Very friendly and supportive staff. Would recommend to anybody who's serious about taking the first steps of recovery
People were super friendly. Just make sure u wanna stay before ur ride leaves u! I apologize for acting the way I did.
Great place the whole staff is amazing and they took so much care of me I would recommend this place to anybody who is struggling the whole staff is truly amazing but I want to thank Jonathan personally he really cares… for everyone and is just trying to make sure people have a plan when they get out and stay on the right path for the rest of their life love this place
This place and these wonderful people were exactly what I needed, just when I needed it. It’s a safe and secluded environment, staffed with people who have a vested interest in your recovery.
Had a great experience with detox at American. Kind and passionate staff and patients. I enjoyed my time here and the connections I made
My son was a patient here . He did his detox treatment (8days) . The hardest part was leaving him. I knew he was gonna be OK and sober when he came home. The staff was amazing on intake I was able to call everyday… multiple times a day and check on him. The nurses were friendly and allowed me to ask questions and kept me very informed. He wasnt able to speak to me but they would let him know I had called . We didnt have insurance so it was self pay. When I got him today the nurses hugged him and told him how proud they were of him , completing and finishing out his treatment. He got a certificate of completion. I think we were prouder of that paper than his HS diploma. He gained tools he needed to help him on the road to recovery. It won't be easy, 7OH isn't any easy drug. He would say the beds weren't best, but nothing is as comfortable as home..the food was eeee repetitive everyday. But it was filling. He was invited back to groups , which he said he probably would do and he would actually miss the people there. Addiction is hard, it is not just the person addicted suffering its the family too. I am thankful we found American detox they truly helped my son and got us on the road to recovery. Thank you American detox -
Save my life, my family and my spirit 🙌 the support, rooms and food was above and beyond God bless them❤️
Therapists and staff are excellent and caring. Would absolutely recommend.
My partner recently checked into this facility. Staff was fairly nice but they did not follow up with me but one time at the start. Never heard from them again until after he was released on the 7th day. Come to find… out they limited his contact completely. He came home losing more than 10 lbs in weight! Turns out there was a very limited food selection and he complained there was not much food available. Chips were only offered throughout the day. And food was limited and ordered from the same 3 restaurants. The refrigerator and freezer was not stocked with food throughout the day. So I'm a bit confused as to what is going on here. I am familiar with the setup of these establishments from past experience. But this is a first to see such a place not even offer basic food necessities in such a limited environment. That refrigerator and freezer should be stocked with standard healthy heavy protein food (non leftover) for the house to eat on a daily basis. He had to go to the hospital for treatment for nutrition the next day. It hurts me to write this but this facility could use an improvement.
Overall I was satisfied. Loved almost every aspect of it and that's why I decided to stay for Residential. Though with any facility there are issues and I felt that Jonathan did not communicate with me very well and I… was told I was leaving on Xmas Eve just hours before I was to get in the Uber. Also, as awesome and personable as David is I found his interaction with females incredibly unprofessional and inappropriate. Daniel, the nurse, also had his moments of glaring unprofessionalism and awkwardness with female clients. Bottom line... I'd definitely recommend American and loved my time there. Made friends with staff and clients that I hope will last.
They kicked me out for being too aggressive, they put it under my refusal to their offers of transfer, because they were 6+ month commitments, I need to work. At the end of the day, the maintenance guy followed me… around Chesnee the day I was kicked out expecting me to immediately do something. I got a ride home thanks be to Jesus. I'm doing great and it's not because of anything they did except keep me isolated from freedom for a few weeks. The lessons are good but to Say I was too aggressive means there's something wrong with that program.
Great staff and people, I always felt taken care of, and motivated to move in the right direction.
My wife was at American Detox from 11/3 - 11/7. I only got to speak to her 1 time. I called every day to check on her. On 11/17 they sent her in a Uber driver to Mount Pleasant SC. To be treated for her bi-polar &… personality disorder at Sea Grove. The uber drivers dropped her off at a gas station in Cassie SC about 100 miles away from Sea Grove and left her there.A lift driver was supposed meet the Uber driver and take her to Sea Grove. I called to see if she made it ok was told lift had her &was on the way to Sea Grove she should be there in about 2 hours. She never made it to Sea Grove. My daughter & I tried for 2 days to get answers as to where she was no one would give us an answer or even call us back with information as to where she was. We were worried out of our minds not knowing where she was or what may have happened to her. Finally on the 3rd day I got some answers.after making a lot calls. The lift driver didn’t take her to Sea Grove, The driver took her to where the bi- polar/ split personality/ addiction patient told to take her. She doesn’t have a phone with her because American Detox said she couldn’t have one. I still have not heard from America Detox. Sea Grove did track down the lift driver on day 3 and let us know where she was. This is so messed up & unprofessional for something like this to happen. I recommend not to send a loved one to America Detox.
Good experience. Need to make sure you follow up and talk to multiple people on staff to make sure you have the correct next steps and expectations but other than that it’s great. The staff really care and make sure you… have what you need to recover.
Loved staying at American detox it served its purpose and got me moving in the right direction
I am so grateful for American detox and treatment center! I could not have asked for better care during one of the most difficult times of my life. They took great care of me and have an amazing staff there. I highly… recommend this place.
Ive been to a few detox facilities and this place was the best by far. The staff are angels on earth. They have big hearts and really took care of me. It was a very healing experience. I left there feeling strong,… healthy and motivated, with great tools to use to live a new life sober. Im forever grateful ❤️🙏
All in all it was a pretty good experience the staff r amazing the 38 days there put me on the right path...I absolutely love Renee Def my favorite honest and raw love it thx to everyone...
Worst experience of my life but it’s gonna make a great documentary some day . lol
If you would like a center that provides recovery and treatment and you would like it just to check off a box that you’ve done it then I would say this is a decent facility to do so. I know my partner wasn’t as serious… as he should have been, but he was able to make contact with me daily through messages from staff and through devices- could not focus on his own recovery. When he left the facility, they gave him all the meds and sent him home- not a brilliant idea and landed him back in treatment within the week. Needless to say, there are many blurred lines and was not effective. He is finally in a center where he is greeting what he needs.
I honestly needed my 8 days at ADTC. I was really worried about it but after the first day I was comfortable and made some good friends. It's top notch!
Was very helpful in separating me from my addictions. Was impressed with the groups and was so much more than I expected. Different from other centers that you actually learn while your there.
My experience was positive in treating my addiction. I was very happy with the staff. I would highly recommend American Detox!
