The employees post people’s business all over Facebook, especially when it comes to domestic abuse. Not a good look.

The latest case aid brought bed bugs to my apartment. I have sent proof and received admission by the case aid that she been treating her home for bed bugs and It has been confirmed (by an apology that "they didn't know… until I sent pictures") with one of the supervisors, "Michaela", who first told me it was acne marks on her legs until I told her I record every one of my visits and my aunt asked the case aid what the marks were on her legs and she told my aunt ther were bug bites. She then said there was a bug issue and she moved into her coworkers house and there hasn't been an issue since the weekend. Michaela refuses to respond to any of my messages, The situation was discovered on the 1st, and the most she has done is cancel my visit with my child. So if you suddenly have a bed bug situation that has started within a month ago it might be your child's case aid. I've been trying to reach someone further up but I don't get a call back. I suppose next will be the head of department of health and human services.

I have been a foster parent for 6 years and in the last two years we switched from Catholic Charities to Wellspring and WOW what a positive change. The team at Wellspring is phenomenal. We have taken a couple really… tough cases and kids with high needs and the agency team was available and willing to support in anyway possible. They also helped us apply for a grant so we could continue fostering when we thought we'd have to close our license. I appreciate all the work they do and it seems as though there is less turn over at Wellspring then what we saw at Catholic Charities. High turnover can be hard on foster families because it truly becomes a partnership in parenting both with the agency and the foster family. They host events, celebrate foster families, have community engagement events and their communication is excellent. They utilize facebook and monthly newletters to communicate very useful information. They are also great at communicating upcoming training. Highly recommend.

I wish I could leave comments for all of the ladies that have had to tolerate this place. They have no communication whatsoever. All they've done is lie, and I've left multiple voicemails, even with supervisors and… nobody ever calls back. But they go out of their way to tell other people that are irrelevant answers to questions that should be confidential..and are all lies anyway. They say they can help with all sorts of resources, but never do. Then blame the people they are supposed to be helping, people that are begging for help, for not getting help. I won't put the specific names out there, but I hope they see this and know that they are really hurting children and their families of not even myself and my niece and nephew that would have a comfortable loving home , but so many others as well. It's sad. But some people prefer a paycheck over doing what is right. Special shout out to judge Gardner. Google her name. She is probably the root of all of our problems.

Definitely does not deserve any stars, but it will only let me put 1. Lack of communication with workers AND foster parents, if they even message me back, so many lies and false accusations. Can't see my kids, making… cps reports on me when I was always supervised ON VIDEO at the agency and I still get accused of things that I never did. Will not give me video footage (if they even keep it). I ask for things to help my situation, and they don't answer to that either. I have so much more I could put, but thats all I'm going to put in this review. If you get this agency, I definitely recommend you try going to a different one if possible.

I would give 0 stars if I could but the next best is 1 and they don’t deserve 1 star. They manage to make everything so much more difficult then it needs to be. Its terrible being under the guardianship of Wellsprings… cross your fingers that you don’t get them and get a better agency. Hopefully you’re more lucky then me. Definitely don’t recommend affiliating with them IN ANY WAY.

One star bc Zero stars is not an option. Horrible agency. Lazy. Incompetent. My kids are not in care but their half siblings are. Supposed to get monthly visits but all we get are excuses. State of Michigan should 86… this contract. Cut off their state and federal funding. If you have similar experiences file a complaint with Lansing Child Welfare Services ASAP.

This place is playing a lot of games and will not place our grandson back within the family when there are many capable people that are willing to take him in..... if your involved with these people best thing is to… lawyer up immediately...

Terrible organization. Dealing with these people is impossible and they have no compassion or knowledge of how to deal with children.

Horrible, I have to agree with Michael McElheny, Terrible Communication with Foster Parents. I don't believe that they do everything possible for what is in the best interest of the children and /or the families… involved. I also would not recommend this place, Michael is right there are much better agency's in the Grand Rapids and the surrounding area. I feel really bad for the children and families

Horrible, Terrible Communication with Foster Parents. Concern is not for the Kiddo's but $$$. I would not recommend this place, there are much better agency's in the Grand Rapids area.
