About Groups Recover Together – Lewiston
Groups Recover Together operates from 217 Main Street in Lewiston. The site sits in Androscoggin County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Auburn, Bridgton and Sabattus. Maine draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at Groups Recover Together
Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Buprenorphine is available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

I can't say enough positive about my experience with GROUPS. From all of the counselors, providers and office staff's availability to the flexibility of meeting times, connection to resources and the personal advocation… MULTIPLE Groups representatives have provided for me throughout my participation in this program. Thumbs way up.
I’ve been coming to groups for. A few years. They have changed a lot to keep up with the times. They were one of the first in the area. It use to be a lot different years ago. You wanted to get sober it may have taken… weeks to get in for your initial appointment Nowadays with everything on the app/online it’s a blessing as you can be using today and be sober tomorrow. You have to do your part. I’m grateful for the program. They will work with you and your schedual. My only gripe is they don’t offer a long term option for people who are stuck on suboxone for pain management. And that the turn over rate for counselors is super high. They will work with you and do anything they can to help you as long as you’re doing your part and even help you with anything else you may need housing finding a dr, anything you just got to ask. - E . M. Maine
Josie(I hope I spelt that right) is a testament to how good these folks are. If you have an issue they will stand up and go to full bat for you. Give her a raise she's phenomenal at her job. Savage is awesome too, I… just have to add, I'm glad she's my counselor, I rarely connect with people but she's my type of people
The groups is a good thing but don't get case manager because they're not considerate or thoughtful of anybody or anything
Groups have been a life saver for me. I had been in recovery for many years but life happens and my good karma was waning. Groups helped me greatly, we developed a workable treatment plan and today I feel that I am back… to my old regular great attitude and life. Thank you, each and everyone at Lewiston's Groups.
Groups recovery together has been very helpful in keeping me sober.i know the people there care and have helped me in times of hardship with with words of affection enciuragment and support.ive found the group to be… more helpful then I expected..ty for being there for me!!
I am a very difficult learner and am very hard on myself...I was standing in my own way and didn't even notice it!!! Groups Recover Together was patient with me in my recovery as I needed. If you want something enough… you WILL keep on standing and eventually thru trial and error will get out of your own way and succeed. Groups Recover Together lead me to the water and it was I that decided to drink..Thank You for your continuous help and support. 🔑 Ingredients essential to RECOVERY. Also my opinion is my faith in God is also detrimental to success 🙌
I look forward to hearing every one in groups every week like family...can be more honest with them too...only solutions no rejecting... I need groups in my life to keep recovery strong
I was REALLY disappointed by how difficult it seemed to get started on Suboxone when I called around to make inquiries. I was terrified of withdrawal after 3+ years of prescribed dilaudid. I was referred to you by a… local psychiatrist and you guys helped me every step of the way! I will recommend you in a heartbeat!
When your in a position to get better, to be better, to over-come whatever your struggling with, this is the place to go. With a strong team work vibe, it is a place where you can create your own plan, meet long… term/short term goals, make friends, feel empathy for and from others, and at the end of the day be and feel totally supported. Being an addict is hard enough, but being an addict in recovery and navigating this world can be nightmarish. Your not alone, especially here. Before you sign up for a 4 hour a day IOP program where there is a zero tolerance for cannabis and if you relapse you lose your script and are made to feel like you can't progress without being perfect (though for some thats exactly what they need and thats ok) give this place a call and just meet them. Its not for the addict whose not ready though, that's for sure. The independence they give you is vast and if your not ready for that and to be honest, do the work, you will find yourself being directed to a program more like the one I mentioned above. Trust me. I spent 5 years in a program like that and it NEVER mattered how long id been clean. The standards were always the same and when it came time to taper down I did not feel supported. If I smoked a little weed I was treated like i went on a week long bender. Assess where you are, what your ready for. Do your research and when the time comes Group's Recover Together will be there for you with a smile, a fist bump and relaxed and accepting attitudes. No matter who you are or what your dealing with. Its a week to week type program with one time weekly group sessions. They have long term folks and newbies mixed in together which I find allows perspective and insight. Sessions with doc are via video chat (even before COVID-19). Your judged based on your commitment, consistency and reliability. Do what your supposed to when your supposed to and you'll be super. N/A jargon is not used here, though meetings are encouraged, which they should be. There is no religious affiliation which for some in this game is a relief. Good luck and remember just take it all in stride.
Being a part of Groups Recovery has been for the best... it's help my husband and I have an outlet outside of each other....but also has transformed a using unhealthy relationship into a flourishing healthy bond. Using… was a part of the past, but the leaps and bounds have been BIG....and we are grateful!
I have been an addict for over a decade now and have been a part of various recovery programs. Groups Recover Together sets the standard in the recovery community. The program allows members to get the recovery tools… they need without putting a hold on everyday life.
Very welcoming ! I am extremely comfortable with my counselor and love the group I am in! I appreciate the every day motivational texts as well as they come at the most opportune moments! Give them a call if you are… sick and tired of being sick and tired!!!
Groups works for me and with me. Not only are they great about payments, but they actually care. Group is typically 45 minutes to an hour once a week, over video chat. You meet with the actual medical provider once a… month to discuss your dose of meds, cravings and general well being. If your struggling to get sober like I was, take the first step, make the call, it could save your life. It has mine. If your worried about the cost , maine care is accepted and so are most other insurance. Other wise its typical 65 a week and another 20 to 30 for the meds. Also recommend downloading the Good rx app. Will cut the price of ur meds to 1/ 3rd the cost. With good rx tabs are around 20 and strips are around 30.
I love this place.i have tried others and had no success.but so far so good.it helps having a great staff that promotes accountability.cuz thats what works for me.like they say"if it aint broke dont fix it"i currently… still attend and plan on staying until...well who knows.im just taking it one day at a time.keep on keepin on....peace. Well just that i thank yall everyday for the opportunity to attend groups.you guys saved my life.i think i would either be in jail or dead by now.thats why im trying to attend community college so i can do what you do and give back.
Recovery done right.
