About LifeStance Health – Herriman

Child and Family operates from 31 John Clarke Road in Middletown. The site sits in Newport County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Melville, Newport East and Newport. Rhode Island draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at Child and Family

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

How Much Does Treatment at Child and Family Cost?

Treatment at Child and Family typically costs $1,500 to $5,500 a month for standard outpatient. These are Rhode Island market ranges rather than this facility’s own published figures. Published ranges move with length of stay, so treat them as a starting point for budgeting rather than a quote.

This site accepts private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and federal military insurance. Ask whether the quoted figure includes assessment, medication and aftercare, since those are often billed separately. What you pay turns on cover and length of stay rather than the headline range.

Child and Family Verified by the RehabSeekers Editorial Verification Team

This entry was checked by our Editorial Verification Team ahead of publication. Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare licensing records and the national treatment register were both consulted. Registration and licensing are matters of public record, which is what makes them worth checking rather than taking on trust.

Public records are the source here, not marketing copy. What the register confirms is the level of care offered, not the experience of receiving it. Listings are reviewed as those records change, though details can move faster than any register updates.

Child and Family Reviews and Ratings

Reviews of outpatient care at Child and Family tend to turn on how quickly someone was seen and how the first week felt. Registration data leaves that gap open, and lived experience is what fills it. Star ratings say less than a short account of what actually happened and when.

If you have used this service, describing what followed the program helps more than a rating. Whether family were involved, and at what stage, is worth mentioning too. Waiting times, staffing and how the first appointment was handled are the things future readers ask about.

Dear Cha Lee, After today’s experience, I now understand some of the concerns mentioned in your agency’s reviews. I was initially surprised by the low ratings, but my recent interaction clarified things. We had a scheduled phone call for June 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM. By 10:15, I had not received any contact from you, so I sent an email letting you know I could no longer continue with the call due to other commitments. Your response was simply to ask for my availability for next week. That response and the lack of communication or acknowledgment of the delay reflects poorly on the agency’s professionalism and respect for others’ time. Regardless of pay or opportunity, I cannot see myself working with an organization that demonstrates such disorganization and lack of accountability. I wish you and the agency the best, but I will not be moving forward with the process. Respect for people’s time, values, and effort is non-negotiable for me, and today’s interaction made it clear this may not be a priority within your team. Best regards, Bianca Martinez
