Dr. Paul is a very nice guy and understands the kind of treatment I need.
This place actively made my mental health worse. I felt like much of the staff was very friendly. The nurses were great. The techs were great. The therapists were great. But I really did not have a good experience with… the psychiatrist. The woman is so rude! I went to southern live oak wellness in the fall and had to see her for an “appointment.” I put appointment in quotations because she rushed the entire time and I felt like I wasn’t being looked after correctly so I asked why I was even there. She said “you should be the one to know that.” I told her I do know that but I felt like she could spend a bit more time with me and she only spent about 5-7 minutes with me. She then told me “I’m a doctor. What doctor do you know that isn’t busy” or something like that. She didn’t even make any medication changes that she said she’d make. I heard on another day when I was listening nearby she was talking about me with someone else because I heard my name and she said “he just bitter and hates life and takes it out on me. No wonder he’s sad” I’m so hurt by this and I’ve been thinking about it still. So I go a place for help and I’m called bitter? I don’t understand and I won’t ever be back DONT trust the psychiatrist. She’s so mean
The discharge process was extremely messy. They tried to move my discharge date over a week early without having any plans for what php I’d be going to and how I’d transition back into living outside the facility. They… also changed the php I would be going to about 4 times. They said I needed a trauma focused program but sent me somewhere with addiction focused treatment. That facility discharged me after 4 days because they said the program wasn’t suitable. They have made my transition incredibly uncomfortable and frustrating
Not sure if I left a review before or not, but this place is heaven. Helped me so much when I was going through my first ever psychosis crisis. The staff is patient and knowledgeable. The therapy/classes were so… helpful, I use what I learned there daily. The food was great, rooms were comfortable. They are very encouraging to do everything to help you get back to a good place mentally. I’m still healing and in a much better place now in my life, but sometimes I still think about it and miss it lol. I can’t thank them enough for taking me in. I owe them the world!
Called in a crisis and Victoria was amazing & helpful. Thank you a thousand!
The care at Southern Live Oak Wellness is personal and genuine — they truly see each individual and meet them where they are. The holistic therapies and supportive team have made such a difference, and it’s been amazing… to see the positive changes. Learning more about the diagnosis, treatment, and what to expect has been eye-opening and incredibly helpful.
The care provided just amazing would not recommend anywhere but southern live oak.
Our teenage son spent six weeks at Hidden Creek Wellness Retreat, and it was truly a transformative experience for him—and for our whole family. From the start, we felt he was in a safe, supportive environment, and his… therapist, Jonathan Brown, made all the difference. Jonathan was absolutely incredible. He was fully committed to helping our son grow and heal. Over time, our son built real trust with him, which is something we hadn’t seen happen in previous therapeutic settings. Jonathan guided him with compassion, patience, and deep insight. We also had regular family sessions, which were meaningful and constructive. They helped us understand our son better and gave us tools to support him more effectively at home. We always felt heard and included in the process. We’re so grateful for the care our son received at Hidden Creek and especially for the guidance and dedication Jonathan showed every step of the way. This experience gave our son and us hope.
Live Oaks Wellness is a fantastic center for wellness, courage, support, and hope. everyone I have referred has made great success! I highly recommend them
It's been a few years since my son was there, and I often think of how important the people here were to him and us. They literally saved him from the grasp of this horrible disease by using their skills, their… knowledge, and most of all their empathy. For all of us. We remain grateful and shall always be.
I just had a wonderful and warm virtual session with Yolanda Villain, the very capable NP with my Psychiatrist Dr. Paul. She was a delight to talk to, very good listening skills and empathetic to my situation. It does… not surprise me that this angel works with my Psychiatrist, I am beyond happy that I found these folks! For the first time in my decades-long mental health struggles I have hope and optimism that I have found the people to help me overcome years of abuse and trauma. Thank you from the heart and soul 🥰
Dr. Paul is a wonderful doctor. He is very caring and compassionate. He takes time out to listen to your concerns and help you feel validated and try to help get you on the best course of medication individualized to… you and your needs. He doesn’t rush and he takes his time to make sure that he is giving you what you need and that’s appropriate for you. Dr. Paul has been great. There’s no wait time he’ll work around your schedule FaceTime phone calls. In office as well. You definitely a great doctor if you ever have an opportunity to become one of his patients, definitely take it. You won’t regret it and he sends prescriptions in a very timely manner.
Overall great facility. They hard shipped my deductible for insurance and I had no problems in that area. The individual therapists could use some work but groups were incredible and so was tech staff. Shout-out to LT.
I would like to take this time and give our Slow family their flowers! They truly, truly care. This is not a one-sided facility. What I love about them is that the initial phone call with Intake sets the tone. They… truly treat you like family. They come up with a true treatment plan tailored to start the healing process for your loved one. I sincerely can write a book. When my daughter came to them initially, we had been to facility after facility, and when I found Slow and talked to Josh, I knew it was different. If you are looking for love and healing, please take your loved ones to Slow. The entire staff from the intake team, clinical team, and all of the therapists, techs and support staff really take their time. My daughter has been blessed to have all of her angels. Because it's so scary when you are not sure what's going on with your loved ones. I would love to drop names, but they are all amazing and take time to.pour back into your love ones! That means alot.. My family is truly grateful! ❤️ There is so much I can say about this amazing facility. Again, if you are looking for healing and lots love! Please take your loved ones to Slow. Thank you Sherree and family
honest review in attached photos since it keeps ‘miraculously’ getting deleted 🤯
Great facility and staff you can’t ask for a better way to your like back together and get a hold on things. Sometimes we have to make decisions that we think are bad but in the long run they will make us stronger and… able to identify problems before reacting so thank you for all your help
All I can say, is Thank you to all the staff at S.L.O.W. what a great place to have in your life. They go above and beyond to help in anyway possible. And are the best group to help you or your love ones. They feel like… family that we all need in our life. Trust the process when you get to know them. I am so thankful for them helping my family get thru some of our toughest times ever. Hugs to Josh, Cody, Bob, Haley and all of the staff. I am so thankful for you and what you do in this world. I am again, thankful.
I've been to a lot of treatment centers over the years. The residential program was fantastic. Empathetic staff, rewarding groups, clean facility, and three hot meals a day, which were delicious (shout out to the chefs… of SLOW). The therapists genuinely care about your treatment. Bottom line, if you are looking for residential treatment, I can wholeheartedly recommend this facility/program.
I have a daughter that recently went into the program at SLOW. She was transferred from Ridgeview and I was a complete mess as no-one at Ridgeview would give me the time of day to even explain the expected process.… Being that my daughter is 23 years old, I had no legal rights to understand what she was going through at Ridgeview or even the next steps to her road to recovery. When I heard that Ridgeview was going to transfer my daughter to SLOW, I called SLOW to try to understand the process and Josh had answered the phone. He was so kind and understanding and explained the process of what happens next and stayed in close contact with me until she was transferred there. Her discharge was postponed twice. I honestly do not know how I would have made it through the last month without Josh’s kindness and professionalism. He is one of the most kind, patient and understanding person that I have ever interacted with and I am so forever grateful for him and SLOW is very very lucky to have him.
This place changed my life. I can’t thank these people enough.
First and foremost, I would like to say that SLOW treated my young adult child as more than just a means to earn money - SLOW cared about getting my loved one the help needed in order to get back on their feet and on… their way to a successful life. The follow ups that my young adult child received after completing treatment at SLOW were beneficial to their journey. After the completion of treatment at SLOW, the help and support we have received has been above and beyond what I would have expected and appreciated more than I can put into a Google Review. I don't believe my young adult child would be with us today had SLOW not been involved in their journey.
I am so thankful for this place and all of the support and care I received here. The therapists and staff truly care about you and give you the tools needed to cope and heal. I highly recommend this place to anyone… struggling and I feel so blessed I received care here.
