This place has been an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience for my son and our family. My son is court-ordered to participate in therapy, and unfortunately, I have not been impressed with the way this… office handles appointments, communicates with parents, or provides support. His sessions are supposed to be every other Saturday. There are four Saturdays in a month, so that means he is attending approximately two Saturdays a month—not every Saturday. If he misses one Saturday and attends the following Saturday, that does not mean he should suddenly be scheduled every Saturday afterward. My son is a child. He has school, activities, responsibilities, and things that come up, just as I have responsibilities and things that come up as his parent. What makes this even more frustrating is the double standard. When the therapist has to cancel, or when the father needs to cancel, it seems to be, “No problem, we’ll just move it to another date.” But when I need to cancel an appointment for my child because something important comes up, suddenly it becomes an issue and there is pressure to schedule him every Saturday. That is not fair. Right is right and wrong is wrong. I have never made an issue when the therapist has had to cancel. I have worked with the office and accommodated changes to the schedule. I expect the same courtesy and understanding when I occasionally need to make a change. The communication from this office has also been extremely poor. I am coming from Homestead, so every appointment requires gas, time, and planning. One of the worst experiences happened on Mother’s Day. Someone from this office called me and scheduled/confirmed an appointment for my son. Because his therapy is court-ordered, I made sure we showed up. I drove all the way there, only to find a large sign on the door stating that the office was closed. I then called Lynn to confirm what happened and was told that no one should have called me because the therapist was closed on Mother’s Day. But someone from the office did call me and confirm that appointment. How is a parent supposed to know what information is correct when the office itself cannot properly communicate with its patients? I have been understanding when this office has canceled or had scheduling issues, but that same understanding does not seem to be extended to me. I should not have to waste my gas and time traveling from Homestead because of an appointment your own office scheduled when the therapist was not even working. At this point, I am extremely unhappy with my experience with this facility. I understand that my son’s therapy is court-ordered, but that does not mean parents should have to accept poor communication, inconsistent scheduling, or what feels like a lack of consideration for the child’s and parent’s time. Parents should be able to trust that a therapy facility will communicate clearly, respect established schedules, and treat everyone fairly. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here. I would strongly encourage parents to do their research and consider other options before choosing this facility. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this place to other parents or families.

Great experience at West Miami Chmc! Everyone is always so helpful. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs Mental health assistance. 😊❤️

Dr. Ruiz-Santiago is one of the only psychiatrists to hear out my symptoms & environmental stressors without shutting me half way to slap a diagnostic label. She doesn't start off on heavy doses & frequently monitors… how your body is taking the medication. Shoutout to Armenta Acevedo, I don't know how she can do it, be a badass & take care of all her patients, marriage counseling couples & social service kids. This is practically the only office in Miami that you can be scheduled to be seen the same week, unlike alot of places that have waiting lists & an average of 2 month wait before your next appointment.

I’ve been to many doctors and this staff is incredible. I’ve been to other places and the receptionists have triggered me and been awful but everyone here is really amazing and my doctor has helped me a lot already. I’m… so glad I found them. Totally recommend!

First of all the office is very disorganized and dated. I get there and sign in as a new patient, I’m assuming I have forms to fill however the girls in the front desk are paying attention to everything except the… patients waiting. After waiting for 10 minutes I ask the girl if there’s anything to fill out and she flat out says she forgot about me. That’s not the worst part, as I’m filling out the forms they tell me I have to pay what’s left if my deductible which was $411 for the visit. The day before I asked over 5 times on the phone for them to verify my insurance and they told me I didn’t have a copay every single time. The whole excuse I have to pay what’s left over if my deductible is total BS because I’m supposed to pay their contracted rates with the insurance company which is how much they’re getting paid, not my deductible. I wasted my time by going there and missed an hour of work. Had they done their job right from the beginning this wouldn’t have happened.
