One of the best places to find yourself with the help and support of not only the counselors but from all the staff. Very helpful with all things recovery plus the other things that come along with it.. Very… perfessional at the same time truly caring and supportive staff.. I really have to say that ARS has given me my life back & have helped me through some of the most difficult times I've had to face by i never felt alone they have always made me feel that they are in my corner and have showed it as well.. I would recommend this Recovery Center to anyone struggling with addiction... Thank You again going on a Lil over 10 yrs here & have not touched my DOC.
I’m glad I decided to come here years ago it saved my life!! And after many regime changes, Kevin the director has this. Place running the best it ever has!! And I have the greatest counselor there is Blanca!!!!!
I've been a client here for more years than id like to admit but at least I'm alive today to leave this comment. I struggled with heroin addiction for 20+ years and I just couldn't completely shake it until I almost… lost my life from an overdose and wound up on life support for 3 days. When I opened my eyes and saw the look on my loved ones faces I just knew I had to do something. They say that you can't get sober for other people and If you're not doing it for yourself then you won't succeed. I beg to differ on that one. My family members give me purpose and the drive I need to stay on the right path. I couldn't have cared less about myself so doing it for that reason wasn't going to work. But everyone is different. I def have to give credit to methadone though. I never get the urge to use heroin so that's huge. As far as ARS goes it's really not any different than other clinics I've been to. The one difference, however, is I have an amazing counselor that really gets me. Her name is Blanca and she is one of a kind. She's the first of dozens of counselors I've had over the years that Ive been able to tell my life story to without feeling like I'm being judged. She's one of a kind and I'm so grateful for her. So yeah, ARS is okay. The staff members are all awesome. Of course I have to mention Lorraine, cause she's been the receptionist since I first came to ARS. She's amazing as well. The one big thing is NOT making friends or starting new relationships with the people af the clinic. I've learned that the hard way. Stay to yourself and methadone can save your life too. Im living proof of that. Life is not always sunshine and rainbows but I'm lucky to have the experiences I have each day. I never forget where I came from and how easily I could end up back there if I don't stay in the fight. I show up for my loved ones now. My sister and her daughter have both lost their fight so I will continue fighting for them as well.
They are going to help if you want help if not then you get what you put in. You can lie to all clinics to get what you want these people just don't pretend you're not going to get raised they do what they're allowed to… if you lied only use them you're going to get away with it if you want help or honest with them you can get help up to you they're all like that
Updated 2024 - Still grateful for ARS. The nursing & front window staff is incredible. 🖤 THEY are who holds this place together & keeps it running smoothly. But since my original review, owners have taken on even MORE… patients. I have gotten to a place where I only go 2 xs a month. So doesn't affect me as much as it will newer patients. But still wanted to make a note of it. I have to start out saying ARS is what you make of it. I have been on this program for many years (that is MY journey, maybe not yours) but i have YET to have ANY issues with staff abusing power. A legit 10 + years and not ONCE has anyone abused their power w me. 👉*IF YOU* • Come and do what you are SUPPOSED to. • LEAVE when u are done. • Stop using (u have time to adjust.) • Give clean drug tests. • Dont cause chaos & drama. •Treat everyone how YOU like to be treated. 👉You should NOT have any problems. 👉*But...If you* •Befriend all the slackers w no jobs doing nothing w their lives still. • Chill in parking lot for an hour (or until kicked out by security.). • Make BFFs w other patients that are STILL living dirty. • Find yerself a boyfriend or girlfriend that is still using OR new in recovery also. 👉 Basically if you treat this place A SOCIAL EVENT/ dating app - Yes, you WILL have issues & time there WILL suck. I do agree w/ one of the posters before me...it WAS better in Sommers Point. When we moved locations they took on WAY too many patients. When I started there was a little over 200, now there is 3 TIMES PLUS that. Staff doesnt have the time they need & have WAY too much on their caseloads. Granted, Dr.Roth is a SUPERHERO. He will gonabove and beyond for you if he knows you are doing the right thing. But for a PRIVATE (aka for profit) facility, I DO expect to get what I NEED out of it. At OVER $100 a week per patient + payouts for things we accomplish (i.e. groups, sessions, ect) it would be nice to have the community feel we once had here. It was SUCH a great place when the staff wasnt overloaded. And I mean GREAT. I understand this IS FOR PROFIT clinic but it's started to get that "state funded" feel. 😞 I mean, obvi this IS a BUSINESS, but still. There has to be a line drawn somewhere. I have moved many times for work in life so have been to 5 diff clinics. State funded AND private. I picked this place BACAUSE it was privately owned. It's STILL a great place, and i am grateful for it. Don't get me wrong... but if u knew how much better it was run BEFORE the move - you'd understand. Again-Stay away from the slackers & drama queens/kings. Do what you are supposed to do. Give clean drug tests, Go to at least 1 group OR see yr councelor for alternate ways if u have a career/work days. GET A JOB or go to school & make something of yourself. Nothing will change if YOU don't. 💕JUST KEEP ALL THIS IN MIND. IT IS 80% WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT AT ARS XO Jess
Met me where I was and was very understanding and encouraging. I was accepted into the program as where I was not accepted into another program without going inpatient despite my circumstances. I am very grateful.… Today, about 4 months later, my life is so much different and going in the right direction. I am making progress everyday.
This place was great 👍, the people here treated me with the most respect, they answered all my questions and got me in the program fast, Thanks
Everyone here is very nice ESPECIALLY MY COUSLER MS.Knight ,She is very helpful and a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL COUSLER
Such a great place, Natalie Knight is my counselor & by far the best one. She’s always there whenever I need any counseling or anything.
ARS has been a great help to my sobriety. My counselor mrs.knight has been amazing she really cares about her clients. She has always been there when I have needed her and she always checked in on me on a regular basis.… ARS as a hole has been great all employees are there to help when you need it. If you do what is asked of you in your treatment plan your life can do a complete 180 you just have to use the resources ARS has available to you.
😊🙏ARS is great and the staff is wonderful and helpful😊
If you use and sell drugs a great place to be. If you are clean and sober for several years, get off this program. ASAP
John Brooks is harm prevention ars is harm reduction which is common sense it can't be prevented by punishment
I wish I had come here sooner. I have been treated with kindness and respect since my first phone call when I decided to get help. They have so many helpful programs and also have trauma therapy counseling. I have been… going now for almost three months and I have only encountered kindness, caring, and respect from all the employees. They offer so many helpful programs and even if it's something they don't offer, they are willing to assist you in finding what you are looking for. I encourage everyone to take advantage of everything they have to offer. Even if you don't think they offer it, just ask, you might be surprised. 💖💖💖
Great place. Employees are polite.
So I started at ARS In Mays Landing I’m April if this year and must say I literally have the best counselor everrrr !!! Her name you might be asking is Leslie Bailey she gos hard for clients that are hers an even ones… that are not she runs an amazing women’s group on Saturday morning for all lady’s in the program an then there is her other group held on Wednesday’s by the wonderful Miss. Leslie and if you can not get there guess what you can get her on line .. sometimes actually to no fault of her own the online “Teams” website does not always work but she is always there to try an help love this women ##❤️… Then we have my second favorite Mr. Dave great man an counselor very good at listening an getting things done for a client an his group on Saturday also at 8:30 am is wonderful. So if your looking for help this is the place that will assist you in getting sober as they don’t put high expectations on you however they also are not gonna baby you! This program will work as long as you work at the beginning I looked at ARS as my new dealer excepted they were dealing me a second chance at life an for my father not to have to bury me using his life insurance money cause you all know as well as me that we usually don’t have money in our hands past an hour in closing if your from South Jersey an want to live clean an sober I would call ARS # sober for a hot minute but alive
I was seen here for intake and since my urine did not test for Fentanyl, the Dr recommended suboxone even though I have already been a patient at this clinic. The Dr was rather rude in my opinion as well. He told my… fiance & I the same thing, had to send out our urine's. They have received them DAYS ago & we have been calling every single day & still no call back!! People don't try to get in here for them fun of it, its because they really need to be here & somehow people just seem to "fall through the cracks" which is unacceptable! Mailbox's are almost always full too. No one answers the phone after 1pm either ive noticed even though they close at 2. The nurses are amazing as well, but other then that.. Forget about it.
So I called the# you provided and no answer and answering.machine full. That's a reason you got 1 star. I have called 45 times and still no call back.. update I called the number you provided me only to get an answering… machine that was full
You get what you give. They have a few great counselors that stay, but unfortunately, their counselor turnover is crazy. Idk what higher ups could do to get counselors to stay, but from my POV they're wasting their own… profits to constantly "train" new people & service suffers. Clients cant feel comfortable. People that really need support & guidance try to open up, just to come in the next day and have your 5th cnslr that year. Nursing/medical staff are great! Basically, if you are doing right, you'll feel it,.No one is out to get anyone, that's a fact. Anyone who says different is causing their own issues, I bet. If you're failing drug screens & not working towards recovery, you'll have a negative experience anywhere, but they help get people clean. I've never had a bad experience that wasn't stemmed from my own actions. Do good, & good happens. Lorraine @ the front desk is awesome at her job. She's got allot on her plate but she's exactly what clients need. Firm & kind. Chris, Kathleen, D &, Jamira are the best nurses ever. Of course Whitney gets everything done with a smile & Jenn (G. I think) are the 2 best counselors. They've been there a while, they care, & plan to stay cuz they make a difference. FIVE STARS FOR ARS 👋🎉🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Called to be put on hold for 10 mins two different time. Very unprofessional.
Will not answer the phone and lady at front desk acts as if I wasn't worth her time
