Several accounts that describe the same thing tell you more than a single strong opinion.
1st time got hung up on. Maybe by acedent? So I called about 20ish minutes later to a lady who asked what county, said the county, and she said ok well go to that office and fill out the paperwork and they will schedule… you an appointment.
I have been bringing my son to this mental health facility for treatment, and while I appreciate the importance of the care he receives, my experience with one particular receptionist has been extremely disappointing.… Every time I come to the facility, I seem to have an interaction with the same receptionist, and each encounter leaves me feeling antagonized rather than assisted. Her attitude is consistently rude, dismissive, and confrontational. Instead of treating parents with understanding and respect, she often comes across as if she is looking for an argument or trying to create unnecessary tension. As a parent seeking mental health treatment for my child, I am already dealing with enough stress and concern. The last thing I should have to worry about is being made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome when I walk through the door. A mental health facility should be a place where families feel supported, not judged or antagonized. What makes this even more frustrating is that this has not been a one-time incident. It has become a recurring issue that I experience nearly every visit. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the situation because patients and their families deserve to be treated with professionalism, kindness, and compassion. No parent should dread checking in for their child's appointment because of the behavior of a front desk receptionist.
Love it here the only problem is the Rude Cop!! No bedside manners just a nonchalant attitude like we all are criminals!!!! My intake and Therapist and Counselor were Excellent. Very caring and understanding
Very rarely do they ever have times that's right for me. And their notifications system is awful down right awful. Why can't we get proper notifications? Like isn't ai doing it? Just tell it to do it.
I did not have a satisfying appointment. My appointed doctor asked “what did you get, a dui?” When ATTEMPTING to discuss my most recent issue(s). She also continued to interrupt my conversation with her MULTIPLE times… stating that “I have another client we only have 20 minutes.” She continued to make me EXTREMELY uncomfortable and unseen. This was the most horrific experience I have had with a doctor. Her name is Connie J.
They're a great safety net for getting outpatient services if you don't have good insurance or any other resources. Viewpoint Health is a government subsidized clinic. Quality of care is therefore substandard. A young… therapist named Meghan uses political catch phrases in her sessions, instead of basing her therapy model on evidence-based practices. Whether or not a client agrees with her political commentary in therapy sessions, it is unprofessional and indoctrination either way. They have a security guard that will have you spread your arms and legs to get their wand waved over you before you can enter the premises. It's scary to think about why a psychiatrist/therapist office needs to do a security sweep on you. I've been a mental health patient for over 20 years in this same area. I have never seen a doctor/therapist feel they need to have security at their door. The reasoning behind their decision to add a security guard makes a person wonder. Otherwise, they have kept me mentally afloat. If not going to VPH without mental health insurance coverage, I'd be lost or dead without Viewpoint Health. They're good to hold you over until you get into a private practice.
The psychiatrist I had was very condescending and kept trying to pressure me to take medication that I didn’t want to take. My therapist never showed to our appointment and didn’t contact me until a month and a half… later to reschedule.
I gave this place one star because I had a terrible experience with this company at two of their locations. Minus speaking with office manager at lawrenceville location ahead of time was very very nice. But one day I… came for a intake the receptionist informed me I need to be there by 12 or 1 to be seen so I left and went back the next day before 12 and then they said they have no more appointments. The appointments are all gone the first lady said nothing about a appointment, only just get there by a certain time to be seen. So I came a third time because I was told come early in the morning for a appointment and I can go do what I need to do with my maintenance and get a virtual appointment. Than they said they ho virtual appointments I was getting upset and and anxious at the same time. So manager made it worked and got me in. So when I finally had my virtual intake we talked it was going good and she told me with my children good trauma my grief and other issues viewpoint may not be the place for me being that they are short term help working on one issue at a time. So we ended that intake. I went to the new one stop location for my children to attend here. It’s decorated nicely front desk is nice. But the therapist here are interns. We went through a 7 hour intake. 2 hours per child. One of the therapists I was meeting with we had a long conversation but she wasnt typing so thats why we needed another session. So they are unprofessional here. The therapist missed two sessions and she was a no call no show So I told management I want to switch therapist because if shes not available because she is having her own family issues how can she be any help to my family and she said no per our policy we cant do that we only have three therapist and you have three children and what if our therapist tell one child what the other said and she started laughing and I said than that is client therapist privacy violation and she said i would hope they wouldn’t do that they not going to do that. I told her never mind close our case this is not the company for my family. This my family and you not going to tell me what we are going to do with our mental health. And I was willing to work with them for their experience but I rather get a professional therapist with experience. I was going to write this review yesterday and than guess what happens today. Child protection shows up at my door with everything I told this company in confinement of help for us. In my opinion find somewhere else. On the phone I told her Ill find someone else and call my health insurance so to cover her self she sent this. I sent that to her on Friday and that same day she called dfcs. Then on 4/22. I get a discharge email when I told them we wont attend dont go there do trust them.Go somewhere else
If you care at all for your loved one do not use this “service.” Utter lack of concern coupled with condescension, arrogance and questionable expertise.
The doctors don't look out for your best interests..I really needed the help and didn't get the help I needed. Thanks to God i was able to get the help I needed from someone else.
First impressions are poor. Was given an appointment at 8am that was apparently not really an appointment, now I've been sitting here for two hours just waiting to hear if there's an availability to have a discussion to… schedule an appointment. If I had known that I would have to clear a whole day just for intake, I would have called to schedule something on a day that I didn't already have appointments to go to. Ultimately told that they could put me in for a zoom appointment at 1pm and they would email me with a link but I never received an email. Update: I attempted to be seen but their staff scheduled my appointment incorrectly and they ended up calling my roommate (not me, my roommate!) one minute before my appointment time saying they needed to cancel as it conflicted with an appointment later in the day. As though canceling an actively happening appointment makes more sense than canceling one that's happening later? Every interaction I've had with them has been disrespectful to me and my time.
I discovered this resource from Gwinnett Mental Health, what I have learned is the talking points are excellent. However if you are the one to need this resource it is not adequate. My family member needed this resource… and it has failed him. He needed a place to stay and they dropped him off in downtown Atlanta and he ran away. The resource person made a call to his disabled Mom to say he had ran away. After that initial call all of her phone calls to him went unanswered. It left her frantic and traumatized not be able to find her son, she called people she knew to search for him. He was later found safe about 15 miles away. To this day she has not had any contact with this organization to let her know about what transpired on what could have been a very serious matter.
The workers have no sympathy for the patients there. My child missed her appointment due to not having any power because of the storm. They wanted us to do a walk in on Tuesday. Which is inconvenient for me due to my… work schedule. I guess I will be finding another doctors office in the mean time.
Good customer service
Idk about the outpatient program but the "inpatient program" is such a joke.
Very good and caring people
Love this place ,Dr Morgan is awesome 😎
I have the Most wonderful caring doctor. And has been. My doctor for over 15 year's. And hasdoctor nail for over 15 years.
I have been taking my son to GRN Viewpoint since he was 6 years old. He is now 44 years of age and doing a great deal better! He can live on his own, used to work well with others (until ignorant co-workers made fun of… him and his disability, causing him to stop working) being in the top five best workers on his job. GRN Viewpoint and its medical staff are the best!!
