Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Better Life Partners
Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

They put my recovery at risk because I dont have internet ive been in the same group over 2 years and they wouldn't let me go to my group because I cant afford wifi
good resources for those on replacement therapy
This program is a lifesaver!!! I have been with Better Life Partners off and on now for over 5 years and I can honestly say that I would not be where I am now if I didn't have them for encouragement and support. I… highly recommend that anyone struggling with addiction or mental health to give BLP a try and you will not be disappointed!
It was a lot of little things for the first couple of years such as 1. saying they'd get back to me which never happened, 2. setting up appointments and then the appointments wouldn't happen and they'd insist I didn't… have an appointment - even when I had a screenshot of their text confirming the appointment, and 3. a couple of times the pharmacy couldn't reach anyone for clarification. Then I was accused of not attending my regularly scheduled group. I called and texted asking that someone have the staff involved in the group that day call me ASAP so we could clear this up because I was most definitely in group. This never happened. I was essentially called a liar. Very disappointing that a prescription as important as suboxone was held up over BLP's error and not mine. Please don't be fooled by the "convenience" of sitting at home for treatment, if someone at BLP makes a mistake you will suffer because they won't own up to their errors. This level of incompetence and disrespect should never happen to anyone. I would imagine their IT department could tell them if I logged on or not. It feels like they just refuse to admit that they're wrong.
It’s the little things. You always have to worry about your prescription not being filled out correctly. Also when you need to contact them they ignore you or take forever to contact you back. It’s clear they just don’t… care and don’t take anybody that’s struggling seriously. They also have missed 3 out of my last 4 appointments and nobody cared to contact me back. It’s all mistakes that come from miss communication and carelessness. I also understand you can only prescribe so much suboxone I understand that. I’m upset because a lot of issues I’ve been having is simply from nobody responding or caring that I have been in the ER 5 times and it’s from suboxone withdrawals.
Poor poor experience. They are either run horribly or abusing the medical and insurance billing system. The full reasoning is below - but what BLP is doing is hurting people. Addicts turn to the streets when their… medication is withheld. BLP needs to do better. I was referred to Betrer Life Partners at the end of August by the residential program I was attending. My case manager and I called before I was discharged, and did an intake and I was set up to start treatment when I was discharged out of the residential program. I had already been on Sublocade for 4 months, and I was due to get my next injection on Sept 6th. My medical records and treatment history were sent over and I had a paper copy as well. I called to set up my appointment the on Friday Aug 28th the day I was discharged. Since that call on the 28th, I have had 3 additional "intake" appointments, sent for blood work and a UA, all of which was in my records from the program I left, all while living at a respected sober house. That's now 4 intake appointments. September 6th came and went and my injection date was missed. It is now October 10th. I still have not received my shot. there is no reason 40 days later for me to still not have access to the services I had established at the end of August. One of the guys at the sober house gave me the name of his provider. I called them this morning, Oct. 10th, did my intake today, and I get my Sublocade shot on Tuesday the 14th. I have done 4 hours of intakes with BLP, I have called and asked multiple times to stress the urgency of getting the care I was promised in August, and I got nowhere. They have billed for 3 intakes, blood and lab work, and a UA. Emerald Care did all of it in a 30 min call.
I’ve been with better life for a while now. From day 1 they had a script called in with less then 4 hours. I gave my ins info and before even verified fully they was taking care of me. The worst issues I have run into… with BLP is the local pharmacy chains “ WALGREENS” Horrible!!! The biddeofrd maine location a cpuple issues and the Most Issues WALGREENS WINDHAM,Me. HORRIBLE. They have 1 women who is GREAT that works there. Bascially I was always being delayed on getting meds by Walgreens. They’d “ make up “ fake “PA” requests ( prior authorizations ) They’d pick and choose when they would require me to pay a “ co pay” wich I have no issue paying. But when u don’t have one required and every now and again at random they “ say there’s a co pay” just weird. **** literally recorded my phone and in person interactions After the 3-4th issue. I was told by somebody The pharmacy directly that I was being treated a certain type of way because of the medication I was Prescribed the picking up. I never threw this person under the bus Because I respect honesty, but I do have the information recorded It took about 3 to 4 formal corporate complaints at the level above the pharmacy Before I notice a shift and attitude and Treatment BLP has gone out Of their way to make sure I get my meds and im treated good. Honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better place when a company services hundred People you’re bound to have a bunch of negative reviews as well because sometimes you got people that And then, sometimes you have situations that aren’t common that unfortunately do happen to people But again, my biggest issues has been the Walgreens Pharmacy chains
These people are very difficult to get in touch with and I’m writing this because I have a family member who uses them and every month there seems to be an issue mostly they can’t count 28 days they give you 28 days… worth of medication and then make you wait 30 to refil it.. there are better providers out there.. if you don’t want a hassle every month don’t use them…
This place is unprofessional. They give appointments then act like the appointment doesn't exist. They are not professional, organized, and there doctors are not board certified.
The level of care I just received from Better Life Partners is quite frankly astounding to me. I was with my wonderful former telehealth group for a whole year but they could no longer meet emerging regulation in my… state so I had to seek another provider. The first provider I called - a hybrid physical/telehealth clinic not far from me - strung me along for an over a week. I provided all my info on the first call and they said they’d call me back shortly with an appointment date. I waited 4 days and never heard back from them. I called every day thereafter to gently request an update and was told over and over that that they’d never heard of me or I wasn’t in the system and someone would call me back. All the while my medication supply dwindling. I finally had to give up. I understand that providers are very busy and was prepared to have patience, but repeatedly being lied to is not fun especially when time is of the essence. It was nerve racking. I called BLP today to inquire about availability for an intake appointment. I was prepared to wait at least a week. The initial call took approximately 15 minutes and I was (shockingly) given an intake appointment just an hour later along with 4 future appointments. I then Zoomed with an intake coordinator, intake clinician, and scheduling coordinator seamlessly in only 55 minutes - all professional, very kind, patient, and thorough. BLP was happy to schedule around my odd work hours and even gently informed me that I didn’t need to apologize for asking for scheduling accommodations. In my experience, it’s really a gamble as to what level of care you will receive when you begin a new relationship with a provider. Sometimes it’s a rather unpleasant surprise and you’re not even treated as a human being. More often, the care is fine and adequate. Occasionally you’ll hit the jackpot. Major thank you to the team at Better Life Partners, you truly go above and beyond. You’ve streamlined this process to perfection. And I could feel true compassion from every single person I interacted with. What a relief! It’s a jackpot situation. PS- As I wrote this, I received a notification from my pharmacy that my prescription is filled and waiting for me… ALREADY. I only got off the intake Zoom one hour ago!
Incredibly unprofessional, rude, completely wasted my time. Avoid.
Yesterday I joined a meeting and the girl randomly throws a trick question at me asking me what state I'm in. I was in Vermont because that's where I work. Now since it suddenly matters where I am I got kicked out of my… meeting. Tried texting them they couldn't finish the conversation now I've been calling and texting and emailing and I can't figure out why they won't just answer me. I wanna put in a formal complaint. You're supposed to help people not randomly through rules at them without giving effective notice then you ignore me
i feel so lucky to have been with BLP for almost 18 months. It has been such a helpful part of my recovery and great resource
My experience on Thanksgiving was alarming due to receivinga prescription in the state of Vermont that I couldn't fill. It is normally covered by my Vermont Medicaid by my prescribing doctor from better life partners. A… new doctor which was not enrolled in a program in Vermont to allow me to have my Vermont Medicaid coverage was the one to write it this time. I reached out to BLP, and received a call back the same day. At that point my prescription was fixed and I received my medication by the program by having a different written prescriber. I will stay sober and present with my family for this holiday. This was concerning but quickly resolved on a long holiday weekend. Thank you to "Better Life Partners".
