Dr. Kingsley Oyem always helpful and responsive. He cares.

It has many interns (unpaid) running sessions and those sessions are not as good when the certified therapist’s conduct a session.

The therapists are nice but a little young for my liking. Group therapy was not very helpful for me but it did seem to help others. James is not a good psychiatrist. Would not recommend this location for that reason… alone.

I have always had a seamless time working with GenPsych Livingston with referrals for clients in need of care! The staff is wonderful + the site location is super easy and convenient!

Going to Genpsych ha really improved not only my mental health but allowed me to meet new people. Everyone really cares about the clients and allows for a safe space to express what’s on their mind. The therapist as… well as Max and Provy make sure the check in goes smoothly. Thanks for everything.

Great place with informative staff

This place and these people have genuinely brought the light back into my life. The accountability and transparency asked of you has taught me how to be mindful and know myself better. I would recommend this place and… the DBT program to anyone who’s looking to learn how to communicate their emotions or engage in habit changing behavior. You have to put in the work to reap the benefits, but the hard times now feel worth it to be in the place I am now. Thank you Gen psych!

Great experience here. Kayla P is incredible. med management was a DISASTER. Still, I highly recommend the program and I would do it again, despite the poor med management, just to be with Kayla again.

Best facility for treatment of Dual Diagnoses and mental health. 10/10 reviews - very receptive, caring, kind, intellectual, capable and grounding staff. I’ve been here just 3 weeks and I can already tell the… difference. I’m more grounded, mindful and feel more calm and peaceful. GenPsych teaches you skills to deal with life. CBT, DBT, mindfulness, coping skills and much more. The entire staff is nice, knows exactly what they’re doing and they personalize treatment as much possible. Best thing that’s happened to me in the past 2.5 years ❤️ God bless!

Going to the Livingston GenPsych was one of the best things I have ever done for myself - if not the best thing I have ever done for myself. The therapists there are incredible - Julie, Charlotte, Mike, Kayla, Eric are… all fantastic, incredible people who have changed so many lives including my own. They truly care. The office receptionist, Provy, is a queen and a kind, friendly face who instantly makes you feel safe and the security guard, Max, is a gem as well. It is such a great, loving place and it is what you make it. The DBT program saved my life - it is hard, but give yourself up to it. :)

my one on one therapist was fine its just the entire rest of the company sucks. the billing department either doesnt know how to pick up the phone or just gives a half assed response and the problem isnt resolved at… all. theres literally 0 communication with them. even just trying to get my OWN documents is "confidential information". but its totally fine if another person in the group sessions can stream private information to their entire family. customer service side sucks too youd have more productive conversation with a brick wall then trying to get a word in with them the outpatient program is awful too. please dont go here it isnt worth it at all. you do not get taught anything either. its basically like theyre talking to kindergarteners instead of fully grown adults. genuinely please do not pick this place unless you want 0 communication outside of any sessions. this was one of the biggest wastes of my time and money that i will never get back.

This is a throwaway account for my own privacy. I did the PHP and IOP program at GenPsych in Livingston after I got out of the hospital. I am indebted to the staff, counselors, and fellow clients. I was at my lowest… point and am able to say now that I am the healthiest I've ever been, and it's in part because of this program. One drawback I noticed is that they did have high turnover while I was there and seemed to have a lot of newer counselors who were not as experienced, but the DBT program is something that can be administered by anyone. If you're hesitating about doing this, I'd recommend it.

So I attended the intensive outpatient DBT program here for several months, and it was a challenging, emotional and also wonderful, rewarding experience. My therapist, Kayla, was incredible - very relatable and… down-to-earth, compassionate and yet still held me accountable. The front desk staff and other DBT session leaders were great too - shout-out to Provi! If you've made it this far into my review and are debating whether or not to try the DBT program: DO IT. Commit, do the homework, participate in the groups, and it will be the first (big) step towards a better life.

Genpsych is an incredible care to their clients. The incredibly gifted therapist we worked with, Kayla, what a perfect match for our family member. Kayla is incredibly intuitive and was able to connect toniur family… member at a critical time in their treatment. Kayla also does an exception at holding space for our family when larger conversations are needed. We are so greatful for Genpsych and incredibly thankful for the care, consideration and continued treatment Kayla gives to our loved one.

I attended GenPsych Livingston's IOP and PHP programs for eating disorders over the course of five months. I could not have asked for better care. My therapist, Paige, was easy to talk to, understanding, and caring… during individual sessions and so much fun to work with during group therapy. My dietitian, Anna, was knowledgeable and would challenge you in a gentle way. She runs lunch most days and always tries her best to make it a stress-free environment by playing games, telling stories, etc. All of the other therapists who would run groups were equally equipped and made each and every group unique, memorable, and most of all, useful. I cannot recommend GenPsych enough, their staff truly saved my life. I also made some really great relationships with the other patients.

GenPsych has been very helpful for my growth and development! I've spent a total of two months under their DBT program and it has helped me navigate many complex situations that I have gone through and will go through… in the future.

Hi. GenPsych, Livingston changed, and probably saved, my life. I struggle with mental health, and was at one of my lowest points when I entered program. I felt, on the other hand, healed when I left program.… Consequently, I can’t say enough positive things about the staff and interns at this healing, transformative organization. My GenPsych therapist and doctor were excellent, and the group therapy sessions were transformative. Thanks for your help & keep up the great work.

★☆☆☆☆** After five years as a patient, I am incredibly frustrated with the service here. Getting my medication refills has been a nightmare. I've called more than eight times in just three days, and the response from… the providers is painfully slow. I am beyond mad at this point. It feels like they only care about collecting money rather than providing proper care. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
