For 30 years I have struggled with my mental health and in the past it has affected my career, quality of life, and relationships. I have been a patient of Francisca's for 3 years now and I am the most stable I have… ever been. I always knew I had ADHD, but my previous doctors wouldn't listen to me and just kept raising my bipolar medication to the point I had a toxic reaction and was hospitalized. I felt ashamed for decades that even on my mental health medications I still struggled, in college and in my profession career and it wasn't until I was 40 that I was finally properly diagnosed by Francisca. My husband, family and coworkers have noticed a huge difference and I for once finally feel like I am a functioning adult. I am so grateful for Francisca and her professionalism and commitment to giving exceptional care. She listens, has compassion, and will go above and beyond for her patients. The entire staff is amazing! Caroline is fantastic and has always made me feel so comfortable, and if you need anything she is there, she makes sure your medications are submitted and if you have a concern or any issues she is quick to respond. They make you feel like family, and honestly they have changed my life for the better.
Tried this practice because they were accepting new patients and it was close. They offer virtual and in-person appointments, which I liked since my schedule changes weekly. However, the front office needed to call me… before every virtual session to charge my credit card, which I found unusual. Every other therapist I’ve worked with just has a card on file and charges after the session, no call needed. I worked with Bridget during 45-min talk therapy sessions. Other practices would do 1-hour long sessions with my insurance, but I figured maybe it changes by therapist. Unfortunately it wasn’t the right fit. She was over five minutes late to one of the sessions. When I asked her if we could add those minutes to the end of the session or start the next one earlier, she very indirectly answered no.
I have Nothing but Great things to say about my Mental Health "Team" for the past 5yrs or more! The Doctors, Medication Mngmt., office staff, have supported me in my life and Honestly dont know what I would do without… their help and Support. I really recommend if you have Medicaid or private insurance in Frederick MD. and need Mental Health Look No Further.
Absolutely wonderful!
I loved my doctor. That is the only reason they got 1 star. I have been on ADHD meds for over 20 yrs. They called me up one day last Feb and said the insurance companies require all people on controlled substances to… take drug tests. However, insurance covers it. I wasn't worried. Insurance covers it and I don't abuse my meds. I just got an invoice for $540 for the drug test. My insurance didn't cover it. I called Revive and Thrive up and they said it wasn't insurance that required it, they required it. If you want to be lied to and state that insurance covers/requires tests, then charged an enormous amount, go here. Otherwise, find another practice that treats you like a patient.
Today was my first visit. They were very welcoming and so helpful. I'm excited for this journey.
I do my sessions via teleport. It is the right way to handle my appointments because I am disabled. The staff at the office are marvelous. My therapist is very cheery to start each session.
Francesca is absolutely wonderful!! Listens with authenticity to you. Shows she truly cares by learning about you as a person. I already had medicine in place when I came, so there hasn't been any adjustments there. But… it felt comfortable that she allowed me to keep doing what I was doing because it was working. Shannon is a big help also at the front end making things happen when medication can't be found, etc. I am so glad I found this team of dedicated professionals for my healthcare needs.
The staff and team here (and you know who you all are) are amazing. They have had my back for years, and I wouldn't be the surviving thriving woman I am today without them.
I became a patient at this practice in August 2021. I had one of the best Psychiatrist intake appointments with AdeTimbo Adediran, I felt like I was finally in a space where I was going to be heard and felt confident in… her abilities to understand me as a patient. My next appointment was through Zoom. The office staff had plenty of opportunities to inform me that I would be seeing a different provider from before, but instead they decided to let me find that out on my own while opening the meeting. I was incredibly upset by this change, but luckily Kayla Potter is an excellent professional and picked up right where I had left off with my treatment. After almost a year of seeing Kayla on a monthly basis, I went to enter my zoom meeting and was blindsided once again with a different practitioner. It was a very stressful day and I was feeling unwell physically. Knowing I would be able to tell Kayla this and then quickly move through my appointment was incredibly reassuring and instead I was bombarded with questions from an unfamiliar face with absolutely no warning. It's incredibly important for a practice to understand the significance of consistency and communication when dealing with patients who are being treated for mental health. I asked them how I could continue to be treated by Kayla Potter and they told me they did not know. This demonstrates a lack of care and understanding for their 500+ patient load. Firing an employee after they give notice is unforgivable. I have no issues with the current practitioner doing their job, they seem like a very nice and understanding person, I would not trust it will be the same person the next time you go.
We all know that quality front office staff makes a HUGE difference- and both Shannon and Caroline are each INCREDIBLE. (Conveniently, Shannon is very responsive to emails if ever I run into an issue). With regards to… Kayla Potter, I CANNOT say enough good words about her. She goes ABOVE and BEYOND. I've had my run through of TERRIBLE experiences with medical staff/insurance/etc. and yet Kayla and Shannon have been a steady aide in my journey. 13+ years of various chronic pain/depression/anxiety/etc. treatments and I can list on one hand how many NP (nurse practitioners), doctors, counselors, physical therapists, etc. that I would be willing to recommend without hesitation or concern- and Kayla Potter is at the TOP of that list. If you're looking to heal and properly move forward with your life, I really suggest reaching out to Kayla and taking that step!
I have loved my time as a patient at Revive and Thrive! I couldn't speak more fondly of the staff - with a big shout out to Caroline and Shannon, for being kind, knowledgeable and genuine. My psychiatrist, Kayla Potter,… is absolutely wonderful. You can tell that she truly cares about her patients and wants the best for their well being. She takes the time to listen intently to what it is your feeling, so that she can help you decide what's best. Also, she's always respectful and thorough when answering questions and makes you feel confident with what she prescribes. I would definitely recommend!
I am so fortunate to have found this practice. Everyone here is accommodating and attentive and I've always felt listened to/heard. I can't recommend them enough, and especially Kayla Potter. She is fantastic and knows… her stuff! I am in a much healthier place because of Revive & Thrive.
These people are wonderful. They've pulled me back from the edge, and they truly care about my wellbeing.
Misdiagnosed schizophrenic and medicated for it leading me to being hospitalized. Do not trust Ms.Timbo, please, no one should have to go through what I went through. I still cant fully grasp my experience today.
The staff is caring and easy to work with!! They show compassion for each patient and help in any way they can. They are professional beyond expectation and I look forward to going to the doctor each visit!
I would "Highly Recommend" Open arms Open minds to anyone who is struggling with mental health or just needs a therapist to talk to. The staff here are Highly Professional and make you feel at home as soon as you walk… through their doors. I personally myself had just one visit with Mrs. Dolores and I can tell you that the energy that she gives off is so positive that it overpowers any negative that you are enduring or feeling at that time if you are feeling down. There is no judgment and her and her team makes you feel that you are apart of the solution and that any problems that you are dealing with will be solved. They are confident and they show compassion and concern when it comes to their paitents. As far as continuing treatment, i went ahead and set an appointment up for my son and I. We both are going to need it. He is 13 and I was finally awarded custody after a long 2 and a half year battle. I belive in my heart that God has led me to this facility beforehand to give me confirmation that Open arms Open minds is the place my son and i need to go to get the help that both of us need for what is to come in the future while on our journey. He has been through alot of trauma and i myself have been seen by many therapist and for once in my life I finally found one that I trust and makes me feel comfortable. Also I want to give a shout out to Shannon for helping me set up our appointments to best fit in with my schedule and his. She is very generous and highly professional when dealing with clients. Her personality and energy is very uplifting and positive and she makes you feel like you are welcomed with Open arms.
I can not say enough good things about this office! Let's start by saying I've been with this Dr for the last year and God knew what he was doing when he sent her my way! Shes great! Very easy to talk too! Her office… staff is simply amazing! Those girls are some of the sweetest! Every time I go in for my appointment I feel like we've all been friends forever when in reality we barely no one another, but I love that bond! These girls are always lifting me up! Whether I'm paying my bill or getting my vitals done, they always make me feel so comfortable an liked! I promise, if u are looking for Dr, Mrs Vicki an her girls, (ALL OF THEM) will not disappoint you!
I just love the staff! Shannon is so amazing she is very helpful, friendly n professional. Vicky is so great! She listens to me, I really feel like she cares n wants to help her patients! Now Delores, she is awesome!… She is a wonderful therapist! Shes has helped me work through things that I thought I would never tell anyone. She didnt judge me or make me feel awkward in anyway! I feel like I could tell her anything. If your searching for the right place.. well you just found it!!! 😁
The staff are super friendly and always encourage the patients to be the best versions of themselves. I am very comfortable with everyone in the office and can speak to them freely and easily without worry. Highly… recommend if you live near the Frederick MD area!!
My husband is a patient at Open Arms. My experience with them is always great! I love the office staff as they are always so friendly helpful all around great people! The doctor is great as she always is asking about… things that are going on at home. I would recommend this office to anyone anytime! You won't be disappointed!
Omg I love it..the lady's in that office are amazing..they make you feel so welcomed and comfortable it's great I wouldn't go anywhere else.
I've been with open arms and open minds going on 3 months and would recommend you go there if you need their assistance Shannon, and Dolores are very helpful and easy to work with one of the best experience I've had so… far considering the fact that before finding them i had to wait almost a month just to take an intake at other competing locations who didn't seem very genuine to begin with
Great staff I love the fact that “Shannon”make me feel so comfortable when I enter the building, great person the Doctor are also amazing I would recommend this place to any one who is in need of help Thank you
