Great clinic. Owner/director ruins the experience. Noah Wills is a snake in the grass. Ruined a 20 year attendance because I broke my neck and had 6 disks fused. Rather than "do no harm" he decided not to work with me.… Horrible doctor and horrendous human being. All true to their journey beware.

Clinic fallen to 1 because of owner inserting himself back into decatur clinic. I'm a new client at ARC. I find that the clinic is very structured, which works well for me. So far my Counselor ( Alya ) is a good fit for… me. Very mellow personality.

I have been in Methadone Maintenance Recovery for 35 years. I began at Alliance in the summer of 1996 when they opened their flagship clinic in Decatur. The late Ned Etherington knew how to, and with his sons and… wonderful wife, put together the best Clinics I've ever visited. This is the by far the best clinic in the State of Georgia. The owner hired all of the BEST TALENT around....people with experience who are well known in the MMT community locally. If you need to guest dose, this IS THE PLACE to go to folks. I had to relocate because I moved back home and because of my age. I really did a LOT OF SOUL SEARCHING before I transferred. But there comes a time when you have to make changes and my new clinic is just 15 miles away as opposed to my 104 mile round trip drive. I miss Alliance so much. I had a special love for the staff, and Mr. Etherington and his family. Friends, if you will go by the book and keep a good attitude...this is the clinic HANDS DOWN ! I miss you good people at Alliance. You deserve all of the accolades that come your way. Thank you for working with me and possibly saving my life. I am appreciative.....Bill G.

I really like this facility. It’s not sterile and cold and lifeless like other facilities. The staff is great and friendly and they do more than is expected of them to help us out. I tried to get this right for 11 years… and couldn’t do it. Finally I arrived at ARC and I’ve been doing well ever since.

They truly care about their patients. Jorden has been my counselor for the past two years and she is a tremendous therapist. She is extremely educated in her field and helps people overcome their issues. Also they take… insurance and Medicaid.

(Male Patient of 3+ years) • The counselors and nurses here are spectacular! They maintain a caring, nurturing, and friendly attitude towards their patients. • The doctor who runs the place seems like a good guy— he can… come off as a little rigid, stern, and unwelcoming at first, but once you sit down and talk with him, you immediately sense that he deeply cares about his patients and is genuine to the recovery process. • "Most" of the people here foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere, and the group sessions we take part in are enriching, thought-provoking, and effectively therapeutic. For some of us, we consider our group members as family—and that is exactly the type of socialization you want at a place like this. (I'd also like to spotlight a few key staff members who I feel deserve the most praise.) • Katie, one of the nurses, is excellent at her job. She's worked here for quite a while and still maintains the same level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and kindness as she did when we first met. She's seen many staff come and go, but throughout all the years of rotating nurses, she always stayed. • Amanda, one of the counselors, has been an integral part of my personal journey and never hesitates to go above and beyond what's usually expected in terms of support. She has a kindness matched by no other, is supportive, patient, and understanding—without her, I don't know where I'd be today. • Jorden, another one of the counselors, also runs a group session once a week. Her sessions are always fun, engaging, and therapeutic for everyone in attendance. Like others I've previously mentioned, she is kind, sympathetic/empathetic toward others, trustworthy, a great communicator, skilled at her profession, and overall a wonderful person. You can tell she sincerely cares about the work she does and the people she helps along the way! • Negative Note: The only negative I can think of would be the receptionist's attitude as of late. She used to be cordial, respectful, friendly, and professional, but things have slowly changed over time. Now it's to the point that I wish I didn't have to interact with her sometimes—I still keep it cordial and respectful on my end though, regardless of someone else's feelings. • Conclusion: I highly recommend this place for anyone struggling with addiction, substance abuse, and/or general dependency on drugs. There are other facilities like this one, but most of them are genuinely bad: from uncaring staff and shady patients who trade and sell drugs, to lack of quality treatment and access to resources, most of these places are severely unregulated and detrimental to someone genuinely trying to recover—but not Alliance Recovery Center, this place is a Godsend!
