Staff was great, smooth visit for my procedure. Issue was the assigned anesthesiologist (Mountain View Anesthesia) incorrectly billed my insurance so they denied the claim. The procedure was coded correctly and covered… but since the anesthesiologist used the wrong coding it was denied. Now they are sending me to collections because they refuse to fix the issue. Their response? "We have too many patients to deal with". Maybe they need fewer patients Mountain View Hospital??

I have never seen such a disgusting ICU. It is dirty, no one cleans the rooms, nurses don’t clean up after procedures, they leave dirty items all over, shift changes for the nurses are not completed to my understanding… as no one gives information on the patients or it appears that they don’t. The doctors come in for rounds anywhere from 10-3 or 4. The med surgeon area is much better but I would advise people to go to a different hospital.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR MENTAL HELP….I got admitted in the mental health facility in June 2024. It was my worst experience since some of the staff were racist with me, I was the only Mexican in there with white people and… native of America. Everyone was allowed to use their phone in front of the staff, but when I was trying to use my phone to make a payment ( bills) they didn’t allow me they didn’t allow my husband to take my phone and since my phone was blocked with my Face ID, my husband couldn’t make the payments and we end in making the payments with an additional late fee. This staff is not a NURSE when she screamed to me to not use my phone, in front of everyone, she didn’t apologize. She didn’t do shit and the lead nurse come up the next day and told me they didn’t allow me to use my phone because they were scared that my own husband was taking my money. I told them multiple times it was for making payments. Thanks to them to discrimination and screaming, everything bad that I had that week in the hospital, make it worse, now I’m scared to go to any hospital if I have any mental crisis, I’m scared people to be racist. just because I’m Mexican and I’m not white if you are any other ethnicity besides American or Native American be careful with this hospital they will not treat you right.

Completely took advantage of us. We thought our two toddler daughters may have swallowed batteries so we went to the ER to get an X ray and make sure they didn't (they did not). We were in and out in less than an hour,… took one X ray per girl, did not use any medicine or anything, and spoke to a doctor for 2 minutes. With insurance, they billed us $3,000 out of our pocket for this service. Again, we took 2 X-Rays and were in and out in less than 45 minutes. I called in several times but was not able to have any discussion about paying a smaller amount. Eventually I just started asking for their financial aid application. It took asking on 4 different phone calls to get someone to actually send it to me. Finally, we just had to elect to pay the full amount. We will never be returning here.

There is a major staffing shortage at this hospital. In the ER things ran smoothly enough, it wasn’t busy at the time. Towards the time they decided to admit me is when things started to take longer and longer. Once I… was upstairs and to my room, the staff were very friendly, and tried to be very attentive but with how short staffed they were it was hard on them. So then it started to feel like there was miss communication between nursing/us/oncall Dr. I didn’t meet the admitting Dr until well after 1-2am at that time and with what was going on with me I was to foggy brained to even think what questions I had or really understand what he was saying. When dayshift came on is when i realized how short staffed the unit was. My nurse really tried to move things along but with other pt needs it just had to happen when it could which was understandable considering. I had told the Dr I would need a referral sent to the hematologist, he argued that I would not and could make an appointment, (I found out that I in fact needed a referral sent to make the appointment). This will cause a delay in my care. I told the Dr I’d like the hospital visit notes and records sent to my PCP who isn’t part of mountain star group and wouldn’t have access to view what went on. He completely ignored me. I discharged feeling like I was being brushed off and not very confident in what the Dr had said. This is not the first time this hospital has really dropped the ball in my care personally and there for I will be going out of my way to go to another hospital in my network or pay out of pocket. People pay to much for healthcare to leave feeling the way I felt.

The staff was polite when they could be found. My husband was admitted and shortly after the nurse left due to personal reasons. We were to notified until a nurse came in 6 hours later. Nobody checked on him for those 6… hours. Yes this was at night but still check on your patients. Then the provider on staff refused to discharge him but instead said that he was leaving that to the morning provider to decide. He ended up staying longer then he should have.

I was pleasantly surprised with how great things were at the hospital for my surgery. I will admit that I was a little hesitant to have surgery at a smaller hospital, but that is where my surgeon was on the day I… needed. I had read some good reviews about Mountain View that calmed my reservations. Everything went very well. The facilities were clean and up to date, the nurses were professional, caring and helpful. The recovery room nurse made sure my pain was managed before sending me back to my room. All in all, a possibly difficult day went very smoothly.

I had the best experience as you can get when having to face a surgery as you can have. Dr’s and nurses were very attentive to my needs, polite, courteous, and reassuring a nervous patient. Thanks so much for caring.
