forced to go here so act like it. Long story short, come in keep your head down, be nice to the staff and you'll have no problems.
The nurses at McLeod, Gastonia, are the rudest I’ve ever met. Makes you want to give up and go back to the streets. Why go for a career like this if you’re going to be rude to the patients?
They can't seem to get it together they've had me lost since they keep telling me I have forms to fill out papers to sign etc. I have already done all this
Absolutely love it here!! Nurses are amazing especially Rebekah. Jay is no longer there for now he is definitely missed. My counselor at the time is Alonzo Booker, great, attentive, responsible counselor. I enjoy our… meetings he listens and actually remembers me in the past this was a problem for other counselors I have had. Girls at the front are very nice. One in particular has been there awhile not sure of her name but she is very nice and remembers me when I come in and that's hard to do considering how many people come in there. Have had two pregnancies through this place and currently pregnant very understanding staff and doctors have h elped me along the way so this place has saved my life and I wouldn't change clinics for any reason.
This place saved my life. I was in a place where I was about to end my life because of the pain and not being able to get pain medication except buying it on the street and starving to death paying for it. But now I… have food to eat and I am on a treatment plan and it's working well for me. If you've ever been addicted to drugs you know what I'm saying but if you haven't ever been addicted to drugs please don't start it's poison 💯 and will kill you. This is not a place to get high as a lot of people think it's to save our lives.....
All I can say is good work guy & girls y'all have a lot on y'all especially the workload you guys have on y'all thank for all you do for the community and the people that are in desperate need you save my life and… countless others so yeah great job thank you all for all y'all do 😁🙏✌ 10++++++
Great
Very friendly staff, hardly no wait time except sometimes on the weekend or holidays. The line will be out the door on a bad day but overall you’re usually in and out in five mins. They also have a program that offers… services for free if you qualify. Intake on Wednesday’s only and expect to be there from 6 am til around 11am. They are pretty lenient about failing drug tests for the first month or two but if you continue to fail then they will put u on a decrease of i think 2mg per week. They gave me several chances over the course of three months but I never stopped using the entire time going and one day decided to not go back on my own. Feel like the medicine isn’t at all strong enough and I’ve heard several other people say it’s generic methadone called methadose. They have helped a few people I know but didn’t work for me but I didn’t want to quit at the time so that played a factor I believe. I have an appointment for intake this morning at the other methadone clinic in Gastonia and this time I truly want to quit more than anything and am excited to try to get my life back, hopefully. The daily payment has always kept me from trying this clinic but now they accept Medicaid so I am going to give it a shot...no pun intended. Lol.
Better than nothing I guess
I have been going here for over a year now and to make a long story short this place has saved my life. One year and 3 months off of IV heroin. My counselor is amazing and showed me many ways to handle addiction which… has helped me greatly. The nurses are absolutely amazing and I really enjoy seeing the front desk ladies every morning they are so nice and very professional. I pay cash and its 11.00$ per day and that includes everything like seeing the doctor when needed, seeing your counselor, taking drug tests .....its all just 11.00$ per day and that's a very small price to pay to be off the junk and stable enough to start your life over. Thank you McLeod without you my life would not be as stable and drug free as it is now. 5 Stars.
This is absolutely the worst place I've been here since 5:38 am they have taken people that came in after me and it's 11:43 am and still have not seen the doctor.
It is a good place to help addicts get help
McLeod helps people that want to be helped. It a great place for recovery.
