Brave Health – Miami Detox and Rehab Services

What Brave Health – Miami offers, on record, is intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Ask directly about session times and frequency, as those details decide whether someone can realistically attend.

DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS IT IS YOUR ONLY OPTION - AND IF IT IS BEWARE IT IS TERRIBLE. This is one of the few places that takes my insurance and was accepting new patients when I needed to start treatment so I’ve been… dealing with them for a year and a half now for therapy/med management. Nothing is predictable, or consistent. I was just assigned my FOURTH provider, because apparently it’s such a terrible place even the providers don’t want to work here. They use AI for their telephone system and scheduling and it’s horrible. I get alerts about things and fill out forms but never hear anything back. I was supposed to have an appointment today with a new randomly assigned provider but never got the link so I called only to find out they didn’t have an appointment scheduled?! Even though I had text and email confirmations saying I did and no communication saying it was cancelled. So now I have to play voicemail tag with an AI robot and hope that when they call back I’m available to try and reschedule and get a medication refill - hopefully before my meds run out in a couple days and I go through withdrawal. If you aren’t available when they call, they don’t leave a voicemail or try back at a later time, and if you call back it’s just the same useless robot system. When I was in weekly therapy, it was hard to get a regular schedule because people could just call the AI and make an appointment whenever - current patients aren’t prioritized - so there was never a set schedule for sessions which throws off your entire day and sometimes your week, especially when you need to take time off of work for it. Appointments have been dropped - with no notice by the way - for not responding to the first text reminder confirming an appointment. If you respond to the second one 24 hours later, that’s too late! Billing is an absolute joke too! Sometimes I get charged a copay, sometimes I don’t, sometimes I get charged a bunch of copays at one time. There isn’t a patient portal, so I can’t see any records at all or privately message a provider - you only have the one main number they give everyone. The one time I needed records for an accommodation, it was a ton a running around in circles and filling out forms and calling and leaving voicemails only to find out I couldn’t get what I needed and I ended up having to go to my primary care doctor. All this company clearly cares about is money, not its patients (and probably not its providers if the turnover rate is any indication), because if they REALLY cared things would be predictable and consistent and transparent and it would be easy to talk to a real person when there’s an issue.

This was my first appointment with Jaqynne Diamond at Brave Health, and she made the entire mental health intake process an absolute breeze. From the very beginning, she was warm, incredibly knowledgeable, and went… above and beyond to be helpful. Discussing mental health can feel daunting, but her friendly and compassionate approach instantly put me at ease and made me feel completely comfortable opening up. On top of that, the telehealth appointments are tremendously convenient, and I am so happy they accept Medicaid. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and am deeply grateful for her support.

THE WORST company that neglects their patients. No possible means of direct communication and constant employee turnover. The stories I'm hearing from friends is getting to be something the news and public would love to… hear about.

Brave Health is just as bad as people say, hardly any support from the doctors and therapists who are supposed to help, they overcharge on the bill and expect you to pay for it.

I thought I was the only person with issues with them. I was discharged for not engaging after my therapist canceled and gave me 5 days to respond. I had reached out many times for medication management and got no… reply. What a shame.

ZERO STARS. ACTUALLY NEGATIVE TWO STARS. Single handedly the most poorly managed behavioral health group I’ve ever encountered in my 13 years of mental health care. Onboarding is all automated so there’s no way to ask… any questions to ensure they provide the care you need. When you leave voicemails for a ‘representative to call you back’ they are never returned. There is essentially no way to talk to anyone that can actually help you and their robots are not sophisticated enough to do anything other than collect data and I assume bill. It took nearly a week to onboard, which honestly is par for the course if not quick (the only redeeming quality of the experience). Intake felt rushed, but efficient I suppose. I opened my intake with clarifying I am only interested in therapy, zero need for psychiatric care and require flexible scheduling. I was assured on both counts there would be no issues. After my appointment I received no follow up regarding scheduling and therapist matching. When I followed up several days later I was scheduled without actually being consulted for a therapist appointment. I immediately informed them it wasn’t within my availability and provided my availability. I have since then followed up 5 times with no response. Though I have received 5 separate invitations to psychiatric services. Ultimately this has been a frustrating, exhausting waste of time when I could’ve been pursuing services with a provider that actually cares and provides services. Formally filing a complaint with the Florida Health Care Complaint Portal as well!

This is one of the most unprofessional and frustrating companies I have ever dealt with. I contacted BeBrave Health to schedule a virtual appointment with a psychiatrist for medication management for my son around 8 in… the morning. What should have been a simple process turned into a two day ordeal that somehow ended with their system waking me up at 3:10 a.m after I had already canceled my appointment. Their website is inefficient, and there is virtually no real customer service. I had to complete an appointment request and the patient intake forms twice, yet I never received an email or text confirmation that my submissions had been received. There was no way to know whether anything had actually gone through. Instead of working with an actual scheduling representative, nearly everything is handled through bots and a really subpar automated system. After providing all of my information including my insurance details multiple times, a live person finally called late the following afternoon to tell me they couldn’t verify the insurance information I had submitted by text and through their their patient forms. The representative said it would have to be sent to another department for verification, and they would contact me later. At that point, I decided to find another provider. I was able to schedule an appointment elsewhere without any of these issues. Then, without my agreement to a provider, date, or time, I received a text at 3:10 p.m. stating that BeBrave Health had scheduled me with a counselor for the following week. I had specifically requested a psychiatrist for medication management, not a counselor, so this appointment didn’t even meet my needs. I immediately called and canceled the appointment. Although their automated system confirmed the cancellation, they continued sending texts and emails instructing me to complete onboarding forms for the canceled appointment. The final straw came at 3:10 a.m., when their automated system woke me up with more texts and emails about those same onboarding forms. I called to cancel again, only to be told there was no appointment in their system. At that point, I marked their messages as spam and blocked their calls and emails. My experience was disorganized from start to finish. The lack of communication, overreliance on automation, scheduling an appointment without my consent, and continued notifications after cancellation made this an incredibly frustrating experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Dr. Humphrey / Brave Health did not look at my previous health records and what I’ve already been prescribed and he’s prescribing me things that I’ve already been prescribed after telling him how it made me feel and… didn’t like it laughing at me during appointment when I’m expressing how I been feeling .. that was not a good or supportive feeling Then to top it off didn’t send in my meds as promised and it’s Friday and they are closed on weekends. Very poor communication/ no live line Prompting you to leave a voicemail and nobody calls you back for three days at a time

I had a mental health evaluation done through this clinic on May 14th, they have yet to upload my documentation to my genesis so I can provide it for my CID packet. Every time I have called I have been getting the run… around and I’ve been told multiple times “someone will call you” and no one has called me back yet. A waste of my time. In regards to my actual appointment. Terrible. She had 3 or 4 other people with her during my appointment. I kept getting asked the same questions over and over as if she didn’t listen the first time. Her connection was bad so there was times where it was cutting out or just went out completely. Overall, my experience here was terrible and it was VIRTUAL so that’s says a lot. I don’t know why I had to be referred to this clinic anyway, it was a big waste of time.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! After looking at the reviews here I can see my daughter and I are not alone in our experience with this company. I had scheduled for medication management through Brave Health for my minor… daughter. Instead of receiving an appointment for that we received an appointment for a therapist, which she already has outside of this company. I called to cancel the therapy and get an appointment for medication management, when her appointment time came we had received no link. I called and was told the provider canceled the appointment but we were never notified. The best they could do was give us an appointment for a week and a half out when she only has medication for one more day. It is truly disappointing that a company that is involved with psychiatric care can be so careless and thoughtless. When I expressed this I was told to try to reach out to the provider that previously prescribed her medication or to take her to the emergency room. Horrible. Do not use this company!

Brave Health’s mismanagement has left my daughter without her prescribed medication for weeks. First, they failed to inform us that we both needed to be present for her medication management appointment. I was… explicitly told they only needed to speak with me. During that meeting, we were unable to obtain her medication and agreed on a specific date and time to reschedule. We both rearranged our schedules and showed up as agreed, only to be stood up by the provider. We later discovered she had unilaterally booked us for a completely different, inconvenient date and time a full week later without communicating this to us. She then failed to show up to that appointment as well. The final blow was a same day cancellation because the provider was “unexpectedly out of the office.” At no point was there urgency, accountability, or continuity of care. This is psychiatric medication management for a child. Weeks without medication due to administrative failure is unacceptable. We are taking our daughter’s care elsewhere. Families deserve better than this level of incompetence.

Cannot stand brave health whatsoever. Had two therapists through this company and both of them sucked. The first one ghosted me, she wouldn’t talk to me for three weeks, no calls, no texts. She would schedule stuff but… then not show up. The second one was just weird. When id call up the office to try and get things settled, they were rude. The entire “boarding” process was way too long, I never got properly diagnosed despite begging for testing. This all seemed more like volunteer work rather than actual professionals.

This is what like the 10th time where I have ran out of my medication because they always get the appointment date wrong? I had an appointment January 5th and I have reached out many times and not once have they… responded. I am currently out of my medication and while I can handle it, someone with severe mental health problems on a higher dose could be seriously impacted.

Been trying to get an appointment for my teen son for two weeks call the number it puts you on hold then say leave a name and number no call back . Text the number an automated call and say to call the number or either… an automated text saying to call and schedule no one answers or replies. I’m going to follow up with the health insurance and see if this is the telemedicine that is available. A really horrible experience regarding something as important as mental health. Now today 02/06/2026 I was able to finally schedule the appointment I’ll let you know how that goes. They had a survey for rating I advise to let the clients know it takes about 5 business days for the information to be loaded and the automated system able to schedule the appointment instead of having us call and text email everyday with no reply back! Would make for better reviews

The same problem as several others here: I call and they don't answer, I leave messages and they don't call back, I fill out the online forms and they don't respond. Carelon Behavioral Health told me to call them, but… I'm going to let them know about the problem.

Found a great counselor, then began with RNNP for help with meds.Heather RNNP, at end of first session said " sure we can do that just go get labs, then call me to "HEADS UP ME!" This is when it went down… hill.Unfortunatly, had labs drawn Dec 31,so no results until Jan 6,286 Called B.H.left V.M.correctly,followed by 6 more, along with few texts. No further communication by Heather,at this point I even asked for a supervisor or even a housekeeper, just someone to answer me from B.H.Now 5 weeks later,I had my follow up session ,she came on,and pretty much told me,"yeah sorry not going to be able to help you, sorry " This is now 5 weeks after initial consult. No communication in between. She had multiple excuses as to why she couldn't call in the RX.My whole frustration was it took her 5 weeks to get any response from her.Told,"yeah didn't get your messages until just the other day,I get at least 50 messages a day! Then my supervisor had to get involved TODAY and they said I couldn't prescribe you a stimulant. My whole anger' frustration is,she didn't know this ahead of time? Couldn't call me when she got the messages? Dragged me along for 5 weeks.Obviously doesn't know her job,had an excuse for each question I had. Then tried to change the subject. The whole issue was B.H. wouldn't write for a stimulant. Was this a new policy? So my issues are,#1)don't bother calling ,they DON'T return phone calls in 24 hours or at any time.#2)This woman obviously didn't know her company's policies, #3) She used the "Bait and Switch method.#4) the non stimulant med she prescribed...was $146 with insurance. Please be aware of costs of items.BTW,get so dizzy with it,won't use,so now I have to find another company who will work with me and not lead me on for 5 weeks and discard, waste this med she prescribed Just saying..... please ,my counselor is great, helpful and gets back to me,and like the idea of telehealth, but sometimes you don't always get the best...

Brave Health is the most disorganized, dysfunctional, and unprofessional company that I have ever personally or professionally been associated with. I could truly go on for hours about their lack of professionalism,… lack of communication, and lack of accountability. From their records department, to their billing department, I am in awe that a company can be so poorly managed. And this is coming from somebody who stuck with Brave Health for 2 years due to my insurance. If anybody out there is considering working with Brave Health, I STRONGLY urge you to look elsewhere. If anybody needs specific examples of lack of communication, inaccurate billing, rude customer service responses, etc., I would be happy to provide these. The lone bright spot in this company is Cristian, one of the therapists, who I pray moves on to a more deserving company in the near future. Once again, please avoid this company at all costs. Addition: Please look at the responses from Brave Health to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEIR TERRIBLE REVIEWS. They are identical. Further, when they tell you to email them about your concerns, I have emailed them probably 100 times about my concerns, with zero resolution from their team. This company should NEVER be considered by anybody looking for help, and will only add to your stresses. I cannot stress this enough, PLEASE DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER BRAVE HEALTH! HEAD THE WORDS OF THE COUNTLESS REVIEWS BELOW AND LOOK ELSEWHERE. My name is posted to this review and I live in Illinois. If you need personal examples of everything I have expressed, feel free to look me up on different social media platforms and I will do everything in my power to help you avoid this company.

- ⭐ 1 Star Negative Beware of Hidden Costs and Surprise Bills Breve Health does NOT practice honest billing. I paid every month and was never warned that my insurance was not covering the services. No phone call, no… written notice, no warning — nothing. Then suddenly, at the end of the year, I receive a $1,500 bill. This is unacceptable and irresponsible. Healthcare providers are obligated to disclose insurance coverage issues in real time, not months later. This feels intentionally misleading. Had I known my insurance wasn’t covering therapy, I would have made a different decision immediately. This company lacks transparency, accountability, and basic ethics. Patients should not have to fear surprise medical debt because a provider failed to communicate properly. I do not recommend Breve Health to anyone.

if i could leave negative stars i would . scheduled my intake appointment to have a briefing with somebody who was going to match me with a therapist and get me scheduled with medication management . my next appointment… was in 2 weeks and i was on the call early and waited 15 minutes and nobody showed up . called the help line and the operator was very nice and helped me see what was going on but she was just as confused as i was . told me she didn't know what was going on and helped me get another appointment 2 weeks out . today comes around and im once again early to my appointment and the provider once again did not show up . complete waste of time and extremely unprofessional to not even have a reason as to why i couldn't be seen . called the help line again and the same operator answered (she was very nice understanding and helpful) but again had no idea what the issue was . during the 4 weeks i've waited for my appointment i could have probably been scheduled and seen already by a different provider . so now im going to wait another 2 weeks with someone else because i wont risk this happening again . go somewhere else because this company is not credible and pretty much all the reviews say the same thing . do better .
