Easterseals MORC – Pontiac Detox and Rehab Services

The provision listed at Easterseals MORC – Pontiac is detox, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Supervised withdrawal comes first, with the greatest danger in the opening seventy-two hours. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

Combined treatment is not recorded, which is worth checking before committing. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

Easterseals MORC – Pontiac Address, Location and Contact Information

1685 Baldwin Avenue, Pontiac, Michigan, 48340 is the address held. This address falls in Oakland County. The site also serves the surrounding area, and anyone traveling in should confirm the route before setting out. Journey time and parking are not trivial details when treatment runs several times a week over months.

A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

*** BEWARE NOTICE FOR ALL PATIENTS & FUTURE PATIENTS *** Easterseals has compromised my information, which turned out shortly a week after I discontinued services with them. I received a phone call from “Easterseals”… which was their business phone number - this phone call came from a PATIENT. This “patient” was attempting to schedule an appointment with someone named “Jennifer”. I reported this ASAP to the so-called “caseworker” Jose Parra. I escalated this to Rocio, their manager in this facility as well. We are almost at the 2 week mark, Rocio claimed that she would send this to the IT Department at the beginning, she never did as she JUST mentioned less than 10 minutes ago as of this posting that she would send it to them. Rocio also mentioned that she would call me back, I have had to reach out to her myself several times now. Rocio was upset because I “threatened” by saying I will report this. IF MY PERSONAL INFORMATION IS COMPROMISED THEN ABSOLUTELY I WILL REPORT THIS - ESPECIALLY AFTER IT BEING ALMOST 2 WEEKS WITH NO ACTION. Rocio claims that the program supervisors is out on vacation and thats why she cannot do anything at this moment - well it’s good to know that a “mental health” facility has your back when they messed up. *** THIS BUSINESS IS VERY UNRELIABLE AND JUST THINKS OF THEIR PATIENTS AS A DOLLAR SIGN - UNDERSTAND THAT *** UPDATE: 2 WEEKS LATER AS OF TODAY I ONLY HAVE RECEIVED CONTACT FROM 1 SUPERVISOR. HER NAME IS EMILDA - SHE SUPERVISES THE SOUTHFIELD OFFICE AS WELL AND TOLD ME I WOULD NOT HAVE TO CALL HER THAT SHE WOULD CONTACT ME ASAP AS SHE SAYS SHE IS “NOSY”. I have left a few voicemails for her and Easterseals national office, a worker from the Southfield office claimed to send Emilda an email about the contact I attempted to make. They have all not responded. IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF EASTERSEALS PLEASE LEAVE THIS CORRUPTED ESTABLISHMENT AND FIND ACTUAL CARE ELSEWHERE. AFTER GETTING TO KNOW THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR HIGH TURNOVER RATES YOU WOULD BE AMAZED TO SEE WHAT OTHER CLINICS CAN OFFER. DO NOT DO A DISSERVICE TO YOURSELF. YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS. * UPDATED AGAIN - THEY STILL HAVE ME IN THEIR SYSTEM AS A PATIENT AFTER SUPPOSEDLY “TERMINATING” Easterseals management Emilda does not hold her word nor does she communicate. Is diabolical how no one ever answers the phone. The communication is all wrong when it comes down to getting prescriptions. My son has been without his medicine for months now due to their lack the of. Three days for… someone to contact you back about your medicine just for you never to get contacted.

shit organization. just because they are uncomfortable with my cursing they call the police. no threats or anything. shit organization. Their therapist absolutely suck.how many times do they stare with blank expressions… and wait for someone to talk? Absolutely a waste of time and not helpful

I'd give them a zero honestly, my case worker forgets who I am and never called when I scheduled a phone appointment, lack of help is also another problem. They don't seem to care about me at all.

My daughter receives in school visits from an Easter seal therapist... It's supposed to be weekly but, on average works out to every 3rd week. We are NEVER informed of cancellations! We simply have to wait for an… explanation 2 -3 weeks later, when the therapist decides to show up! Not entirely sure how detrimental it is but I am assuming it does NOT contribute to improving her over all wellness!

You people are pathetic and screw your policy. You're willing to let people go through withdrawals instead of helping to get refills. It takes hours, even days to get help. I'm ending my services. You don't care about… the mental well-being of anyone.

I see a bunch of bad reviews here and so I felt compelled to leave a good one. My own experience at Easterseals has only been since early June 2025, but I must express that they do have some wonderful staff here and… they've been mostly pleasant and quite helpful in addressing my needs and concerns. My caseworker's been very positive and actually quite responsive when it comes to communication, which truly makes all the difference for me, personally. I feel she genuinely cares. My psychiatrist and therapist also have been great in similar ways. I can't say enough good things about these amazing women! Sure, front end staff seem off or a bit grumpy or just burned out sometimes, but, honestly I can't blame them - I wouldn't be able to deal with the job well myself! It'd annoy the hell out of me dealing with so many people all day. We all get tired of work at times, we're all only human ya know. (I only mentioned this because of the negatory comments I read regarding the initial staff). Lastly, their transportation guys are also awesome! I think what it all comes down to is your own personal attitude, tolerance, and the ability to have compassion and understanding from other perspectives in these type of places when it comes to staff interactions and services in general. I use the Genoa pharmacy there as well, and they've always been great. You get what you give in life or what you put into things folks. It's also good to remember we can't truly control anything outside of ourselves, only what's within us. But, I digress - to each their own. I hope this helps those considering using Easterseals or continuing to utilize their services. Peace and Love! I wish you all the best.

Complete joke, we had pills issued and had a bad reaction 3 weeks ago and have still to receive a call back. If you are looking for mental health help, this is definitely not the place. There really should be some… oversight on these mental health organizations, because it looks as though these people are making issues not resolving them. Keep looking if you need real help and not just another organization issuing pills. We have been in the mental health space for over a decade and TTI and Easterseals adults services are the worst. Easter seals kids seems to be the exact opposite.

If you’re looking for a Therapist at Easter Seals Pontiac, go elsewhere. Easter seals Pontiac does not have any therapists available. I’ve been on a waiting list for over a year. They referred me elsewhere for care.… Edit: Maya Assaf labeled me a drug addict and I have my entire medical record for her to see. This happened after I signed up after a workman’s comp injury. Destroyed my whole case. My phone number should be on file and I will gladly bring those records up for Maya to see. I don’t have health insurance and between labs (all passed by the way). Prescriptions, and multiple appointments, I no longer have the desire or means to participate.

If I could rate it negative 100,000 Stars I would! This is the absolute worst place to get help.. you wait for hours upon hours and the waiting room when there's nobody even here for your appointment and no one's… waiting it's ridiculous not only that they claim to offer tons of services that they absolutely 100% do not if you're thinking of going anywhere and getting mental health a help I highly recommend you research other places other than Easter seals morc

Update 3/20/25: Upon leaving this review, the medical director here went absolutely above and beyond to fix any issues that I had and went completely out of their way to accommodate my needs on a level I’ve never… experienced at any doctors office in my life. In fact, I’m incredibly grateful for the doctors here, and although their front desk staff could clearly use some work in professionalism and providing proper compassionate care to patients, especially around the holidays, I must say this place is lead with compassionate, heartfelt, loving people who truly care about their patients. I wish that was more obvious from the beginning. I thank Easterseals for the way they went above and beyond for me. Thank you Original Review 12/20/24: Once again, I just called to figure out how to proceed with a prior authorization in 2025 with the medical assistant because my medication will no longer be covered by my insurance in 2025. While the medical assistant and I were communicating, someone working there in the background began screaming and shouting at me in the most unbelievably rude unprofessional manner. Literally shouting and screaming at me in the background. I did not raise my voice one single time. I am so unbelievably shocked I am genuinely afraid for my health and wellbeing regarding my professional health with this company. I have been trying to call back to speak to a supervisor just to make sure my medication is being taken care of and I am getting ignored over and over again at the front desk. This feels intentional and I am begging someone from this company to please contact me directly. The stress and toll this is taking on my mental health is making my mental health even worse when this establishment was supposed to help mental health in our community. Please someone contact me directly so I can get support I need for my mental health.

Worst place ever. I would give it a negative if I could. Please DO NOT go here if you are looking for help! I won’t go into details. Staff is rude, no one answer calls and NEVER get returned calls. PLEASE if you’re… looking for mental help for a loved one AVOID this place by all means. My husband is worse now than when he first started there.

I would love to be the savior and add a 5 star review, unfortunately I can't be that guy. I can however say that there are more positives than other reviewers may lead you to believe. Yes, it is very disheartening with… the amount of time it takes to get anything done here let alone get a straight forward answer however with some perseverance the wheels do slowly start turning. I have been able to fulfill my needs here on a regular basis, although I do still run into hiccups frequently. The staff turnover seems to be frequent so I can only imagine that lends itself to trying to run a smooth operation. It also seems a good portion of the staff is either jaded or indifferent to the patients, putting in the minimum effort to get through the day and making you feel like YOU are an inconvenience to them. There are a few that put in genuine effort, when you come across one of them hold on for dear life. The building itself is nice and well kept. I wish there were more good things i could say as for the most part they have addressed my needs but not without adding to my stress level significantly. My advice, come here long before it's a necessity, expect a drawn out wait period with unfounded resistance and fingers crossed they will produce results.

Rude administrative people always answer the phone. This is a mental health facility, do better. Also noted that a therapist told me to “find a private practice” if I want culturally competent care for my father. No.… Culturally competent care should be included in ALL healthcare regardless if you’re a nonprofit. Coming from a therapist herself that was trying to find care for my father, I am disappointed. I am appreciative of the support provided along with language translation services (who was actually a terrible translator though) but all mental health should be inclusive. With that being said, the kindest interaction I’ve had was with the Samantha, the intake coordinator. You need more workers like her.

Save yourself time and find an actual provider. This place will have you wait to see a provider for over 3 hours after they've cancelled your telehealth appointment. The other option was to wait over a week for another… appointment. The service is sub par. No security in the waiting room. Push you through like sheep. No care or concern. No good flow to the walk in patients. Treating most of the people who walk in here like they're a burden or annoying them while they're trying to do their work? Hm. Easter seals Southfield way better.

This place has met me where I'm at. They help me by keeping me accountable by showing up when I am supposed to and they help guide me to successfully meet the goals I set out for myself. Victoria, my case manager, has… been there for me whenever I do not understand something, and the nurse Practitioner has been insightful in helping me navigate any medication question I have to help me find the right one. You get out of it what you're willing to put into it. You're worth the mental health investment. They are there to help.

Maria from Mexico! I think that was her name? She was super cute and most important she was kind. People come here for help they don't need the attitude from the front desk or anyone working I'm in mental health. So… this is for maria from Mexico and also there was another sweetheart at the front that got me in to see Maria after she seen a coworker that was out of line a bit. No hard feelings we all have bad days and we are all human. Wake up everyday and be better than YOU were the day before.

It’s always something. Always a 20 minute hold. The doctors are great so far, the staff on the other hand always seem so annoyed, rude or just not happy to be awake I guess. Not good for a mental health place. Makes my… anxiety feel like I’m bothering them so I hate calling to schedule anything or try to figure my meds out. I’m definitely gonna be going somewhere else as soon as I can🫤

I used to love this place. I started my mental health journey here in 2018. I recently moved and was trying to get ahold of some genesight testing results from 2020, for my current psychiatrist. I drove 45 minutes from… home (because they said they couldn't email, fax, or send over the results in any way because it would violate HIPPA, which I don't see how, considering it's my own test result.) Only to be told when I arrived, that I never completed the test, which is impossible, because the medications I was previously prescribed were discussed with the results of my testing with my previous psychiatrist at easter seals. This place is lazy, they do not want to help you, they're only in it for the money, and they way that went down just proved it to me. Fast forward a few days, I did a little research and found the genesight testing website, so I emailed them, curious if they had my results. They did, in fact, I now have a full copy of my psychotropic report. I hope everyone who is currently receiving services here happens to find a diamond in the rough, or moves on, because not only was I lied to, I was turned away with a "sorry, there's nothing we can do." When in fact, it would've only taken a little bit more digging on their part. It's a shame what this place has come to.
