About Zinnia Exeter – Exeter

Zinnia Exeter operates from 251 Main Street in Exeter. The site sits in Washington County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Kingston and Westerly. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.

Detox and residential treatment are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, an opioid treatment program, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at Zinnia Exeter

Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Someone starting in detox can move into residential care without changing provider or repeating an intake. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Residential runs both short and long term, so the question at intake is which length the assessment points toward. Buprenorphine, methadone and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together.

Zinnia Exeter Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 251 Main Street, Exeter, RI 02822, in Washington County. The catchment reaches Kingston and Westerly. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

It's a shame the place was nice but now the staff just seem unmotivated and honestly just not into their jobs! No paper towels in the Restroom on one side! How many guys wash their hands with no paper towels, then go… straight for the kitchen and touch Bagels, bread etc ..... UNSANITARY!!! There is one guy Billy, who is one of the most caring guys ever and he's the only reason I'll leave 2 stars! Thank you Billy for caring!

Their PHP program is an absolute joke. It's hectic, uncontrolled and a waste of time. You're just a number. You're just an insurance grab. The lady at the desk who drives for the women's house is an arrogant and… unprofessional individual. Most, not all, facilitators for the groups are a joke. It's out of control, loud and unfocused. Any issues that arrive are brushed under the rug and forgotten about. You can never count on getting your medications filled on time, so many have to go without very important medications. I hope I never have to go through this process again. But if I do, I will never go back to Zinnia.

I was in a very dark place upon my arrival at Zinnia. Two hospital runs. Quite frightening. By day five I was ready to flee! However the staff was highly proactive and fought for me and my recovery.. I want to thank… Lindsey, Shannon, Misty, Chris, "Reagan, OMG Reagan is an angel sent down from the heavens! He always brought a smile and laughter to my soul! Erick, such a kind man. Incredibly talented and musically inclined. My kind of person. 🎶 Marvin is a gentle soul and has a beautiful smile.✨️ He could find anything lost. We couldnt locate our glue gun and tweezers but Marvin sure did in minutes. Always going above and beyond for us ladies. Thanks my brother. Dont ever change! Samantha (Sue) is a new BHT and always kept our space spic & spam clean and would leave inspirational notes all around our seating areas to read upon awakening. A very special soul. I appreciate you Sam! Ruthie is so very kind and super intelligent. She could diffuse any situation and made me feel safe. Karen always answered my questions and was very helpful and sweet. Kevin and I bumped heads at first however he is an incredible motivational speaker. I grew to really like Kevin. Thankyou buddy. You know what you did for me. 😁 Nurse Jenn is a gentle soul. Soft spoken and so very attentive. Nurse Miss Bee sat up with me for hours during my tremors and one of my many panic attacks. I will miss her most! Nurse Bobby Jo is so incredibly personable, kind and highly intelligent. Nurse Marcia, another pleasant woman with a caring bedside manner. I couldnt have done it without her. Sam, my therapist and Greek sister! She took my breath away and has a lovely personality to add. She came over to our untit to check on me when she heard I was ill. Definitely an asset to this facility. Big shout out to certain patients. You know who you are. M, C, A, S, A, and J. I wish you all the very best in your recovery. Thank you! Now for some constructive criticism. The kitchen staff should be wearing hair nets and gloves while handling food. Come 'on ppl everybody knows this. The food temperature must be regulated. We had several girls fall ill due to bacterial cross contamination. This needs to be addressed.

Zinnia is a special place. It's very clear to see that the staff aren't just doing this for a paycheck. The love that was shown to me during my stay was unparalleled. Tom, Linda, Jenn, Erin, Jaime, Olivia, Erick,… Reagan, Emily, Dr. Skip, Britney, Jen, Beatriz, Veronica, Darlene, Bobby Jo, Kristiana, Lindsey, Marvin, Nick, Ralph, Kim, Amanda, Mike, Tom and Chef Erick. Thank you for for showing me that it wasn't all over for me and there is a second chance at life for me. I'll never forget this experience. ❤️

Zinnia Health continues be a collaborative partner in providing golden standard care to clients who are in need. Their leadership team and admissions team are top notch with their communications, commitment to care and… always trying to get to the “yes” to ensure clients needs are met. If you or a family member are in need of co-occurring treatment I would professionally highly recommend. You will be treated with dignity and respect. Thank you again Zinnia for the ongoing professional partnership!!!

I was in a dark place stuck in addiction I could not let go of, I was accepted to this program while being in Fatima hospital in Rhode Island. Once I got to zinnia I was so sad because I had no one y my side no family… but I also thought I didn’t belong there. I soon realized that I was in the right place at the right time. I was helped tremendously I was given a therapist a doctor my medications for helping me sleep when I couldn’t as I going through withdrawal of cocaine and marijuana. I met good people there at zinnia I made a lot of friends that became my family. zinnia is a great facility they have great staff great doctors great therapists and great food. They have fresh food made daily for us and it was delicious they also had snacks and a fridge and a kitchen for us to eat during the day the beds were great and there is also a gym and you can also smoke cigarettes and vape too. This place helped me realize that I was an addict and that I needed help before I lost my life completely I highly recommend this place for you brother or sister mom or dad cousin or friend this place makes miracles happen.

I experienced the PHP program in Cranston.. it was a horrible experience housing was nice, they shuttle you to you to there headquarters that's if the staff arrives on time- where they seat you in a circle. And talk… about absolutely nonsense all day 7-4pm talking about nonsense not helping you with real life skills or to better your life after the fact . you obviously can't work or have very limited time too. It's all an insurance money grab and they know it you're just a number and a paycheck for them. I strongly suggest going elsewhere.

The facility overall was excellent. While there are a lot of unnecessary rules — many of which even staff don’t consistently enforce, often for good reason — the experience was still overwhelmingly positive. The… exceptions were the two or three “storm-trooper” staff members who seemed more focused on rigid enforcement than on helping patients. The kitchen staff, however, were absolute standouts. The food was consistently on point, and the team ran things like true professionals. Reagan, Kevin, Marvin, Shannon, Jay, and either Ralph or Phil were cool as ice. These guys should be running the place. They were strict, but always fair. If any of them were giving you a hard time, you probably earned it. I want to give special recognition to Reagan and Kevin — genuinely two of the most authentic, sincere people I’ve ever met. I read a review saying the staff in recovery didn’t know how to handle addicts, and I STRONGLY disagree. In my experience, the staff members who were in recovery went above and beyond for patients multiple times, even in situations where they risked being reprimanded for helping. My only real complaint is consistency. Either dial back some of the rules, or have the “storm-trooper” staff follow the lead of the standout team members above — because those guys truly embody what this place should be about. I also want to shout out Jay one more time. He helped me out in a major way and he really didn’t have. All you guys. Keep doing what you do!

DDOOOO NOOITTT GOO TOO THIS PROGRAM I WAS COURT ORDED I did not use I failed a urine for cocaine during a week of a bunch of false positives and I just made it home after 7 months and I wasn't even an addict my lawyer… told me it would be better they just kicked me out today this program is not worth it bridgemark and Galilee mission is a way better program everybody talks so highly about the food not really that good they monitor three calls a week 10 minutes each call even PHP is not that good this program is not worth it take it from me please do not go to this program just to add I've went and got blood work done the day that they said that they failed the blood work came back negative for everything so did the drug test that Ocean State recovery highly recommended tests were negative as well it was kind of sad for zinnia to kick me out without any further investigation considering I was a very unique situation court ordered and it was my life depending on it so all that goes to show is that if my life depended on zinnia zinnia would not help me so if you think that you're sobriety and your life matters in any way zinnia is not the place to go to for help there are many other options in this state and out of the state if you're health insurance covers it but zinnia truthfully and I mean this sincerely from my heart is not the option I have court tomorrow that said if I didn't complete the program that I was going back to prison I cannot get in touch with administration to save my life and they have been answering very few emails I have been emailing out telling them how important it is I get my own lab results as a patient It is what it is just another way not only are there facility not only are there an attorney but they're the people who are supposed to care about my life and if one thing singles me out from every patient in that facility it's that my life depended on them and they couldn't so much is write me a letter saying that my levels were what they factually were or return a phone call in the matter I'm just furthering updating the public because I feel like it is my duty to let you guys know what I am going through you can take me is just another addict liar but you don't know me as a person I have never done anything that I've seen those people in the program do and I'm definitely not lying to you this is what I am going through do not go to this program

Honestly, a lot of the staff seems a little overworked and shorthanded. The food is good, but could be updated.Other than that, it's great to meet a lot of people.I love the groups and classes. Some of the staff needs to… learn their boundaries. And the med doctors need to catch up and be more efficient honestly. They keep asking me for my review.I've been there twice for 6 days and I have left both times due to conflicts. Some of the staff is amazing. The other half seems a little overwhelmed and shouldn't be working there. I don't see how people that have their own issues are allowed to take care of 26 grown adults in a small corridor and say that they made it. While trying to tell others that they can when they can't even handle their own thing during the day. So honestly, I think a sober staff would be more at hand for a detox program than hearing that women are detoxing or need help and then being controlled by other people. That also could use their own help other than that. I think the program is very workable. Google, the groups are amazing. And I do have to say, i will specifically point out other people that were amazing. In my group and the staff, but the ones that came from a hard time and now trying to take care of people that are having a hard time. It just doesn't work for me. But the staff that didn't have an issue that were there for us seemed like they tried harder. So I'm gonna say again, it's better to have a completely. Sober staff, taking care of unsober people.

Awful experience, seems they love to pack as many people into a tight space as possible for that insurance money. If you want to brag about how cool you are because you were a terrible criminal, got caught, and was the… hardest person in prison then this place is for you. Toxic environment and I'd hardly call it therapeutic. Just seems like a place where people can avoid jail. Once inside the building the nurses seem annoyed to help you. There are some really good staff I must say. But overall if you genuinely want a therapeutic environment to heal I'd avoid this place entirely. If you just don't want to do jail time but want to kick it with like minded people then this is the place for you. You can find sobriety anywhere but I don't recommend this place...

I am very disheartened to say that this program clearly prioritizes profit over patient care. My brother was inpatient at this facility. He ended up having to be sent out to the hospital for stomach issues. When I went… to collect his clothing that I was reassured by the staff at Zinnia Exeter, Rhode Island was locked up was safe, it had all been stolen, and I was completely stonewalled by the rehab as to how to get my money back. Every piece of clothing is catalog when it is dropped off and that all correlates to the receipt I still have. Yet a week later, a 40 minute trip to the facility on Sunday and a reassurance that I would be called by the boss on Monday have all come to nothing. I am recovering from cancer surgery and took money I did not have to buy those clothes for my brother. Not only did they allow those clothes to be either misplaced or stolen, but now they will not stand behind the mistake and reimburse me the $117 I spent. I also witnessed a drug raid in progress by the state police while I was on the premises waiting for these items to be retrieved. Considering somebody obviously snuck drugs into the facility, coupled with my own experience. I do not recommend this facility, unless you want your loved one who is already struggling to be literally robbed of the clothes off their back or to relapse because drugs are on the premises. This is not the place to send someone you love. It’s disgraceful. It’s disheartening and they made no attempt to make it right even with a receipt.
