Hope Center – Orchard Park Detox and Rehab Services

The register shows Hope Center – Orchard Park providing intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

Co-occurring mental health conditions are addressed alongside substance use, which is the approach the evidence supports. Ask directly about session times and frequency, as those details decide whether someone can realistically attend.

Hope Center – Orchard Park Address, Location and Contact Information

The site is at 3775 Southwestern Boulevard in Orchard Park, New York, 14127. The city lies within Erie County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. Journey time and parking are not trivial details when treatment runs several times a week over months.

A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

Uninsured rehab in New York generally costs $1,500 to $6,000 a month for standard outpatient care. RehabSeekers could not find Hope Center – Orchard Park’s own prices at the time of writing, and those amounts describe the state, not this facility.

My 9 year old saw Dr. Burke for his annual last Friday. She came into the exam room 70 minutes after his appointment time, which I understand running behind, but there was no mention or apology for waiting over an hour… to see her. She went through a few basic questions then asked if his Dad still lived out of town which I confirmed. (It’s documented in his chart for the last 5 years and I don’t have him listed as a contact) then asked , in an assuming tone, well you guys talk all the time right? To which he said no and her face was so shocked, like what, I’m so surprised and then with that shocked tone she said well you must visit right, you must just see each other a lot then to which he replied no again and he looked deeply uncomfortable by her questions/body language/tone. She then looked at me and was like, what, but what does he mean? And I stated that no, there is not much of a relationship but kept my response short. She continued to ask questions about that side of the family, visiting, how often he talks to grandparents, etc. Then she says, very emphatically, well! Let me just say that “they” ALWAYS come back, they always regret it and they ALWAYS come back and apologize and want to be back in your life again. And then she asked if he knew it wasn’t his fault and he said um yeah I know, of course it isn’t my fault. And she’s like oh okay good but just remember he’s the one missing out and I’m sure he’ll reach out and ask your forgiveness at some point. Then started asking if his grandparents spoil him and what he has for family in the area. I am absolutely floored by her audacity, the level of inappropriate questioning, her entire demeanor frankly in front of my son. She has absolutely no idea what conversations he and I have had, there were no questions about his emotional health in regards to the situation that would have made it make a little bit of sense why she was asking at all. It was deeply uncomfortable and we will not be returning. The rest of the staff there are all great and we’ve have a good experience when he was able to see a PA there for his past annuals. Dr. Burke was absolutely terrible and I am still just taken aback by the whole appointment.

Very dissatisfied. Office manager lacks compassion and professionalism for your needs. Thought AI made an appointment. Arrived for the phantom appointment. Very sick and needing attention. Have a very sick husband at… home. I should not leave him very long. They could see me at 2. I was there at 10. No one could find 10 minutes to squeeze me in and get me seen They offered to call the police to make me leave. Now at urgent care Good bye Amy Burk....I'm done with you and your staff

Not helpful at all. Used to be better but going downhill. Every symptom I complained about required a referral to a different doctor. Then I moved and asked them not to change my access to my records while I transferred… everything and literally within hours I could not access any of my medical info at all. Should have just cancelled my appt at the last second so they I wouldn’t lose access to my own info!

Worst medical office ever. I had to cancel a couple of appointments due to life situations. Then they canceled my appointment bc my NP left the practice. I made another appointment but couldn’t make it bc I tested… positive for covid, called them to let them know and a week later they sent me a letter stating that they were dropping me as a patient and I should find a new MD. Never asked me if I needed any help, medication or asking how I was faring. Just sent a letter informing me that they were dropping me from their service. Worst medical service ever!!

It is my opinion that this practice cares more about getting favorable grades from the insurance company then treating their patients seriously. On many occasions I had to beg them for medical tests, only to be denied.… In my opinion, my health concerns were dismissed as not serious and I was made to feel like no one believed what I was saying. It is a common occurrence to see the owner's dogs in the office. I love dogs but a health care facility is not the place for them. It is my opinion that this doctor's office did not work with me and did not put my health as a priority.

If I could give negative stars, I would. The receptionist staff are rude, arrogant, and do the bare minimum, even putting people on hold for outrageous amounts of time. They say they're busy, but their lobby isn't ever… busy enough for the amount of time they put a patient on hold, trust me. The doctor, (and owner), of the practice likes to play God with her patients' health. Amy does not care about how much the patient knows their body, she just does and prescribes whatever SHE thinks you need, even if you tell her you don't respond properly to the medication (has happened to a family member of mine). She does not actually listen to your concerns. When she does listen, it's to argue your own personal, religious, and political beliefs; even telling another patient (someone I know personally) that they were going to die because they didn't want the Covid vaccine (where's the medical and scientific proof of that?). She likes to falsify documentation. And, if you're a woman, your health issues are caused by excessive weight, as if the doctor is any smaller than the average American woman. And, on top of all that, she makes those who see her, not a PA, wait in the lobby for 30-45+ minutes after the SCHEDULED appointment time, because she doesn't care for anyone else. Furthermore, most doctors in the area show judgement towards this office, even apologizing for your negative medical experience. AND, more often than not, said doctors re-run the tests that Amy has ordered and examined. How bad is a doctor at their job if the other doctors in the area double check ALL of their work? I can't tell you who to choose for your PCP, but I don't recommend this place. Well...only if you can JUST see one of the PAs, because they are the ONLY good and caring staff on the premise. Good luck on your search, but save yourself the time, disregard, and frustration. 🫡

Wasn’t really good for much of anything. Didn’t want to touch any mental health issues without needing a specialist to do it for me, regardless of past diagnosis. Had to fight tooth and nail for any test i wanted done… for a chronic health issue just desperate for answers. So if you want a basic run of the mill physical with no other concerns or conditions, sure try here, i guess. Would be 1 star but at least they weren’t rude about it anytime and i feel bad as it is, but this unfortunately was the reality for me so can’t go higher than 2 stars

I have been a patient for many many years. I forgot to bring my insurance card to one appointment but indicated I would come back right after my appointment with it but was refused my appointment. I have insurance, was… a long time patient ,but for forgetting to bring my card with me early in the morning because I was caring for my mother (also her patient) I was refused my appointment. Dr. Burke is no longer my physician.

Dr. Burke and all of her staff are wonderful! I've been a patient for several years and have been pleased with every visit and the care I receive from every practitioner. They are all caring, knowledgeable, and have my… health and best interests in mind. The office is extremely organized and I never have a long wait. They are on the ball, and in the few instances when I did need to be seen immediately they were able to accommodate me. I highly recommend Dr. Burke and Sunrise Medical Group.

This practice definitely had a “honeymoon” phase for myself & my family & the first visit it was almost over but I did like the care providers. First off, if you see Dr. Burke (which is required for kids 2 & under) pack… some snacks & lots of toys because you will wait for an hour then it’s like she’s surprised why your there so you wait even longer to get your child’s vaccines, tests, or whatever is needed. The PA’s you won’t wait as long & honestly I like them the best. On 3 separate occasions now my kids were not seen & either told to “wait it out” (this ended up being flu b), go to the urgent care, or our most recent experience of being told to drink pedialyte despite my message I left saying “she can’t keep liquids down” & relaying information about what POISON CONTROL told us to do. We went to the urgent care, got incredible care & my child was better within a few hours. Lastly, if you’re batting any sort of infertility, indelicate comments will be made especially in regards to your choice of what to do with your embryos whether you ask or not. Unfortunately we’re stuck here until I find a new PCP since my due date is fast approaching as are our yearly check ups but as soon as we find someone, we will not be back. I give 2 stars because the PA’s are fantastic when you can get them to see you. Updated to one after receiving their letter from the dr extending her best wishes & giving us 30 days to find a new practice. I hope she has the day she deserves. What a horrible physician!

Don't waste your time here. They only care about the payday. I rarely rely on doctors but it was suggested that I get one in my support system. A year later or so they just kicked me as a patient. Veru little… explanation. Pretty confident I didn't owe a large bill. I just dont have insurance currently. Yea, missed an appt or so but I usually called and updated and paid the fine. Waste of your time.

★☆☆☆☆
Katherine Arnold3 years ago

I would definitely not recommend this place. They wouldn't let my husband come in for a strep test after requesting one bc he's not feeling well and both of my kids have it. They said he doesn't have it and doesn't need… to come in. So now he has to go to urgent care and pay a co pay bc of this!!

If you just have a doctor for routine checkups, do not go here. I am not a sick person and never have to see a doctor. I had gone in for my annual physical. After doing my own research, I wanted to get a specific blood… test added to my routine blood work, since they were going to be taking blood anyway. I had also asked for a referral to see a specialist about a separate issue, very minor, but not something that they wouldn't be able to handle in their office. I didn't ask about specific symptoms or ask to be diagnosed. At the end of the office visit, I simply got a printout of specialists in the area, that I could have easily looked on google for. Zero 'expertise' involved, nor were there any recommendations. To my surprise, I am now being billed for a regular office visit, even though there were no doctor recommendations or zero input on anything, since I knew what I was asking for (simple doctor referral and a prescription; that doesn't even work after I told her that it wouldn't before she prescribed it.) When I called to talk to them about the error, they said because a physical is to measure your height and weight and get bloodwork. Exactly what is a physical or doctor for that matter for if you are just measuring me? I can do that right at home. Not only was I dismissed when I brought up the prescription would not work, they are charging me for a 'service' that was not provided. When I called about the charge, the woman on the phone would not listen to my concerns and said the charge was correct because I had to be 'assessed', even though I did my research beforehand, and was not looked at after saying that I wanted a referral to a specialist. Not to mention, the entire appointment took less than 20 minutes. I would hate to see what a sick visit would look like at this office. And looking at the reviews, I'm not the only person who has had this experience.

I have never been treated like this from a Dr.'s Office. I called in about getting imaging done and the Girl Ashley who by the way has Always been rude. I was told I had to be seen I was In Pain and upset to then be… told I needed an appointment. I called back to schedule one to be told they would get back to me. 2 days later received a call to state I was being dropped for being rude to staff. Never have I spoke to the Dr. Amy Burke and never missed appointments or had any issues but for a Dr.'s Office to treat a patient with such Uncompassion and Disregard is Appalling. When I called back to speak to someone else to explain I was hung up on. I have never felt so violated by a Dr.'s Office and will never Refer this Office to Anyone.

I called to schedule a routine physical after not having insurance for a while, during the appointment I was asked if I had any issues going on so I said my eczema was bothering me. Now a year later I have a collections… account on my credit report from them. When I called them it first of all took days for a call back and when the rude lady did call me back she said that they don’t do physicals for new patients, I asked why I wasn’t informed of that and she didn’t have an answer. I then asked why I was never sent a bill and she said they sent the bill to an address in Pembroke NY! I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE THAT IS! When I told her that she told me she didn’t know what to tell me. I asked how to get a bill actually sent to me and she said she would mail me when. I then asked if she had my actual address and she said my address and said she had it in my folder from the paperwork I filled out! Funny how that works! So now I’m stuck paying a bill that is on my credit report because of their lack of communication and failure to look at someone’s file for the correct address! You would think the women would at least be nice since they are the ones that dropped the ball but she was horrible and nasty! Bad business practice!!!

Best doctor's office I've had, hands down. I mostly see Shannon, but have also seen Dr. Burke herself and can't recommend both enough! The practice is so efficient and responsive, and the providers are so knowledgeable.… They're also really well connected to various specialists. Shannon hooked me up with my rheumatologist who legitimately made my life worth living again. I have sent so many friends to this practice! Highly recommend.

I have been going to Sunrise Medical for a few years now. Dr. Burke is wonderful. She takes the time out to really listen to you and any issues you may have. I LOVE Shannon one of the PA’s and The PA Jamie is awesome as… well. I have seen her a few times and she was great. Super informative and helpful. Mandy is also wonderful. She’s always in a great mood and is super helpful, efficient and kind. I have had nothing but an exceptional experience since coming here and have referred others as well who also love Dr. Burke and the whole staff at Sunrise!
